Ma reservation sur le site hôtel. Com concernait une chambre a l hôtel Ermitage Nous avons abouti dans une chambre d hote situé a 400 m de cet hôtel et gèré par un autre hôtel, l hôtel du Verdon , lieu où j ai recupere les clefs et réglé le sejour Le petit dej, non pris , se faisait aussi a l hôtel du Verdon . La piscine de l Ermitage était sale et froide suite a un problème technic ..... et a 400 m de la chambre d hôte. Je ne comprends toujours pas comment on a pu aboutir dans une chambre d hôte et géré par un autre établissement alors que la reservation etait une chambre d hôtel.... Le site hôtel. Com est il responsable de cette défaillance. ?? A revoir certainement .

We were a family of four and did not feel safe at all. The pictures did not at all fit with reality. No pool, no reception, very smelly towels (had to take another shower and was happy we had our own towels with us), no restaurant, no staff available at the site. A nice garden but with old and worn out furniture from another century. The rooms mostly looked like something to be rented on an hourly basis. We received a notice a day before check in that we had to pick up the keys within a certain time at another hotel (not within walking distance, had to drive there) which was very inconvenient. A young lady who showed us the rooms did not explain anything about that this was a guesthouse and not the hotel we had booked. When I checked out next day I told them our feedback and they said it was not a hotel. So clearly the description and photos in the presentation are not correct. They gave no discount but just an indifferent response.

The room itself was spacious, clean and had a comfortable bed, making it a pleasant place to relax after a day of exploring. However, there are several things worth knowing before booking. Check-in takes place at a different hotel in town, about a 5–7 minute drive away. To be fair, the property informed us of this shortly before arrival, but it still felt unnecessary. There are key boxes on site, so a self check-in system would have been perfectly feasible, especially as there was no real need for staff at the property. The hotel itself has virtually no facilities. It feels like it may once have operated as an independent hotel but is now either closed down or only partially open. There are no tea or coffee facilities, no breakfast on site, and if you want breakfast you'll need to return to the check-in hotel. Likewise, there isn't technically a pool on the premises—you have to walk down a path to a third hotel to use theirs. Our biggest frustration was the room's curtains. They let in an incredible amount of light, meaning we barely slept past sunrise. It's difficult to understand why a hotel wouldn't install blackout curtains. By the second night we ended up buying aluminium foil to cover the windows ourselves. The soundproofing was also poor, and we could clearly hear our neighbour talking loudly on the phone late at night, early in the morning, and even snoring. Overall, average place with a comfortable, clean room, but several simple improvements would make it better.

If you book at this b&b be very sure that you check in by stopping by Hotel Verdon BEFORE reaching to your destination of Les Jardins de Lermitage .. its a 5 minutes drive away in the opposite direction of where cottages are ..We did not see this instruction pre arrival and when we got there, it was a a bit of a chore to find out that theres no checking in at the cottage itself. The next day ,after going kayaking at the Gorges ,we came back and asked for more towels since we were all wet from the lake, we were told towels were not supposed to be brought to the lake - we explained that we did not bring to the lake but we did use them from coming back -now we need fresh ones for our shower !( theres only 2 of us) It was a little strange to have to explain why we needed more towels - regardless of how we use them ,i would think if guests needed towels ,by all means just give to them ? The 2 ladies that were helping us were actually very friendly and its not their fault - but whoever manage this place needs to look at the 2 things i mentioned in the review. Your cottages are very lovely so help provide the guests with a more positive experience while they stay there .We do wish you to do well !

The place is nice and quiet. It is not an hotel and could be describe as a cottage or guesthouse. There is no housekeeping during the stay. Most the amenities ( pools, restaurants) described are part of the "hotel de l'ermitage" which is accessible from "les jardins de l'ermitage" if you can walk down a stair and unpaved path down a hill about 100 yards which my 87 year old father couldn't do. The outdoor pool was still closed even if we stay beginning of Mai. The indoor pool part of the SPA and is accessible for a fee of $25 for 24hours. The cotages and rooms were large, nice, well maintain. We did not see any staff during the entire stay (4 nights). The outdoor around the place has a pound and is very relaxing.
