Hospitality requires professionals. When you deal with small places like Bliss it is often a side project with no resources available to answer questions. The oncall person was rather salty when we had some issues getting to the property even though it was during daytime. The signage could be better, the lights on the back stair were not working.

5 stars. The covered porch made the difference between this and other properties. If it wasn’t sold out in July when I return, I’d book again in a heartbeat. Deduct 1/2 star for no elevator though. 23 steps lugging 45lbs of luggage. I’m a professional traveler and travel lightly, but for a 2-week stint in Canada, one never knows what weather will be in store. If you’re a light traveler, feel free to add the 1/2 star back in. As it was, the weather was beautiful and the views from the porch are spectacular. Deduct another 1/2 because wireless while it worked in the room, it didn’t 20 feet away on the porch. If you’re from Canada with an unlimited data plan, that won’t be an issue so there’s another 1/2 star back.

The suite with the water view was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. My only comment really is that there is no elevator and walking up the three flights to room was a bit bothersome for my knee. I knew before booking there was no elevator AND I’d also still book there as it was that good. Minor but the jets in the tub went off in the night and it was not clear how to turn them off.

This property has a fabulous view from the balcony where there are chairs and tables to relax. Nearby cafe for breakfast was also excellent. We didn't take advantage of the spa facilities - next time!

It’s okay, but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with mobility challenges as stairs are required. There seems to be better options in Powell River. The King Suites are huge though and have everything you need to be comfortable. Not having 24/7 front desk service might not work for some travellers.

Room was actually too large. Felt like a small apartment for a one night stay. Bathroom in-floor heating system didn’t work but thermostat controls made a loud mechanical click every 5-15 seconds…all night long. Very helpful staff but they were unable to fix it during our stay. Three floors of outside, slippery wooden stairs…two floors of steep inside stairs. No alternative option to get luggage to our room. Just too pricey for the room issues.

Great views from the room. Nice kitchen, well appointed. Loved the bath and fireplace. Needed instructions to use the fireplace because the knobs were hidden behind the bottom grid. The bedroom carpet needs a shampoo. There were stains on it. Otherwise the place is pristine.

Nice views from the room, check in was easy. Coffee and tea provided which is nice, spacious room with balcony. Shampoo available is very watery, expected better as rooms are part of a spa. Bathroom has in floor heat set up but not working, also washroom fan was not functional. Great location near ferry and restaurants and shops.

Very nice place , great view. Our only beef otherwise would have been 5 stars, was the layer of dust on my side table was very thick. Also housekeeping just opened the door an looked in at 9:45 when check out was 11:00.

Would highly recommend AGAINST staying here. The heat pump unit above the door had leaked at some point and there was a stain on the wall with black mould spots clearly visible. There were several signs clearly asking visitors to not change the mode of the heat pump (ie. heat or cool) saying that none of the units would work if the mode was changed. Due to this I was unable to lower the temperature in the room and it was much too warm for me to get a good night’s sleep. The only available ice was an individual ice machine in the room that had black mould inside it. The bathroom floor had very long, straight, black hair on it. I was the only person staying in the room and I have shoulder length, very curly grey hair. The bathroom floor had definitely not been vacuumed. The power cords hanging down from behind the tv on the wall were fluffy with so much dust and clumps of dust on them. I travel quite often and I don’t go looking for things dirty and wrong in a room so I just had to say something about this. I took pictures of all of this so I’m disappointed that I can’t share them here. Please, save your money and your health, and stay anywhere else.

booked in February for July vacation: a room 2 beds with balcony, they have 4 rooms with balcony, one on each conner of the building. They gave us the one with the view on the parking lot, to bad, when you reserved 5 months in advance to have the one with the worst view. "Kitchen": no cutlery, no plates or glasses. But every else was very nice.

Great room with lovely bathroom and balcony. Clean, nice amenities, and very friendly reception staff. Foam mattress was a little hot and a/c unit was a little noisy, but overall a good place to stay right next to the ferry. Restaurant next door was outstanding!

The unit was well situated and had a lovely view. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and allowed us into the unit early. The rooms were well equipped, very clean and the beds comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if in Powell River.

This property has a fabulous view from the balcony where there are chairs and tables to relax. Nearby cafe for breakfast was also excellent. We didn't take advantage of the spa facilities - next time!

Easy accessibility. Dining options nearby and an amazing view outside. Very comfortable place to sleep for the night and great cafes nearby for the morning. Carpet could use a shampoo for sure.

Clean property with great dining options within walking distance. I loved my stay here except that the first night was very cold and the instructions for the heat regulations was very unclear. The lady at the front desk figured it out for me by the second night though. Also it will be nice to have a microwave in the rooms.

Great room with lovely bathroom and balcony. Clean, nice amenities, and very friendly reception staff. Foam mattress was a little hot and a/c unit was a little noisy, but overall a good place to stay right next to the ferry. Restaurant next door was outstanding!

We love the beyond bliss suites and will stay there again for sure. We love the location and the rooms are very nice. A few issues came up in room 303 and they were: shower head leaked and would squirt a stream of water out past where the shower water was coming out. Made for a slight annoyance when you don’t want to wash your hair. Solved it with a facecloth placed over it. After it had rained overnight, in the morning there was a very loud drip coming off the roof and hitting the metal facing. Sounded like a metal works shop. Fan in the bathroom didn’t work. Bed was hard and very uncomfortable.

Pros: I liked the size, location and cleanliness of the suite. Cons: issues upon arrival, not able to retrieve key to open door to main entrance or suite. Required a couple of phone calls and a 20 minute wait for someone to come correct the issue. Someone did come to help, but unable to shower before dinner. Air conditioner was so loud i had to cover my ears with the pillow. Bath tub quite narrow and tall, a little difficult to shave legs. Fan in bathroom wasn’t working, so hot and humid when taking a bath and not great if needing to vent odour…. You know what I mean But overall, I would still likely stay there again

No front staff. Not like a regular hotel. No elevator, stairs access. If you park in the back, a lot of stairs to climb. If you are wheelchair bound, do not rent here. No amenities on site. Given instructions on how to access key prior to arrival date. No A/C in bedroom. A/C in living room only. Bathroom fan was not working.
