A-1 Budget Motel

This was the nicest budget motel I have stayed at. Beds in separate rooms, desk with chair, full size fridge, full size microwave, kitchen sinks in the room. Covered parking outside. The only thing that I would change is to have somewhere to put the soap and shampoo stuff in the shower.

Great price for a clean room to stay in. This has to be the best value in Klamath Falls. They have plenty of parking for vehicles towing trailers. There's a mini mart next door. And across the street is a travel center with the subway restaurant. I was looking for a good basic room and you can't beat the price

Property was run down. Long walk for dog. No ice.

Loved the full covered parking (especially since it was snowing).

You have to go to the office for ice. Then I was told no ice because someone had an emergency and took all the ice. I asked how long before I could get more and they said they didn’t know and directed me to the truck stop across a 4 lane hwy to go get ice there

Nothing to complain about ,covered parking nice clean rooms ,well kept, you can tell the owners take pride in this place....truly 5 stars all the way.

The lady at the front desk was friendly. We had a covered parking area right outside our room. Our car was out of the heat.

The rooms are spic and span. My husband said to tell the lady at the front desk but there was no one there when we checked out. Just a drop box for key cards and a couple of selections of cold cereal and coffee.

I stayed there twice. The first time was really good. The room was clean. The second time the room was dirty. The waste paper baskets were full, and the bedding was dirty.

I was pleasantly surprised! It was very clean and the beds were actually comfortable. Clean and spacious, if you wsnt a good,safe place to sleep, try this place, no carpet which is a huge plus! No gross carpet! Yuck! The name will fool you when it says budget. Its actually great!

Sheets were not clean. Had to shake them out since it was later when we got in. Bathroom had been very clearly used before we got in. It was not clean at all.

Place was a mess. Nothing was clean. It’s old and run down. I especially didn’t like the cleanliness. I actually thought about leaving and staying in my vehicle it was that bad. At least clean sheet and pillowcases would’ve been nice. I slept in my clothes. It was a roof over my head. That’s about it

Stayed here bc it was cheap but the shower curtain smelled like mildew bc it was old, hair, dead bugs and a lot of dust on the floor close to the walls and in the bathroom. The paint in the bathroom shower was peeling, I would not stay here again. They need to upgrade their rooms.

Stay one night and in all honesty for the price that it cost for our stay, the room exceeded expectations. The only thing that I wish was not an issue was the slight odor of mildew mustiness was unpleasant, but we eliminated that with air fresheners and what not not a big fan of the super thin 1970s Comforter complete with floral pattern and brown in color but like I said well worth the $63 or whatever it cost for one night.

Beautifully renovated rooms have blackout curtains, well-cooling air conditioning, very spacious room with a fridge and a breakfast table. Our queen beds were very comfortable. A great place for launching a day trip to Crater Lake, It is close to Highway 97. I use silicon earplugs whenever I sleep away from home, so I got a perfect night's sleep here.

The room and the bathroom and the bedding was clean. But the bed pillows were too fat to be able to get any sleep. Also, the room could not be sufficiently darkened to be able to get a good night's sleep. The curtain was too small to block out all the light. It needs to be an extra wide, extra tall curtain that goes all the way up to the ceiling to block out the light around the edges. We should have brought our own pillows, plus some large cardboard to cover the window that faced the brightly lit parking lot, in order to get a good night's sleep. For a "budget" motel, it wasn't all that cheap of a price, especially considering that the room was not conducive to sleep.

The room had been recently renovated, and was clean. It's set right off the highway and traffic noise could be heard all night. Also, the bed frames are metal and make a horrible sound every time anyone rolls over, so if you need quiet this might not be the place for you.

The room itself was very nice; comfortable bed, newly installed shower stall, plenty of room. My only dings to the property is that it's right on the main road in and out of town, so the traffic noise is pretty significant. Also, the outside lighting bleeds into the room pretty brightly, so the room is not dark at all during the night.

I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our room. I was a little worried about what the place would be like but it exceeded my expectations. Room was very clean, spacious, and is even fitted out with an almost full size fridge.

clean and comfortable. looks like a relatively new remodel, but the space available to use the bathroom sink is way too small. you are squished between the shower wall and the counter....

Great service

I've stayed here many times and this time was fine. Except, check-in, there was NO ONE there to check people in who could speak or understand english. There was a couple in front of me trying to rent a room for the night and it probably took a 1/2 hour. They would have gone across the hi-way to a different motel if they could have parked their truck and trailer there, but there was no room. I'm sorry, but that's not a way to operate a motel. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you.

I had stayed here previously with no problems. This time was different. I checked in and left right away to do some errands. When I came back, the toilet paper on the roll had been used up (wasn't like that when I left), the AC had been turned off (AC was on when I left), and there was a strong smell of body odor in my bathroom. This made me uncomfortable and feeling like someone was accessing my space when I was away. I then wished I had a door jam to protect myself inside this room when I would be sleeping and someone associated with the motel could just enter at any moment. On the positive side, I did get through the night unscathed. The bed was comfortable but hotel staff not trustworthy IMO. I checked out early and made the mistake of leaving behind my phone charger. I realized this and followed up with a phone call before the official check-out time. I then went back to the motel and they told me there had been no charger left in the room. I know this was NOT true. Retraced my steps fully and the thing is gone. Last place I saw it was plugged in the wall at this very motel. I am convinced motel staff took my adaptive charger. It wasn't a ton of money - but very inconvenient to suddenly be out of a phone charger when travelling and doing a bunch of projects in town. I have been a return customer previously but don't think I will be anymore. I regret that I left a cash tip in advance for the dishonest (cleaning?) staff.

The staff (receptionist) was very rude and unprofessional.

The room was awesome, they really hooked us up. They did not service the room at all. Three night stay and no room service. Dirty towels were piling up in the bathroom. I even asked for room service and all they did was give us more towels.

Very easy check in

Check in girl was horrible. Sign in lobby said ‘back at 4’ I waited until 4:30. I called 4x. She finally opened. Took 20min to check in one lady. Took 10min to check me in. Never apologized for lateness. Locked door after me and sat in her car. Then took off. Room was fresh. Furniture outdated. Good pressure in shower.

The manager there is Tina she's outstanding very very upbeat and very more than willing over the top to please her customers she even had her husband come out for no reason to open the motel door to my room and she said it's just to make you feel more welcome I thought wow you don't get that at Motel 6 that's for sure

Clean, pleasant, too much traffic noise.

It is very conveniently located by HWY 97 North just at the entry of Klamath Falls, room is nice and parking in front of the room, price is affordable, staff is kind.

The owners have done an excellent job upgrading the property. The rooms have new beds, furniture, fixtures, and come with a microwave and minifridge. The walls, floors, bathrooms and doors have been redone and are kept very clean. And the beds are really comfortable. Parking is easy in front of your room, and the carports over the parking spots are a great idea for guarding against rain and snow. Easy access to US-97 as well, with the large Pilot gasoline station conveniently across the road having some of the lowest prices in town. This place is a hidden gem!

this motel is out of town a bit. there are two truck stops across the way. also close is a mcdonalds and burger king. and a great pizza place. the room is small but very clean. stand up shower. frig and microwave is a huge plus. its a small continetal bfast. ceral/honeybuns. Coffee is pretty good. check in is easy. you are on highway 97, but the road noise is amazingly not loud at all. PS the queen beds are amazing

Don't let the outside fool you. The staff are super friendly, the room was deceptively large and clean. Convenient location off the main road and near gas stations.

It is a nice place to sleep, the bed was nice. There was not much for continental breakfast.

Very clean. Remodeled room and bath. Bed comfortable. Great shower and bath amenities. Just a fast one night stay headed north pulling cargo trailer. Ample parking out front of room. Well lit and secure. Highly recommend for price and comfort. Breakfast is very basic but appreciated.

Basic motel on busy highway. Despite the close proximity to hwy, noise was not a problem for me or my spouse. Good stay for the cost. Older building but everything in good repair and clean. Appreciate that it had mini fridge and microwave! That was very important to me. Advertised coffee/breakfast is minimal to say the least. My husband got coffee last time we stayed and it was cold. He didn’t even pursue it this time. Yes, this was our second stay. We have family that we visit close by. We’ll stay again.

Small, simple and clean motel. Staff was excellent. Next to a highway, so had some road noise, but not too bad at night. No coffee maker in room, and the coffee in the office was almost water. They need to add way more coffee grounds. Breakfast was very minimal. Honey buns and two cereal options. That was ok for us, but the coffee should be better.

Well laid out room. Very comfortable king size bed. When you walk in, there's a refreshing, light scent throughout the room. Even the towels smell fresh and clean. The shower is a walk-in and the shower head is high enough for a taller person. No coffee maker in the room but a fridge and microwave were. No carpets throughout room, which I'm good with as we have a small dog. They even have clips on the curtains so you can make sure the room stays dark. Breakfast, from 6:30-9:30am, is cereal or little honey buns, coffee (no lids for cups), whole milk and juice in the fridge, powdered creamer and sugar or sweet'n low available, and black tea packets. Only downside is, during the day, there's a lot of traffic. For my husband, this was a bit of an issue but as night fell, traffic slowed down and his noise machine covered the rest. They were having a plumber work in one of the rooms so the water was off when we got there and unfortunately, we were not told of this upon check in. We went out to grab something to eat and by the time we got back, the water was back on.

This was the third hotel of 6 we stayed at on our 10 day road trip. The check in was easy, the room was small, but very clean, the bathroom was clean with average towels and amenities. The water pressure was good. There was a good TV selection. Despite the outward appearance, the rooms have been recently renovated and are in very good shape. Don't let the outward appearance fool you. It was on the highway, so there was some road noise, but it was muffled and not enough to keep me from sleeping. There are two other name brand hotels across the street that must have the same road influence, so it can't be that bad. The breakfast was just dried cereal and some bagged pastries. The coffee was in a hot-pot and was lukewarm. Don't count on the breakfast. Overall, this was a good hotel and I would recommend it if your looking for a no frills economy place to sleep.

An OK place but with a "thin" breakfast, horrible coffee (not that unusual in the US where good coffee is rare), but a good-size separate kitchen in the room for those who would use that.

Parking lot smells like public restroom, weed & pee. Don’t get fooled, there are no breakfasts.Only Coffee, milk, orange juice, cereals. Nothing else. And all was the cheapest of cheapest. Not even bagels or toast.
