The Patio Motel - Los Angeles, LAX

Motel smelt of marijuana in the hallways & in the surrounding area. We were also smelling it while sleeping at night. The motel didn’t have a hairdryer & was unable to offer one which was a bit surprising & inconvenient for any international guests.

The guy at the front desk was kind of rude. You dont expect that coming off a 3-4 drive and getting in kind of late. The room setup was nice, but I seen a roach. My wife had brand new white socks on couple of laps around the room and they turned black. Oh it gets better, roll the sheets back and they had cigarette burns in them. Thank god we brought our own blankets. Hotels.com brought this up to the property, they refused any compensation. Oh, and better check in early if you want a park, parking is limited. I have photos, for some reason I can't upload.

Room.was clean and nice, but no ice on yhe property

Updated nicely, clean, excellent bed. And the bar on the property was convenient and fun.

There was mold above the shower, roaches throughout the bathroom. This property is good to stay for one night but not good for any longer than that. The only thing I enjoyed was the bed.

This room we stayed in smelled like smoke when we arrived. The walls and closet were dirty. There was actual dirt in the closet. The room would be nice if it was cleaner and did not have a smokers smell to it. Overall I would give it a 4/10 so just ok. Cheap but you defiantly get what you pay for here.

The place is ok Used it alot but this tine around 222 had bedbugs had about 7 bites on my arm hopefully they fix that

My room was upstairs and was filled with cigarette smoke from the other rooms both days. Bedding was thin so if air conditioner is left on to try and clear the smoke you freeze to death. Clothes I had in the room smelled of cigarettes. I guess you get what you pay for pricing was good

Plain dirty! As you're pulling up to the place, you realize that you made a horrible mistake booking this place. Hallways are beyond dirty, with stains all over. The smell was just nasty! Smell of cigaweed everywhere. Room 204 wasn't that bad, but the sheet had two holes in it. To sum up my thought of the place in one word.. Ghettofabulous!!

Rooms are comfortable and have a lot of space

Nice people the rooms are clean but the heater wasn’t working or the refrigerator. They sent someone for repairs but he said the thermostat was bad.

We didn’t like the King bed becuz it’s hard mattress and hurt our back. We didn’t comfortable to sleep on it. It’s awful.

Front desk is quick and consistent. Good to note when you’re booking through Expedia 1-2 hours beforehand. Rooms are spacious and great amenities. Enjoyed my stay.

This was a last minute one night stay on a solo trip to the area. I am from out of state and this was the only place with vacancy. The rooms are a little outdated but comfortable. The other guests in the motel were extremely noisy and it is also noisy outside.

The room I had - 207 - was clean and presentable. However, the TV didn’t work - I kept getting a message that there was no internet connection and could not navigate to any link that let me try to achieve a WiFi connection. The smoke detector was not operable - wires were dangling and it obviously was not connected. It would have been helpful to have a softer chair to sit in, versus the hard back chair provided. On the positive side, cafés were within walking distance - a mile or so which for me was easy. And, I enjoyed walking the nearby neighborhoods.

Rooms are ok .. my shower got water everywhere because the curtain wasn't long enough

they demand a $20 CASH deposit to get the key card. Not mentioned at booking time, and many people do not carry cash, especially in major cities. Front desk staff is an absolute jerk. Avoid at all costs

The front desk was rude

My stay was ok until i asked could i extended my stay and was told i couldn't without any explanation i believe it was because i had alot of things with me i only stayed pretty much 10 hours didn't ch3ck in until maybe 11:40 pm lastnite and i think check out should be around noon

Do not stay here. I went there because the reviews for the cleanliness and the fact that the rooms were newly remodeled. I have autism and PTSD and I have a service dog and the man at the front desk, who I believe was the owner tried to charge me $200 for a deposit for my service animal which is illegal. So, I had to call the cops because he was refusing to give me the room without paying the $200 and I was not going somewhere else because I already paid almost $200 for 2 days. On top of that, he was super rude about all of it and the experience ruined my whole vibe. I was going there specifically to relax and do nothing. If I had time to get the refund and go somewhere else instead of staying there I would have. The room was very clean. The towels were not and they had stains and somebody else's hair stuck in them. The hallway carpets need changed because they were dirty and detracted from the feel of having remodeled rooms. The bathtub was super comfortable. I got the room because I have had six surgeries and I needed to relax and decompress. Overall, I felt discriminated against and the owner of a motel should have an education when it comes to people with disabilities if you are going to own any business. I tried to educate him on the laws and what you can and cannot ask about a service animal and he dismissed me. I just hope when people that own businesses are rude like this they get their karma.

It was surprisingly quiet being on a Main Street. Other than a night I heard what appeared to be gunshots, it was very comfortable

I went September 2024. It was a perfect location. It was about 20 to 30 minutes from the beach 45 with traffic. And 30 minutes from downtown LA. About 45 with traffic as well lol. It was a perfect location, very clean area. The owners were super cool. And very simple check-in simple check out, definitely will be coming back

Smelt like cigarettes when I walked in though. I give 4/5 stars only because the person in the room next to me pulled a strap on my friend for being to loud.
