The Alpine House

No air conditioning in room. Room extremely small. “Loft” is laughable. It was a ladder bolted to the wall. You had to launch yourself from the wall to the bed. No where to stand or step over. Checking in was an ordeal. No one and the desk. Called the number it said to call 3 times. Ended up waiting for 15 min before the girl showed up. No elevator. Not as advertised in the least. We did not stay the night.

Absolutely loved the Alpine House!! Would stay again!!! Some signage outside would be helpful to be able to find the hotel for first-time visitors. I drove around for over an hour looking for the property and drove past it a dozen times. Finding parking was also an issue. But all and all, it was a fabulous stay! Hoping to visit again soon!

We spent two nights here and it was a perfect stay. The breakfasts were beyond fantastic, the staff was helpful walked to dinner and shopping both days. I was nervous about parking, but they had more than enough.

The complimentary breakfast was awesome as were staff and service personnel. The king bed was very comfortable. The room rug was soiled and the A/C was very noisy. There is an elevator to 2nd floor but we had misfortune of having a room on the third floor so that we had to haul suitcases up one floor by ourselves. Otherwise very good location with walkability to main square yet away from town noise. Best breakfast by far of any place we stayed.

A/C was very loud. Property is not well maintained. There is no elevator, you need to carry bags up the stairs. There is no bar or restaurant on the property as advertised. Staff was rude and had trouble speaking English. Asked the owner about the restaurant, and he told me to see if I could get reservations across the street. No reasonable reservations were available available.

Liked sauna no hot tub

Very nice and comfortable hotel in an excellent location in the town of Jackson. A very pleasant library for guests to use and a delicious breakfast was provided each morning.

A good place to stay. However, there was no elevator to go up to our room. That was inconvenient for bringing up and then down our luggage. I wish I knew that before booking and then I would have stayed elsewhere.

The Alpine House is cute and in a decent location. They have a good amount of parking and their breakfast was really great! That said, our room smelled musty, the AC barely worked, the tv was tiny, and the room was small and dull. The hotel may have been here for a long time, but for the price point you’d expect some updates.

Not the most welcoming staff. No mini fridge in room which is Not the biggest deal but would of been nice to have. We only stayed for one night, we told the front desk gentleman that we will be out early and if there was any way to have breakfast early to go, he said no which was expected but would of been nice to be offered fruit or coffee or something. No coffee in room, we left around 6am and no one in lobby to start coffee. For $500 would I would of liked more accommodation. For the sauna we were told the front desk person has to turn it on. But they are not there 24/7, I didn’t get to use it but I wouldn’t want to bother them with it. Advertise that they have a bar and restaurant, when we checked in we were told the restaurant is across the street! Close, but not the same as having the convenience of being on property. Close to town which was a plus and the property itself was nice.

Our room was clean and bright. Everything in the room worked well and we really enjoyed the fluffy towels. Our breakfast was tasty. There are nice spaces, both inside and out of the building to sit and enjoy your leisure time.

Very cute unique place to stay. Nothing like a standard hotel room. The bed wasn’t super comfortable and it was very noisy. The shower had a lot of mold in the caulking around the edges which was kinda gross. But everything else was okay. Checking in after 5pm was kinda weird. Felt bad that the girl had to drive over from another property. But she was very kind and sweet. Gave amazing restaurant recommendations. The included breakfast was amazing. Made to order. Fresh. Everything was flavorful and definitely made with love. Overall a good experience.

Clean, comfortable hotel in the center of Jackson.

For an expensive hotel, it lacks several conveniences in the room, like no closet, no microwave, no refrigerator and no ice buckets. The most disappointing thing was the poor housekeeping. Apparently our room was not swept as there were long black hairs in several places around the room and popcorn under the loft bed. Breakfast was tasty, but there is only one person, the chef, doing everything so it becomes a bit chaotic and it's obvious the chef is stressed which makes guests feel uncomfortable approaching him with any requests for seating, order forms, coffee, tea or cream when carafs are empty. Front staff is only available from 9-5 but they are friendly when approached. At night, the property was left unlocked and windows open so it did feel somewhat unsecure. They only used the key entry after hours on one of our 5 night stay.

Very noisy room. Both from neighboring rooms, and maintenance staff working late into evening and early in morning. Cleanliness inadequate in room with zero effort to clean under bed, other hard to reach places. Even a random pill was on the floor by the dresser.

The upstairs loft carpet was very dirty. It had not been vacuumed. Our room portable ac unit was broken. Maintenance could not fix the issue and instead brought a smaller portable unit which had less power to cool the loft area. Not with the price we paid per night.

This is one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed at! There is no elevator and isn’t disabled friendly. In my room I had a problem with the lock on the balcony door it took the staff 4 hours to resolve the issue The towels in the room were always damp, the hotel never provided new soap bars, I had to use the shampoo as body wash, on the balcony there were several dead insects and the housekeeping never cleaned it throughout our 3 day stay. The water pressure was very low and the pipes would make a very loud vibration when turned on, I found this very disturbing The breakfast was good and I enjoyed the fruit and granola that were present. There are many other hotels in the area that weren’t listed in Expedia and probably would have been nicer than the Alpine House and less expensive. I will never stay here again.

Too many stairs for my tastes. The rug needed some cleaning. The tub was the tallest that I've ever seen. But the breakfast and staff were EXCELLENT.

I really liked staying at Alpine House. My only two gripes were the water pressure in the shower being pretty weak, and the WiFi being fairly slow. Otherwise, it was such a cosy place to call home for two days! The people were nice, the complimentary breakfast was delicious (and Glorietta's right nearby was AMAZING), and the bed was super comfortable.

Staff were amazing and the property is in the perfect spot to walk all over town. Having free parking and breakfast were definitely perks. I would note that since it is an older building it’s quite loud and you can hear a lot from your rooms so we bought ear plugs after the first night. Additionally the beds were pretty hard and springy. All in all this was good for the price considering how expensive the rest of Jackson is.

Pillows hard. Bed worn out. Other than that, we loved it. Excellent location great breakfast good people.

This place was pretty good! It has a very cool look, even if everything’s a tad outdated. The front desk staff was friendly however they only worked until 5 or 6pm so the staff was vacant of all employees for most of the day/night. The best part was the breakfast. Great food and made the high reservation cost more worth it. The worst part was the lack of AC. I never look for AC options in American hotels because it’s always a given? This place felt like Nice in July. We walked into our room and it was 84°! The sun beat in all afternoon. I couldn’t believe there wasn’t a fan in the room. However, I messaged the hotel and they promptly replied and sent someone over to give us a tower fan. That helped but it was still unbearable during the day. We also had a small room that was different than pictured so while I planned to work from my room for a few hours a day, I couldn’t as there was no sitting chair or desk and it was unbearably hot until about 9pm. I would possibly consider staying here again in the winter but never again in the Summer. Like everything else in Jackson, so expensive for what you get. The breakfast and friendly staff made it a decent stay!

Very noisy, you can hear every door open and close, we had several construction guys staying there for the entire time and they were extremely noisy, slamming doors at all hours, leaving their TV on all night and the volume turned up. The guys cooking breakfast were really brash and rude and spoke virtually no English.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking the mountains. We very much enjoyed the separate living area. The location made it perfect for walking downtown, but the place is very quiet. The complimentary breakfast is made to order and is exceptional.

Overall good stay and good value for the money. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly! My biggest complaints are about comfort- the beds were horrendous and if you are like me and don’t sleep well already, this may not be the best place to stay. Stiff, springy mattresses and flat/lumpy pillows need updating. The temperature in the room was difficult to control as well- it was either way too hot or too cold, that could’ve been user error though. Finally, the WiFi just didn’t connect most of the time to my devices.

Loved staying here. Awesome breakfast! Rooms were great. beds a little firm for me. Make sure you check in on time as the front desk closes at 5. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get in until like 11. We had to go to a different hotel to get our key.

Staff was extremely kind, caring, and responsive.

We stayed here for five nights, but before doing so we did a lot of research about where we wanted to stay in terms of amenities and proximity to town. We also wanted a fireplace, balcony, bathtub, and breakfast included. We thought we found all of this at the Alpine House. Much to our disappointment, though, they lied on their website about the fireplace. It was non-working, and they only made an effort to turn it on for the season in October! Only after I threatened to leave a bad review. The breakfast was mediocre at best, the strawberries had rotten spots on them, the menu would explain what they offered, but then they would leave off the potatoes and for two days there was no syrup for the pancakes, and they didn’t tell us that before we ordered. The front desk woman had a terrible attitude, and was very unfriendly. We made our requests months in advance and were still not accommodated for the type of room we wanted. We were bumped out for a larger group of people staying there, and we were told we could move rooms when they checked out. However, there was no communication about when they left to move our items. The bedding was terrible, the bed had coils that moved easily and that was not comfortable, and there were flat pillows. I stay at hundreds of hotels throughout the year on various trips in various areas. I know what good quality is & good service - that’s why I say skip this one. There were several other nice places in town to stay.

While we had a few hiccups with our guest room, the staff was very nice in trying to help us resolve the issues. And while our guest room was small, the location was wonderful, the breakfast was great and the ownership took care in compensating us for the inconveniences we incurred during our stay.

Great property. Only issue is that there was no one manning the front desk. There was just a note telling us to call a number and someone would come from another hotel to help us. This was at check-in and check-out and all during our stay. There should at least be someone there during these time. But overall, the hotel is great and recommended.

We arrived at 4, the stated check in time but no one was at the desk and a sign said they were assisting another guest. After 15 min we called the posted number and were told they would be right there. 15 min later someone came and offered no apology. Breakfast cooked was sub par and the ordered items were not worth the price. Small room - Was just eh but very expensive.

Location is excellent within walking distance of shops, dining and shuttle to Teton Village. You could stay here without the need for a rental car. Property is well staffed and service was excellent. Breakfast was a steep step above the typical continental grab and go. Windows and patio doors are a bit noisy but the property is well maintained. Would definitely recommend.

Great in town location with many activities within walking distance.

The name of this property accurately captures the vibe. Very enjoyable stay with a helpful staff and a nice rustic and comfortable room. The location is quiet, but handy and easily walkable to the downtown area shopping and restaurants. Short drive to the Jackson Hole Resort area and Grand Teton. Highly recommended.

Nice location in town. Could walk about anywhere you needed to go for eating and just walking. Comfortable though a bit small in the room. If they keep the breakfast service that we had while there in Oct., I'll be back. It was a highlight for sure.

We loved staying here. The property is tucked away a block off the main thoroughfare through town, which cut down on traffic and noise. Staff were wonderful, walking us to our room when we checked in. Amazing cook-to-order breakfast came with the room, and we ate at Glorietta Trattoria across the street twice during our stay. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in Jackson.

Each day's breakfast specialty dish was was creatively planned, well-prepared, well-served . . . Or, for lighter fare, there was a cornucopia of add-ons for yoghurt, toast, berries

This place is GREAT!! Easily walkable to the Square and all the shops and restaurants. Absolutely charming seating areas inside and out. Room was roomy and comfortable. Included breakfast is over the top; made to order omelettes and the sweetest berries.
