Great place to stay. All staff really friendly. Food excellent. Most nights although the Inn is a little isolated, it was full of diners. Lovely clean and comfy room.

Out in the sticks but what a lovely place. Room was generous in size, fascilities excelent. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and attentive. Food was wonderful.

Amazing gem hidden in the country. Very comfortable rooms, relaxing, fun atmosphere in restaurants and bar with delicious food. We weren’t traveling with children, but there were amazing play areas, indoor and outdoor for children.

A lovely little out of the way hotel with plenty of parking. Staff are super friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Food was delicious, all locally sourced and even the locals were friendly. Recommend and would stay again. Would have been a 5* review but I couldn't get on the room wifi with any of my devices due to the Stampede client they used, but the staff even tried to help with this. Had to use the slower bar wifi instead.

This is a great country pub. The property is beautiful and the room and bathroom was absolutely spotless. We had a great evening meal and breakfast the following morning. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if ever we are in the area.

The Hotel is in a lovely quiet village setting. The rooms are spacious and well looked after. Good choice of food for breakfast and evening meals. There is a very large garden and a great play area for the young ones. The staff where amazing they could not do enough for us. Maisey was fantastic and Matt was so tentative and brilliant. Thanks to the whole team.

Loved it here! Beautiful, old pub. Spent 1 night, cosy room, comfy bed & pillows, good over-bath shower, lovely room, with the all imprtant kettle & teabags! Had dinner & pud (lovely) lovely pub gardens, loads of parking, right at the end of a lane, so quiet. Service was EXCELLENT! Spent all night talking to the lovely bar staff - (and they were genuinely lovely) and one of their regulars 'Aled' 😃 Finished the stay with a full cooked breakfast, again, service was excellent. If you want a nice, friendly, relaxed stay...this is the place ❤️

Lovely little pub about 6 miles from the airport. On arrival staff gave me a full breakdown of after hours entry etc and walked me to my Room. Room 7, lovely little room, cosy with front facing view. Only Issue was there was quite a bit of dust build up on coat holder, lamp etc. Apart from this room was lovely, not dirty in the slightest. Breakfast was lovely, we just booked in the night before. Did exactly what we needed it to. Staff were brilliant. Would We stay again? Yes.

Lovely pub in the Welsh countryside. Very quiet area and would be a great base for walking. Room and bed were nice thought bathroom required a little maintenance, but still good. Food in the pub itself was really nice and the service was very attentive. Appreciated the flexibility shown on a slightly early breakfast on the Sunday.

Stayed here whilst going to see Lana Del Rey in Cardiff, check in was easy. Very friendly staff, excellent service and would recommend the full breakfast in the morning, rooms very spacious and clean.

Arrived and stood at the bar whilst 5 members of staff completely ignored us, even though it was obvious we were checking in. Collecting glasses and chatting was far more important. Internet was useless, neither option worked. The room was in the eaves and with two 6' + persons, not much fun

Lovely staff great location. Faults no grab rail in the bath to use the shower was dangerous and slippery. Accident waiting to happen. After a night out in Cardiff with 30 degree temperatures came back to find the radiator next to our bed and the towel rail both on full heat. No sleep all night as we suffered in extreme heat. No discount or good will gesture offered or provided All of which ruined our experience unfortunately. Food prices very high but again couldn’t fault the staff but not the stay we anticipated.

There is a very large garden and a great play area for the young ones. The staff where amazing they could not do enough for us. Maisey was fantastic and Matt was so tentative and brilliant. Thanks to the whole team.

Loved it here! Beautiful, old pub. Spent 1 night, cosy room, comfy bed & pillows, good over-bath shower, lovely room, with the all imprtant kettle & teabags! Had dinner & pud (lovely) lovely pub gardens, loads of parking, right at the end of a lane, so quiet. Service was EXCELLENT! Spent all night talking to the lovely bar staff - (and they were genuinely lovely) and one of their regulars 'Aled' 😃 Finished the stay with a full cooked breakfast, again, service was excellent. If you want a nice, friendly, relaxed stay...this is the place ❤️

Stayed here whilst going to see Lana Del Rey in Cardiff, check in was easy. Very friendly staff, excellent service and would recommend the full breakfast in the morning, rooms very spacious and clean.

Lovely room really clean with dual showr and a bath! warm welcome on early arrival. Great breakfast. Ample parking. View fron our window.was a field with sheep grazing. Would highly reccomend if you want a quiet retreat thats close to Barry Island and Cardiff.

Lovely pub in the Welsh countryside. Very quiet area and would be a great base for walking. Room and bed were nice thought bathroom required a little maintenance, but still good. Food in the pub itself was really nice and the service was very attentive. Appreciated the flexibility shown on a slightly early breakfast on the Sunday.

This is a clean well managed property with welcoming staff and a cosy atmosphere . Only minor comments really, the pillows were not very good and despite an excellent Full Welsh breakfast a nice touch would to have some locally produced sausages rather than bog standard ones. Also some better quality bread for the toast would only add to the overall positive impression.

Lovely staff great location. Faults no grab rail in the bath to use the shower was dangerous and slippery. Accident waiting to happen. After a night out in Cardiff with 30 degree temperatures came back to find the radiator next to our bed and the towel rail both on full heat. No sleep all night as we suffered in extreme heat. No discount or good will gesture offered or provided All of which ruined our experience unfortunately. Food prices very high but again couldn’t fault the staff but not the stay we anticipated.

Amazing gem hidden in the country. Very comfortable rooms, relaxing, fun atmosphere in restaurants and bar with delicious food. We weren’t traveling with children, but there were amazing play areas, indoor and outdoor for children.

A lovely little out of the way hotel with plenty of parking. Staff are super friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Food was delicious, all locally sourced and even the locals were friendly. Recommend and would stay again. Would have been a 5* review but I couldn't get on the room wifi with any of my devices due to the Stampede client they used, but the staff even tried to help with this. Had to use the slower bar wifi instead.

Lovely hotel, staff welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our room (6), was clean, modern, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a great view over the front garden and rear fields too. Breakfast was basically anything you wanted cooked, I defy anyone can eat a whole one of their omelettes, I reckon they have 6 eggs in they’re so big!!! We stayed here as we were doing the Gavin and Stacey tour; we got a cab into Barry on the tour morning (£15) and it was an amazing trip, you even end up at the hotel for a welcome break. We walked into Barry the next day (mainly to walk off the breakfast) and took the train into Cardiff, it took about an hour and was an easy and safe walk. If you’re looking for a great hotel on the outskirts of town, then I would totally recommend staying here!

The water had an emergency shutoff which resulted in delays in showering and we missed out on our Sunday family outing. Staff did leave a note and bottled water which was considerate. Breakfast service was a little strange, no-one brought menus or offered tea while I waited for my partner to join me. The manager was a high point though lovely, professional and helpful. We were well informed about the water situation & it’s not their fault that occurred.
