Excellent stay. Older facility but well kept up. We loved the pool and the easy access to the boardwalk. The staff was also very friendly. PS…. The shower was hot!!😁😁😁😁 Such a plus!!

The beds were comfortable a coffee make or a kettle to warm up water for coffee or tea would’ve been great but they only had microwave and a tv (we made it work for our coffee) other than that it was a great stay motel was right in front of the beach the pool was deep (3ft-8ft) the parking was good to we were actual able to leave our car there after checking out until 2:00 to do our last walk on the border

Staff was on hand and could be seen cleaning and maintaining the property throughout the day. Staff and front desk were very helpful pointing out great restaurants and points of interest. Pool was cleaned each morning. (I had a poolside room.) rooms were clean. Air conditioner cooled the room well. All around great experience. Located in the center of the Boardwalk.

It's not fancy, but the room was large and clean, and parking is included and adequate. The pool was nice, and the location is great-- right on the boardwalk. There was a fridge and microwave in the room.

The pool was clean and wonderful. The ac was super cold but what sold it for me was the owner. Nicest lady I ever met. Thanks Cristina

Always love this place, customer service is amazing, always clean, great location, nothing fancy but if u enjoy somewhere to sleep, shower and dip in the pool and not have to worry about driving to the boardwalk it is the best place to stay!

Property very outdated. Clean for it to be so outdated. Mattresses very worn. Sheets were itchy. Walls are very thin. The owner and Staff are very friendly. Parking veryyyyy limited and tight. Get discounts on pizza. Property is on boardwalk so it is excepted to have noise.

Property was clean and staff is very friendly also allowed us to park 2 vehicles instead of just one. And best its right on the boardwalk so its excellent for the price

Pool and steps from the beach

Property had easy access to boardwalk, and was safe at night. Stay was great. Pool was clean. Rooms were clean, can’t help sand being everywhere. Ac units could use an update. Our room was cold but later on at night ac would blow warm air. Would stay again if we were to come back.

Check in was easy , staff were friendly , and we had acres to ice and coffee 24/7. however I did encounter a roach in the bathroom which is a big deal for me . I expected this facility to be clean and free of rodents and insects and that honestly dampened my entire experience after seeing that.

It was mostly clean but the bathroom could use a scrub. Also hair was wrapped around chair legs and stuck on shower tiles. The free coffee is at the front desk. Not enough electrical outlets for charging but its an old hotel so its understandable. I'd stay there again, as a secondary choice. Staff was nice.

Owner was very friendly! Rooms were clean and spacious. Cleaning staff was on top of it. Great location and looking forward to staying again next year.

Very disappointed in this property and will never stay here again. Check in is at 4 and when we got there at 4 our room was still not ready. We had to wait another 30 minutes until we were able to get into our room and weren't offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. Then once we got to the room it was very clear the floor wasnt vacuumed or mopped at all! The floor was covered in sand and dirt and under the bed hasn't been cleaned in a LONG time. The bathroom was dirty and missing ceiling panels which made it extremely hot in the bathroom and the shower had absolutely no water pressure at all. For a room that cost over $400 we were extremely disappointed and next time will pay the extra $100 to stay at a better hotel.

I liked the location of the hotel but our family all had black feet from walking on the floor in our room. The staff was friendly and kind, but the floors in the rooms definitely needed a good scrubbing.

Everything was clean and kept up with nicely. Room service offered daily.

Proximity to beach was great. Noise from bar nearby was terrible from ocean view room. Like being in a nightclub till 2am. Killed a roach one morning. Wore my shoes 24/7 because floor was dirty. Bird poop on balcony. Limited amenities. No hair dryer, no in room coffee. Toiletries super cheap, in dispenser like a public restroom. Pool was fine and they let us check in early. Way overpriced for what is was!!!

Bed bugs in room 112. I left the front desk know. I’m still waiting to hear from them on a refund. They are waiting to hear from the bug people. My arm is a mess with bites. Overall we’ve stayed hear numerous times with no issues. Hoping the make it right.

Pro- location is excellent. Sheets seemed clean Con- room was dirty. Baseboards were disgusting. Curtain was ripped, microwave actually had a hole in it and didn’t work. Water was a planned fix so turned off for an hour or so one morning with no notice given. Took 2 visits to the office to get tv working. Would never stay again.

The location is perfect, if you like being in the middle of everything. If you get a room facing the ocean, the view is great but don't expect peace and quiet as the boardwalk is lively well past midnight. The staff was extremely friendly. This had everything we wanted

Great location on the boardwalk conveniently located close to all the action. The businesses under the hotel all offer a discount if you show them the room key, a candy shop, pizza shop, a food shop that stays open late into the night. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. I was there with my 10yr old daughter for our annual dad/daughter end of summer trip. The lady behind the desk took the time to seaech for specific coupons for her and I to use. We will definitely stay here again

Rooms are a little outdated but clean and comfortable. Having the balcony to sit on to people watch was great.

staff was very friendly and helpful. easy access to the boardwalk. the only down fall was the internet, my son took his handheld game that requires internet and couldnt play it unless he was sitting by the pool.

I'll be frank, based on previous reviews. I thought moving our room furthest away from Guidos would be sufficient but it is LOUD. I ended up turning on a sound cancelling app just to help the kids sleep. Lots of partiers, drunks up until 3am. Which is fine if you plan to stay out or are up that late. So not a good place for families with young kids. Staff are friendly but place could use lots of updating. Walls had bubbling which looked questionable. We were there for the beach view.

I must admit I was skeptical when I booked this establishment because I have been to Ocean City many times and never looked at this place as somewhere I could stay. Either because of affordability or because of how I perceived it to look. I was wrong. This establishment was affordable AND while "mature" you can see that they are upgrading from inside out. Obviously this place needs nothing because the LOCATION is PERFECT. Add the friendliness of the staff, and their willingness to make your stay the best in OC only adds to the overall experience. Nothing is perfect, and yes the electrical outlets could be upgraded. But think about it, I literally commented on the outlets as a "negative". That was my only concern charging my 8 devices. Maybe I didn't need all 8. And I didn't because again LOCATION and service. You have access to the boardwalk in its grandest! If you want to be in the midst of action this is it. My whole family can't wait to go back! I can't wait to take advantage of the returning customer discount, making it only more affordable It was a great family outing for sure.

Staff was very friendly. The view was exceptional. We were oceanfront with a balcony. The hotel needs updating for sure. We had a king sized bed and the mattress was soft but the bed or frame was lopsided.ended up with a pinched nerve after three nights. Our room was also right above a cantina and on the boardwalk. Weekend noise is crazy. During the week it was quiet by 11 pm. If you don’t mind the outdated makeup of the motel this is a great place for convenience. Everything is right there.

The front desk tried to charge again upon check in. Then they corrected it. After check in, they charge again. Thank god, we checked our credit card again. We saw it they did again, we complained to them, they corrected it again. Be careful.

We chose the Rideau because of its location, as my husband has mobility issues. They were able to provide us with a wheelchair for his use for the duration of our stay at no charge. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. The only downfall was while housekeeping provided us with new towels everyday our bed was never made after check in. I’m sure this was just an oversight as they were great in every other aspect. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

STAYYYY AWAY!!! Front desk and Location = perfect; hence the one star. The rooms are absolutely not clean. The sheets in my room were visibly dirty from a prior guest, there was hair all through the sheets. I had to call the front desk from my cellphone since the room phone doesn’t connect to the front desk like at normal hotels. I was given clean sheets and had to make the bed over myself. The bathroom was disgusting, old urine and hair all over the bathroom and in the towels(attached photos), The shower had hair in it, the shower curtain had blood stains on it and there was a sour mop smell in the bathroom. Expedia made several attempts to have my room changed however, management refused to change the room, refused to clean the room and refused any form of compensation despite them providing me with a dirty room. I was will to take a refund and find a new hotel. Customer service is not a priority, it’s all about the money clearly. The day before we left(after we had to clean our own room) we had the do not disturb sign on the door and housekeeping came to the room knocking, so we sat in there watching TV, minding our business and they proceeded to come in the room despite the sign being on the door. Definitely don’t want to leave anything valuable in the room. For what you pay here please go to another hotel, even if it’s up the beach a bit. This dirty motel is not worth the hassle at all. It can really ruin a good time.

This had to be one of the best customer service oriented places I have ever stayed at. The owner was very helpful and prompt with any and all issues, and an overall very personable individual. We had an issue our first night with the bar under the hotel partying with loud music until 2am and she got them to stop. That was a godsend with a 4 year old in tow. She even moved us up to the second floor and further away from the noise which was a huge help. My only real “issues” of you can call them that, was that the beds in neither room were not particularly comfortable and were quite noisy, and the water pressure. Other than that great experience and we’ll be back.

Giving 1 star due to location is close to the boardwalk and other kids rides. This one is an old property. Key entry so you have to make sure not to lose it. Both shower tub and sinks were dirty. Main problem was sink drainage was clogged. We could not use the sink and that was the most inconvenience for a room cost us close to $300 a night. I talked to the front desk about sink issue three times. Once over the phone and twice in person. All I got was "SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE SIR". I was hoping they send someone to fix it or give us a different room or may be something else that would help. That was not the case. Imagine living in this situaion with two young kids. I'd never rent this place.

Great location on the boardwalk

The proximity to the beach and the fireworks was AMAZING. Front desk staff was welcoming. The ice machine worked, very important. The floor of the room was gritty, that was a little uncomfortable. Chairs on the balcony could use some attention. I would stay there again.

The location is the best part of this property is right off the boardwalk.

Great location, access directly to the boardwalk. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would not suggest if you enjoy quiet nights as there is a bar on the boardwalk below and you can hear the music in your room. The floors needed additional cleaning, they were dirty.

I wanted a place on the boardwalk to meet with family who were staying nearby in a condo. It was a great location - right on the boardwalk, close and easy! I love that the rooms were labeled with their location. I got a room that wasn’t facing the boardwalk or pool and it was quiet.

I stay here 5 or 6 times a year. It's in a perfect spot near everything on the boardwalk and the owner is super friendly and awesome. The pool is great and the Mexican restaurant downstairs it very good.

It was very convenient for my kids and I to be close to the boardwalk. We were able to walk easily to the boardwalk and get things to eat and drink. We enjoyed being able to view the beautiful beach front and watch the other activities on the boardwalk right from our hotel balcony. The room is convenient for a two to three day stay. The pool was enjoyable as well. The staff members were friendly and helpful.

There was dust on phone and tops of stands there was sand or dirt under beds,also you need a few amenities like coffee in your lobby

This hotel is a perfect beachfront spot. Great service at the desk (Happy Birthday to the sweet Nicole and the General Manager was working at the desk one day and was equally awesome), the Premium Oceanfront room I booked was exactly as advertised (I'm often worried about the bait and switch where the online photos are one thing but reality is another lol) and there was no extra charge for parking ($20 per day for now than once car FYI). Private balcony that faces the beach, and within 10 minutes on foot, you can hit either good food, the ocean, arcades, souvenir shopping, and several bars. The pool was amazing and the housekeeping staff does a wonderful job. Worth every penny!

Great view of ocean, staff very friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms little outdated but clean. Needed more outlets. Disappointed that office was not open earlier to be able to get a cup of coffee. Disruptive neighboring room. Which was no smoking and you could smell smoke in our room from next door. More then just cigarettes or cigars. Also, they were very noisy late night. Neighbors were no fault of motel. Just in considerate guest that were drunk most of time and couldn't follow rules.
