Great place, would recommend. Stayed for one night only- The room was clean, had a nice view, the bed was comfy, towels were fluffy and the shower had a good pressure.Hot beakfast was good. Would be happy to come back again!

Lovely hotel, staff welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our room (6), was clean, modern, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a great view over the front garden and rear fields too. Breakfast was basically anything you wanted cooked, I defy anyone can eat a whole one of their omelettes, I reckon they have 6 eggs in they’re so big!!! We stayed here as we were doing the Gavin and Stacey tour; we got a cab into Barry on the tour morning (£15) and it was an amazing trip, you even end up at the hotel for a welcome break. We walked into Barry the next day (mainly to walk off the breakfast) and took the train into Cardiff, it took about an hour and was an easy and safe walk. If you’re looking for a great hotel on the outskirts of town, then I would totally recommend staying here!

The rooms are well furnished but no aircon or appropriate cooling - so if you come in winter I’m sure it will be lovely. No signage as to where to go to check in, you have to wait for a member of the bar staff who are then not very helpful. Staff overall didn’t feel very welcoming. Food in the evening was over cooked and very dry but on the plus side the breakfast was delicious. We stayed one night and wouldn’t stay again.

Property was in a beautiful location. It was spotlessly clean. Food was excellent as were the staff. Beautiful place for a nice relaxing weekend.

The water had an emergency shutoff which resulted in delays in showering and we missed out on our Sunday family outing. Staff did leave a note and bottled water which was considerate. Breakfast service was a little strange, no-one brought menus or offered tea while I waited for my partner to join me. The manager was a high point though lovely, professional and helpful. We were well informed about the water situation & it’s not their fault that occurred.
