Very handy to shops and fast food outlets. Very small rooms especially the bathroom but it was only myself so didnt matter too much (although i did ask for walk-in shower and there was a 2-3inch step down into the shower). Parking is very cramped and one night there was a caravan parked in the spot to drive thru to the other side of the parking area plus there was a truck taking up double spots. Bedside lamps didnt work. No wifi password. Didnt encounter any staff at all and I think they only cleaned my room once in the 5 days I was there.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this property! While it was a little dated it was very clean and comfy. We particularly picked this motel for dog friendly as we needed to bring our 2 border collies with us this time. There were approximately 12 dogs staying with owners tis particular weekend as the Royal Canberra Dog Show was on. The feedback we got from talking to the dog owners was how great this place was and we couldn't agree more. Both we and our 2 dogs were very comfy here, beds were pretty good and the shower was probably the best that I have anywhere including 5 star. The owners took great pride in providing a great service and I would not hesitate to book here again. Thank you very much for a very positive stay, you deserve a great review

Was a little apprehensive about booking a little motor inn at Queanbeyan, but boy was I surprised! The check in process was that seamless that I didn’t even have to go to reception, I simply received a room code and room number via text. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the shower was warm and constant, what more can one ask for!

The manager when I complained about my first room did not hesitate to offer me another room. Said they had new cleaning staff. The issue for me is the room I was given smelled of some kind of doedoriser which was so strong. This room was acceptably clean however there were dust bunnies in the corners of the ceiling, dust on the headboard of the bed, the fridge needed defrosting desperately, there was mould in the shower in multiple places even on the grout on walls of the shower, mirrors had water marks or spray marks on them in the corners and the hand basin leaked water everytime you turned on the tap. It isnt an expensive motel however could have been a good value and a pleasant stay with a little attention to detail and maintenance. It has a possibility of much better ratings than it received from me on this occasion. Also noted areas within motel grounds were collecting stuff so looked untidy. The pluses are comfortable bed, quiet aircon and nice dark room.

When we got there i went to use the toilet and the seat slid off as it wasnt even attatched and ive hurt my arm badly as i had to try to stop myself from falling but it didnt help, the dishes were filthy so we had to purchase takeaway as we were a bit worried we were going to get sick, the stove top had fat and grease all over it, dried food on the dining table, totally flat batteries in the tv remote, and no spa like the photos showed, said it had wifi but it didnt, and said it had a phone to use to call reception but it didnt

Our room was very clean and had crockery, cutlery provided for two. Also there was a toaster, kettle and a toaster provided. We had an automatic checkin just accessing our room with a code so never had to go to reception. The room was dated and in need of Reno but as I say it was very clean. There was a Thai restaurant on site and my meal was excellent. If you want to dinner at other eateries, they were only a 2 min walk away. Thanks

These guys need to understand that they are a hospitality venue. “Is a ground floor room available?” .. “no, that’s all I’ve got” … a room Theo obviously churn for single night stays, crappy mattress, tired linen, blinds hanging off that wouldn’t close. I take it or leave it attitude. I claimed to have a restaurant but it was closed. I had to press the bell three times for the attendant to arrive if you are okay for tired DOS house this is the motel for you.

Room was a good size as was the bathroom and the shower was great. However the stay was let down by the bed which was too soft and clearly past it's best. On the upside though, having access to the on-site Thai restaurant was a bonus.

I really appreciate the automatic check in, which takes the pressure off me to arrive by a certain time in order to not keep staff waiting. The keyless doors are great, i don't have to worry about locking myself out of my room.

I am not sure what to write about this property really. I know we were a little disappointed after having read previous reviews. The room certainly didn’t look like the picture of the one I booked. We did receive a warm welcome. Parking was easy, wifi good, bed comfortable and water hot. It was good to have a little table with chairs, microwave and a toaster so, in that respect, the hotel was fine. Probably fine for the price. I think it is just a little tired and needs a bit of TLC. Sadly we had a terrible experience on our first night which left us wondering where the heck we had booked. Around 11.30 p.m. there was a dreadful racket from another room above us (we think). Use of disgusting language, ranting and raving, yelling about drugs, crying until around 1 a.m. It got so bad we decided to call the hotel’s after hours number in the compendium. It was the wrong number listed! Thank goodness the person either passed out or fell asleep and we could finally get some rest. I know this is not the property’s fault. It is their responsibility, however, to have the correct contact phone number listed. Reception was closed in the morning so we reported the incident later in the afternoon. The receptionist was VERY apologetic and gave us the correct mobile to ring if it happened again. Thank goodness it didn’t on our second night. We probably wouldn’t stay again but as a cheaper place to stop it would be okay for a night or two.

I had a terrible stay. When I arrived, I had paid for my stay through Expedia but was asked to pay again. I paid reluctantly since I had already paid for the accomodation. I managed to contact Expedia and they spoke to the property. The lady that was doing the refund had no idea how to actually do a refund and she left with my visa card to do the refund. I do not understand whether Expedia and the motel have not worked together before. It was not a good start to the stay. I was assigned Room 12 and it was not locking and then I was moved to Room 28 upstairs. The lady actually mentioned before she moved me that this was the third time the door in Room 12 had not locked, so I wondered why I was put in that room in the first place. After moving to Room 28, the lady I think for reasons not known to me but only known to herself forgot she moved me. I decided to sleep in on the Wednesday during my stay because I had not slept properly on my flightfrom Perth and had been running around all day on the Tuesday. Around 10am on Wednesday morning, there was a loud knock on the door and the door was suddenly opened. If it wasn't for the internal latch the door would have been opened. The same lady, I am assuming, says 'Who is in there? You have not paid for this room'. I then reminded her that she had moved me from the room downstairs that wasn't locking. She then apologized. I don't know if they do not have a record 😕 of when they move guests. The room I was moved to was dirty.

I had a terrible stay. When I arrived, I had paid for my stay through Expedia but was asked to pay again. I paid reluctantly since I had already paid for the accomodation. I managed to contact Expedia and they spoke to the property. The lady that was doing the refund had no idea how to actually do a refund and she left with my visa card to do the refund. I do not understand whether Expedia and the motel have not worked together before. It was not a good start to the stay. I was assigned Room 12 and it was not locking and then I was moved to Room 28 upstairs. The lady actually mentioned before she moved me that this was the third time the door in Room 12 had not locked, so I wondered why I was put in that room in the first place. After moving to Room 28, the lady I think for reasons not known to me but only known to herself forgot she moved me. Requested a bottom floor room due to injury over the phone prior to booking, confirmed we could have one then when we arrived we were upstairs. Towels and duvet stunk of stale cigarettes or marijuana. Had to request a change the next day due to late check-in. Towels and duvet replaced but we were then charged additional fees that were never advised at time of booking or checkin. Turns out there are additional pet fees that weren’t included in the original booking price. No notice given for the extra money being withdrawn from our account. Still not sure how they took the money! When I requested an explanation they just said there are additional fees for pets. I said I was never informed of that and they just said it’s in the fine print on the booking websites. Additional pet fees were only charged after the room was required to be recleaned due to the terrible smell. The smell was blamed on the previous occupants of the room however the cleaner was observed smoking right outside the rooms so doubtful that it’s just the clientele’s fault. Will seek alternate accomodation when next in this area.

Great and good value. Very handy position and easy walk to river and into town shops club and eateries. Room was clean and comfortable. Bed comfy. This motel is also dog friendly. Special mention to staff member Lisa. No complaints from us.

It suited me perfectly. I had a small dog with me. Plenty of places to walk with her. Thai restaurant on the premises and close to other takeaway food sites. There was a microwave, toaster, kettle and small fridge. Split system air conditioner was good. Good shower. Staff friendly and helpful. Closeness to Canberra was good.

Our room was very clean and had crockery, cutlery provided for two. Also there was a toaster, kettle and a toaster provided. We had an automatic checkin just accessing our room with a code so never had to go to reception. The room was dated and in need of Reno but as I say it was very clean. There was a Thai restaurant on site and my meal was excellent. If you want to dinner at other eateries, they were only a 2 min walk away. Thanks

Room was a good size as was the bathroom and the shower was great. However the stay was let down by the bed which was too soft and clearly past it's best. On the upside though, having access to the on-site Thai restaurant was a bonus.

Tara went out of her way to ensure our stay was more than comfortable. We had an extra traveller at short notice and we received a room upgrade straight away. Excellent location. Close to pretty much everything including the ADFA where our son was representing the RAAF.

I honestly can’t understand why this place has such a high rating. The positive reviews were one of the reasons we chose to stay here, so I feel it’s important to share our actual experience. First, we were given a room with a light bulb that wasn’t working, which was fixed after I mentioned. However, the bed was also broken — and the staff were already aware of it. When my partner went to inform the situation, rather than simply offering us another room, the staff member tried to find a way for us to stay in the room with the broken bed. She actually suggested putting bricks underneath the bed or putting the mattress directly on the floor. At that point, I honestly thought she was joking. It felt as though we were being asked to accept a broken bed as a solution, rather than being treated like paying guests. Only after my partner specifically suggested changing rooms did she give us another room. Unfortunately, the second room had clearly just been used by someone else. The bed had obviously been slept in and the room had not been cleaned. When I went back to complain, the way the staff member spoke made it very clear that she seemed to be having a “bad day” because she had to deal with us and our complaints, as though our complaints were unreasonable or we were somehow inconveniencing her.
