We had a very warm welcome on arrival. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly and it was great we could eat with our dog in the bar. The family room was very clean and good size. Not a great view of the fire escape but it didn’t matter for one night. In a great location in the seafront and easy to park outside on the road for free.

Old style lift and was a bit compact for 3 people even though it said maximum of 5. The room sizeable and nicely allocated for us. Staff on hand nice and attentive. No evening restaurant but provided plates and cutlery for when we had takeaway.

The hotel is in need of some modernising ie carpets redecorating but it is comfortable and the staff were great. Parking is limited but there is plenty of space on the promenade directly opposite which is free.

No off road parking no food on arrival restaurant not open that night bed and room not comfortable left in the morning didn’t seem to have any staff around didn’t go back for second night although it was payed for.

Very clean. Helpful and friendly staff. Reasonably good breakfast but limited choice. Evening menu was good, varied and served well. Bar facilities available until 11pm but limited choice. Room facilities adequate but shower pressure on 3rd floor was low. No USB but free wi-fi. TV was through Freeview but NetFlix and other providers available. Overall satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again..

Hotel has seen better days. The room was clean but the bathroom needs updating which made it feel and look a little neglected, dirty seals around the shower etc. The lift is very old. Breakfast needs some soul. Ok hotel but shame it hasn’t been updated.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was clean and a good size. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. To create the double they had put together two singles but top and bottom rather than side by side… Unfortunately the chef was sick so I had to eat elsewhere. For the cost I would stay again

Choose a room with a sea view which you’ll never get bored of to compensate for the tired shoddiness of the interior in general. Easier and better to park on the main road at the front as the hotel's own carpark at the back of the property looks derelict and unmonitored. Luckily I got a great deal via Expedia as I wouldn’t have paid more than £45 for the very ordinary facility I had.

Our stay was not very comfortable. The bed was uncomfortable, partition walls too thin. Had just dozed off to sleep when we were woken at 2.30 in the morning by people talking too loudly in the adjoining room. The whole hotel needs updating. Very basic facilities in the room eg no tumblers, no hair dryer, no floor mat in the bathroom. The room needed a thorough clean Breakfast: both tea and coffee were cold No bread for toasting. Replaced with frozen loaf, won’t be staying there again.

The hotel is dated. Stains on carpets. Bathroom was clean but needs updated. No replenishment of tea/coffee during stay. Very loud all night from fans underneath window, even with windows closed. Got very little sleep. Staff friendly and check in quick.

Thin walls so noise from adjacent rooms. Breakfast crockery was dirty and damaged. Terrible sausages and coffee. The frontage was neglected and overgrown. Staff were friendly and the room rate was reasonable.

Nice hotel, with lovely sea view rooms. Friendly staff, and great breakfast. Didn't use the car park as was able to park roadside outside. Only down side was that the shower did not drain very well. Reported to receptionist on leaving so that they could get it sorted.

The room was clean and spacious although the pipes were banging in the early hours when mentioned it was (brushed under the carpet) so to speak breakfast was lovely as its a dog friendly hotel I expected the bar area to be vacuumed every day but the same patch of dogs hair was there the night after

Very tired rooms. Scruffy walls and dust in cupboards. Back of radiators are filthy and many scuffs on walls; these are all the basics of housekeeping. Also, there's a menu in the rooms promoting the restaurant that is completely closed.

Major issue with the heating. Both radiators in bedroom and bathroom were not radiating on coldest day of the year so far. Appreciated the addition of an electric stand alone radiator. Staff appreciated the issue.

Although the hotel was overall good, especially for the price and location with the sea view, and the staff were very friendly, it is overall a bit dated, but that is ok. However, the biggest problem is the noise; every time someone walked past, things creaked, the doors could be heard opening and closing throughout the night, and the water was quite unbelievably noisy. Anyone having a shower, I could hear the water rushing through the pipes....so not really a good night's sleep both nights I was there.

Most staff were lovely. Slightly rude male staff member in the breakfast room on boxing day. Room was clean but in need of a touch up. It could have been warmer in the bedroom and with blankets available to use without having to ask. The dining room was freezing for breakfast. The view was amazing and nice quiet location. The hotel was ok. Receptionists mint. 2 problems we had was the room was very cold, was unbearable had to put my coat on in the bed didn't sleep at all it was extremely cold tried everything to keep warm the radiator was luke warm!!! The bathroom inertia was really outdated needs a urgent update.

The staff very friendly and helpful. I was given a standard room instead of a superior room. It was very basic but when I complained they changed my room immediately to a superior which was good value for money. Just a shame they didn’t look properly at the booking and look at what I’d paid for but they did sort it out and were apologetic

We were not happy with the first room, too noisy pigeons, banging from next door, renovating next door business. Bedroom and bathroom b Very dated, poorly stocked. The staff at the hotel go above and beyond! They changed our room for the following night and we slept much better and room much more comfortable. The manager (Nicki) is exceptional, she was doing everything! Front desk, housekeeping, bar. Breakfast was not well stocked. No bacon, egg, hash browns left. Plates were wet, condiments limited. It felt a little all over the place.

We had a very warm welcome on arrival. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly and it was great we could eat with our dog in the bar. The family room was very clean and good size. Not a great view of the fire escape but it didn’t matter for one night. In a great location in the seafront and easy to park outside on the road for free.

Nice hotel, with lovely sea view rooms. Friendly staff, and great breakfast. Didn't use the car park as was able to park roadside outside. Only down side was that the shower did not drain very well. Reported to receptionist on leaving so that they could get it sorted.

Most staff were lovely. Slightly rude male staff member in the breakfast room on boxing day. Room was clean but in need of a touch up. It could have been warmer in the bedroom and with blankets available to use without having to ask. The dining room was freezing for breakfast. The view was amazing and nice quiet location. Good value for money. A lovely couple of nights away

Choose a room with a sea view which you’ll never get bored of to compensate for the tired shoddiness of the interior in general. Easier and better to park on the main road at the front as the hotel's own carpark at the back of the property looks derelict and unmonitored. Luckily I got a great deal via Expedia as I wouldn’t have paid more than £45 for the very ordinary facility I had.

Great break away. Lovely room, in a nice quiet area of Morecambe right on the sea front. Excellent food. Breakfast could have been better as sausages and hash browns were poor quality.

Great horel, conveniently situated on Morecambe seafront. The view from the room was fantastic. Breakfast was really good and the staff were all super friendly, will definately return.

Room was nice overlooking the seafront, and a reasonable size. When we arrived there was no one on reception, we had to wait a while for someone to appear. There were big signs saying to only touch the fire alarm in an emergency, and the alarm went off in the middle of the night, they clearly have an issue with the alarm. When we went to breakfast there were 2 girls sat on the table, and we were told “to sit where we want, let them know if we wanted a drink, and the food is through there”. None of the food was hot, and the “scrambled egg” was clearly out of a packet - it was mostly water. When we left again there was no one on reception. Overall disappointing!

Thin walls so noise from adjacent rooms. Breakfast crockery was dirty and damaged. Terrible sausages and coffee. The frontage was neglected and overgrown. Staff were friendly and the room rate was reasonable.

Very basic hotel, ok for a stop over but wouldn’t book for a holiday. Told no food as chef had walked out. I wouldn’t stay again. Clean sheets, comfortable bed and warm.

Room facilities adequate but shower pressure on 3rd floor was low. No USB but free wi-fi. TV was through Freeview but NetFlix and other providers available. Overall satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again..

Great sea views. The room was very basic but good enough. The breakfast wasn't very good though, again very basic. Choice of 2 cereal, with no fruit except for a couple of apples. No fried eggs available, just powdered scrambled egg. I think 3* is fair enough

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was clean and a good size. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. To create the double they had put together two singles but top and bottom rather than side by side… Unfortunately the chef was sick so I had to eat elsewhere. For the cost I would stay again

I love staying at the Strathmore but I've had issues with noisy residents on a few occasions, including this weekend. There are signs everywhere about "Quiet time" after 10pm but it doesn't seem to be adhered to

The room was cleaned but could have been cleaner, like the window sill and paint work. The TV didn't work, could have been the remote but only realised late at night. Bar was only manned by the person on reception and they were dealing with people so couldn't get a drink. Still a room with a bathroom and a bed so it gets an OK 👍

Paid over £100 for a 1 night stay for 2 people with breakfast in a superior sea view room. Very tired, dated and unwelcoming room. Bathroom was grotty, lots of mouldy patches. Room was absolutely nothing like the photos on Hotels.com. Breakfast wasn't good, frozen tasteless sausages, rock hard hash browns and had to wait almost 10 minutes for scrambled egg, which resembled powdered egg. The bread looked like a 10 pence loaf from the corner shop and the only waiter was running around like a headless chicken even though there was about 10 people dining. We didn't experience the bar in the evening but the furniture were sofas that look like they've come from the 1970's. Definitely wont be stopping here again. Morecambe maybe a little run down seaside resort but there is no reason to try and make your hotel match it. Never been ripped off £100 like that in my life.
