Lyttos Mare Adults Friendly 12plus

Vi hade en fantastisk vistelse på Lyttos Mare på Kreta. Hotellet är otroligt fint med modern design, vackra poolområden och en lyxig men avslappnad känsla genom hela anläggningen. Rummen var jätte fräscha och stora. Bra städning. Solsängarna jätte bekväma. Servicen höll väldigt hög nivå från början till slut, personalen var varm, professionell och alltid hjälpsam. Ett extra plus till bartendrarna i den stora baren som var otroligt skickliga och gjorde riktigt goda drinkar varje kväll. Även kvälls showerna var riktigt proffsiga och underhållande. Maten var verkligen utsökt med stor variation och hög kvalitet. Den asiatiska maten var över förväntan och bland det bästa vi åt under vistelsen. Buffén höll generellt mycket hög standard. Husvinet på buffén var kanske inte det bästa, men rosévinet som serverades i baren var däremot utmärkt. Ett hotell vi gärna återvänder till och varmt rekommenderar för både mat, service och en riktigt härlig semesterkänsla.

Overall, one of the best all-inclusive hotels I have stayed in, and I travel for leisure several times a year. The food was plentiful and above average, though it became a bit repetitive after about one week. The one time we dined at the on-site steak house, which requires a reservation and can only be booked once every seven nights, we wished we’d gone to the buffet instead. Drinks were good, although the cocktail list could be expanded to include more options. Our sea/pool view room was spacious enough to accommodate two adults and one teenager, and the sofa bed used by the teenager was conveniently located as far as possible from the main bed and separated by a door that you can close for privacy. I wish the hotel offered more activities and options for daytime and nighttime entertainment, including on the beach. Also wish the staff would be less pushy about making guests leave dining areas as soon as it is time to clean up after each meal. A little flexibility goes a long way in making guests feel at home, and not every single guest has to leave before you set up for the next meal. Finally, there was a strong sewage smell by the beachside bar with the big TV a couple of times, which was off-putting and should be addressed. I would still recommend the hotel. On a related note, I would advise visiting Crete for no more than one week, unless you just want to lounge beachside or poolside everyday, or you plan to explore other islands and are using Crete merely as a home base.
