Regina Mare-Adults Only Hotel

Fantastiskt litet hotell med enastående personal och service. Helt underbar utsikt men värt att tänka på är att det är många trappor och inget är tillgänglighetsanpassat.

We got unexpected upgrade to sister property of Avaton about 200m away. The suite we got was very luxurious - two balconies. Only disappointment was the original room we booked at Regina Mare had the patio plunge pool faced directly into sunset, but replacement room at Avaton was North so we were not able to sit in tub and enjoy end of day sunshine an sunset. Very nice feature was in-room breakfast that we ordered the night before. All balconies and suite was very private. Great bed and linen.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis au REGINA MARE. L'hôtesse et tout le personnel sont au petits soins et désireux de vous aider quelle que soit votre demande. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir le choix pour la suite réservée et nous avons été ravis d'être en bout d'hotel et flanc de falaise. Cela nous apporté une intimité rare avec ce système de logements en escaliers. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le spa privatif extérieur qui est un vrai si je puis dire et donc pas bruyant du tout. On arrive à se parler sans souci même depuis la petite terrasse. La vue est splendide et offre un large panorama de la Caldea. Vraiment un super hôtel!

I chose this place based on the high reviews and photos, but it was a disappointing stay. We stayed in a room with a hot tub (Deluxe Suite) on our honeymoon. I planned to spend a day relaxing at a hotel and take lots of photos of the changing scenery. The water in the hot tub was cold. Also, the lights were supposed to come on at night, but they were broken and remained dark. I complained to the staff, but they did not respond well. I looked at the photos on the hotel's website and liked it because it was beautiful at night, so I expressed my dissatisfaction. They brought their own lights and put them there for me, but their attitude and hospitality were poor. Or is it because we are Japanese/Asian? The problem of breakdowns may be unavoidable, but it's a matter of how you deal with them. I don't recommend this place. There were many better hotels. Lastly, there seemed to be an ant nest behind the air conditioner in the room, and there was a huge line of ants forming on the wall. Probably lack of maintenance.

Regina Mare was everything we hoped for while visiting Santorini. Jenny and her staff were wonderful, they were so helpful and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Jenny shared a lot of tips for visiting the island, from great restaurants, to catamaran trips to using the public bus system. We had a fabulous stay and couldn’t recommend highly enough.
