Located right inside the 3rd century Dioclesian Palace, this quaint, historic and charming tiny hotel was a fun place to stay during our visit to Split, Croatia. The staff were most accommodating, and although elevators are not allowed in this UNESCO location, there was always help available if needed.

The Hotel is amazing well prepared. The cleanliness is at the top. The friendly staff is another valuable asset. We strongly recommend this Hotel. However a few tips. As most of the Hotel in old city is not so easy to reach them, even with Google maps, it will take some minutes, you must be patient. Also as it is located in the old city there no elevators and stairs are the only way to have access to the rooms. But the two points below are for all Hotels in the Old City.

Beautiful hotel directly located in the Old City. You can not dirve direct to the hotel as cars are not allowed in the Old City. However, a quick call to the hotel and they make all of the parking arrangements or will pick up from a drop off - very accommodating. The hotel is very boutique style and very charming. Highly recommend!

3rd century building . Loved it !!in the heart of the palace . Easy to get to . Staff was so nice and responsive . Recommend highly and would stay there again . Two buildings , one with only three rooms. The annex is not far away . We stayed in the original but I think both are lovely .

Stayed one night. Very happy with our choice. Good combination of modern in an old building. Good breakfast choice, quiet central location, friendly staff. Hotel is split across two sites - we went to the site on the reservation address and were then escorted the few mins to the other location - would have been handy if we had been advised in advance of the alternative location to save carrying heavy bags. Overall very good.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of old town. There are only three rooms in this property, we were on the third floor and there was no elevator, so be aware if you have problems with stairs. The breakfast was outstanding! A great variety of fruits, yogurt, granola, bread, cheese, meats. The croissants were as good as you get in Paris! Then there is a menu you can order from for breakfast. Coffee and cookies and muffins are available 24 hours. The rooms were lovely, very comfortable bed.

This is a very small hotel. The dining area is tiny. Stair case (no elevator) is steep. There was no one there when we arrived and we had to hike to another hotel in order to get someone to check us in. The exterior shown and the dining room in the ads are misleading.

The staff was excellent in every way and they communicated with us online before and during our trip there. They were attentive, helpful and friendly. Everyone was happy to speak English which was very courteous. The rooms are clean and updated but maintain a unique authentic feel with their surroundings within the ancient palace. There are stairs, as to be expected. Fewer suitcases is always an advantage.

We had a wonderful two night stay at Villa Split heritage hotel. The hotel is in a great location. The room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff was so kind, friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Split.

Amazing all around! Pristine condition. Located at the heart of the Docletian palace. Very friendly personnel. Nice little inside garden for breakfast (which is included and plentiful) or just having a rest. One of the highlights of our trip to Croatia.

Perfect place to stay to explore Split, just a few mins walk from the seafront and just off one of the main squares with cafes and restaurants (and an excellent ice cream shop!). Room was lovely, bed very comfortable, beautiful shower room.

Absolutely amazing hotel - the location cannot be beaten, perfectly situated in the old town close to loads of restaurants and 2 minutes walk from the port. Beautiful room, delicious breakfast and wonderful staff. They helped us with our bags to and from the taxi, and helped me call an Uber to go home and stayed with us until he arrived. The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful and really made our stay. Soundproofed windows in the room are a godsend by the way!

Two layers of bread with a creamy sweet filling topped with fresh fruit. We were in a junior suite and the room was spacious and comfortable. So happy we stayed there.

Villa Split has well appointed rooms that make one feel like one is staying in a old, well preserved building. We loved the exposed wooden beams and the furnishings. The staff is fabulous - friendly and helpful. The location, within the Diocletian's Palace is perfect. A couple of drawbacks: -The bathroom is very small. -At night we could hear loud partygoers for a few hours longer than ideal, but perhaps that would be the case anywhere else within the palace. -Toiletries are provided in small, single use plastic bottles, which most hotels have moved away from since those are not as eco-friendly as dispensers.

Had to leave before breakfast but a pleasant bag sack was prepared. Only complaint is that the room shown on the internet did not come close to ours. No wood ceiling, size was tiny,etc. You need to post actual photos of each room so you know what you are getting. Otherwise it can be a disappointment. We stayed with you last year and the room was much nicer in your other building.

We loved the personal, attentive service from everyone at Villa Split. Zoran, Jackof, and Marjanne were friendly and helpful at every interaction. The arranged transport, tours, helped us find an ATM (without exorbitant fees), and recommended some outstanding restaurants. The location was perfect, centrally located within the palace, and always a five-minute walk to everything. Our room had a lot of character, it was clean and comfortable. Daily fresh breakfast offerings were yummy, I especially liked the Acai bowl. If I am fortunate enough to return to Split, I would want to stay here again. I recommend Villa Split to anyone.

The service from the entire team was above and beyond! We were met at the parking garage, escorted to the hotel (short walk from parking). Lovre provide great recommendations for restaurants in the area and he was spot on! Breakfast was delicious, again, service was spectacular. Ivona assisted us with our departure details to the ferry and made sure we had assistance getting our luggage back to the parking garage. Incredibly friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and spacious. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to all major sites, restaurants, and waterfront. The only negative would be there is not an elevator, if you have trouble with stairs that is a consideration, although the hotel is small, so it’s still very manageable & the hotel staff helps with luggage coming and going. Great job, you truly were a memorable part of our stay in Split. Highly recommend!!

A fabulous old world property (with a modern twist) in the heart of the city, just a few steps from People’s Square and Diocletian Palace. All the staff went above and beyond to look after us, especially at breakfast which was made to order! Being in the heart of the city it was not quiet late at night (revellers) or early morning (deliveries), but you pay your money and take you choice! We would definitely go back.

Staying right within the Diocletian palace area, within minutes of everything, in a modern yet cozy unique setting and a very comfortable bed made this the perfect stay. The staff were knowledgable, welcoming, making reservations and suggestions for what to see. Being met and escorted from the garage that was a 10 minute walk away was so helpful. Breakfast included delicious options. Maryana and Zoran were outstanding. Highly recommend.

Great location and staff are very nice, only issue to be aware of is that being in the heart of old town is very noisy outside, but this is not something the hotel can control. People were yelling outside up to 4AM in the morning, had windows closed but could still hear people on the streets

Loved the convenient location of this property. The staff (especially Marianna (sp?) was so helpful with recommendations. We weren’t able to make breakfast both mornings we were there and they made us take away breakfast. The only down side is the noise but it can’t be helped when you are staying in the city. Grab some ear plugs :) Would stay here again. Highly recommend!

This lovely three-unit property was conveniently located, and staff was very helpful. Cookies, nuts, coffee and fruit were always on offer. There was a small breakfast bar with fresh fruit, yogurt, nuts, pastries & coffee. And, they offered a nice selection of breakfasts made to order. Each room is on a different floor, so be aware that there are steps. Also, they had a charming patio where we could eat breakfast or hang out in the afternoon. Great location within city walls for everything.

Very good location. Lovely room and excellent staff. We found the beds a littlefirm for us but they tried to rectify that. The staff helped us bring our luggage up and down the stairs and transported us to the ferry. We had an early morning ferry and they kindly gave us a morning packed breakfast to take with us. Recommend this hotel and a big thank you to all the amazing staff.
