I've stayed at The Cove a couple of times. It's the perfect combination of location, price, and decent accomodations. Each room has a functional kitchen and comfy furnishings. It's an old school Daytona Beach hotel. It has a great pool and deck for sunbathing or people watching. I'll definitely stay there again next time I visit Daytona Beach!

This is an older hotel, like many in Daytona the exterior needs to be modernized. The property seawall and pool area were damaged by the Hurricanes in 2022 and shows no signs of repair. The pool was open and there were plenty of lounges available to use. We stayed in the King Ocean View. The room was very clean and everything comfortable and the view Amazing. The dressers show wear and could use some updating. The Air Conditioning was on point. If you're looking for an economical stay and are willing to overlook the outdated items, this is the place. The staff was friendly, the Ocean view from the room all you could ask for and as a bonus it had two comfy stuffed chairs in the room for relaxing. Full Kitchen, plenty of counter space and a dining area for 4. I will book again soon.

When we arrived it was late. The bed sheets were dirty, had to be changed. The only good was Kevin and the wonderful Women at checkout on Monday morning. We would of gotten a different place but everything was booked. The beds were uncomfortable. I thought I booked a partial view of the ocean because ocean view was booked. I received a parking lot view. The pool was freezing. Oh and there was no steps to the beach, and no warning either. Very dangerous. The good great hot water.

I liked that it was beachfront. However, the elevator did not work and we were on the 4th floor. And the person below us was constantly smoking marijuana on the balcony and I told the front desk person multiple times. They said that they don't allow smoking, but they would not, to my knowledge, tell the person to stop smoking. The smoke would waft up into our room.

This was a great two night stay for the nascar race. Stayed on the second floor. Walked to the beach, and enjoyed a good couple hours there then got to enjoy the pool. The pool is perfect and up to 5 ft deep. Bed was comfy. Room was spacious and felt safe here. Thank you!

They ran my card then informed me that they didn’t have any hot water and weren’t sure when they would get it back. Finally got hot water the next night. Broken handle on the balcony door, a/c was not controlled by an independent thermostat but by the owner and it never got below 71 degrees. Pictures of the pool area were taken before the hurricane so they don’t show the partial deck destruction and all the security tape. We actually cut our trip short and went back home a day ahead because it was too hot in the room for us to sleep.

The hotel is tired and in need of repair and a good clean. There was even small dead birds in the debris around the walls in the pool area.For the cost of the room I was expecting more. On the plus side the beach is gorgeous and you get direct access from the hotel.

I like the way the front desk person was helpful and courteous. I didn’t like that the floors were very dirty had not been mopped or swept, the bedspread had dried chocolate or feces on the side of the bed and the pillow had mold in it. There was no microwave in the room and the smoke detector was laying on the counter with no battery in it. There was trash outside on the patio that we swept up so we could sit outside. We cleaned the floor inside and luckily I always bring an extra top sheet and my own blankets.

The room was dirty when we checked in, had to wipe down countertops due to makeup on the bathroom counter and dried food on the counter in kitchen counters and the table. The floors hadn’t been swept, and the blankets were dirty, you could see dried food and stuff on them. The glass windows still had fingerprints and dried food from previous people staying there. Staff wasn’t very friendly. We had stayed there before and it was a nice experience that is why I decided to stay there again, not going to be staying there again.

Sheets were disgusting. Floor wasn’t swept. I let front desk know and they had housekeeper come. She remade the bed with the same bedding and didn’t sweep the floor. I had to go buy bedding to be able to have clean sheets and I also had to have the front desk give me a broom and dust pan to sweep the floors myself. They done nothing to improve our stay. The heat in the rooms did not work as well. The room also smelled bad.

First room we were giving had roaches crawling on the counters. Second room, no noticeable roaches at least. But still pretty dirty. The floors were dirty. The countertops were dirty. The bathroom tub had what seemed to be chewing gum stuck on the bottom. Just one large smear about 3 inches long by a half inch wide that was very sticky. no smoke detectors. The lock did not work on the sliding glass door out to the balcony. Had a flimsy piece of metal that was supposed to be used. The air conditioning rattled and leaked all over the bathroom sink nonstop. Only one very small skillet and one very small sauce pan. The Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent. You could not use it. It showed only one bar of service but would not work at all. The front desk didn’t care about you having complaints. None of the phones work that was in the hotel rooms.

There was a dead cockroach in the bathroom in plain view which means they do t clean the rooms before guest come. The refrigerator had filthy all over the top and the floors were disgustingly dirty that if you walked on them barefoot your feet were black with dirt. Thankfully we had relatives staying nearby and only had to stay in our room one night during our stay. They should condemn it.

I never expected much. Beach view and easy drive to the speedway. Pool is fine too. I think there are some easy things to tidy this place up. CLEAN the rooms. The ledge in the shower wasn’t touched in a very long time. Also, the ceilings on the bathroom had little specks of dirt that will come off easily. Invest in small items that add value like luggage carts that aren’t 75% rusted. Even putting a roll of paper towels and a few plates would go a long way because the kitchens are a selling point. The coffee condiment packs are very stale and old. The cream powder was a brick. Easy fix. I also saw several roaches in my room. Don’t use spray, invest in pest control. AC is a huge investment but it was adequate.

The staff was extremely nice. The property is very old and it shows. The ceilings in our room were disgusting, the shower DID NOT have hot water - heck it didn't even get warm so it was cold showers for us. The bed was comfortable and clean. There were children in the room above us running from one end of the room to the other at midnight and it continued until after I finally fell asleep at 1am. There were kids on the balcony with a megaphone at 10:30pm yelling through it and at the people walking by - they did this to my husband and I when we went to walk on the beach. We had people banging on our door the ENTIRE time at all hours. I really wanted so bad for this motel to be a little gem. I was wrong. Huge water bugs in the pool and the pool deck was trashed with trash and towels and a random metal detector just sitting out there. The deck area is under construction, but there was no good way to get on the beach from the property, you have to walk down the beach ramp which would not normally be a problem but with the construction it was just all screwed up. The bathroom was straight out of 1970. I do not think a thing has ever been changed and it felt really nasty. A positive though is that there was not a stitch of carpet in the room, THANK GOD! Room had an awful smell, and when you looked at the wall where the AC vent was it was just plain scary. The louvers were all busted out, it was rusty and moldy. Oceanfront = parking lot FYI.

First, as we entered the room, the fire alarm was on the floor and without a battery. Second, there is no thermostat. The room was on the hot side. We had to sleep with the balcony sliding door open. Thank God the breeze coming from the ocean was perfect. Finally, the cleaning crew should check the sliding door framing behind the curtains. It was filthy. All is a shame because the room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the view from the balcony was perfect.

The location is great right in the beach with beach access. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are very dated and the water pressure leaves much to be desired. We loved the kitchenette and the kitchen items they have in the room for you. The ocean view room was a great view of the Daytona Beach and the ocean. balcony is small but you can sit out there.

The location is great right in the beach with beach access. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are very dated and the water pressure leaves much to be desired. We loved the kitchenette and the kitchen items they have in the room for you. The ocean view room was a great view of the Daytona Beach and the ocean. balcony is small but you can sit out there.

The desk attendant at night is amazing and Gloria in the morning is also just as nice!!! Clean room, a little dated but for the price it’s an amazing value, size and location. Will definitely be back!

Went to check in, after making reservations online. I had a confirmation number and everything. The guy at the front desk told me the manager cancelled my reservation. That's it. No room for me. I asked why and he said the manager was off today and that "yeah that's weird I don't know what happened". Unbelievable. I booked it in the early afternoon, and he said she cancelled it a half hour later. No phone call, nothing. If the property was over booked, then call me and tell me, and save me a two hour drive for nothing. Terrible.

We always stay here when in Daytona, we got married and decided to stay well our bathroom was raining in from an air conditioner vent, when we informed Kevin at the front desk his reply was it's not my property therefore not my problem so we slept in a room with a flooded bathroom that you couldn't safely use. So I don't know about a return unfortunately the front desk clerk did not help our decision

Joey was awesome. He checked us in and personally made sure the rooms were ready. During our stay we saw him cleaning windows, maintaining the landscaping, and offering to help anyone he came in contact with.

First room we were giving had roaches crawling on the counters. Second room, no noticeable roaches at least. But still pretty dirty. The floors were dirty. The countertops were dirty. The bathroom tub had what seemed to be chewing gum stuck on the bottom. Just one large smear about 3 inches long by a half inch wide that was very sticky. no smoke detectors. The lock did not work on the sliding glass door out to the balcony. Had a flimsy piece of metal that was supposed to be used. The air conditioning rattled and leaked all over the bathroom sink nonstop. Only one very small skillet and one very small sauce pan. The Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent. You could not use it. It showed only one bar of service but would not work at all. The front desk didn’t care about you having complaints. None of the phones work that was in the hotel rooms.

room was not in order. door lock was broken took 2 1/2 hours to fix . they would not move us to another room instead we had to stay at room till fixed . staff member seemed to pleasure in our inconvenience . was there to spend afternoon with grand daughter at the beach which we did not get to do , asked for manager but she was not there. was told she had not been there for days.

I've stayed at The Cove a couple of times. It's the perfect combination of location, price, and decent accomodations. Each room has a functional kitchen and comfy furnishings. It's an old school Daytona Beach hotel. It has a great pool and deck for sunbathing or people watching. I'll definitely stay there again next time I visit Daytona Beach!

The Cove Motel is beachfront with ocean view rooms. It's an older hotel that is outdated, but my room was clean. The front desk staff were friendly, and I had no issues checking in. It's a great location, and the price is budget friendly. The hotel is close to restaurants, bars, and shopping. I would stay here again.

While the rooms had been renovated, the bathroom was not. The shower rod was held in place by a screwdriver. There was no water pressure and barely any hot water. Found several roaches in the room. The elevator had a certificate that expired 2 years ago. There was limited parking and the only snack machine was inside the office which closed at 11. You could hear the other guests from inside the rooms. Never saw a cleaning crew. The pool had mold on the bricks. The sliding door to the balcony would not close completely. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great friendly check in. View of ocean & sand beach. New paint , but it is older property. No breakfast snacks. Room has full size fridge & stove. Hot water was instant. But property is older; so price was right for one night.

The worst parking lot in Daytona hotel choices. You’re gonna leave with scratches on your doors because of how tight every space is (looks like a lot in the pictures, it’s not). The entire room was sopping wet when I walked in - not from beach goers though, the microwave and coffee pot were literally soaked with water droplets. Floor was soaking wet as well, actual puddles in front of the couch and dining table. Had to place towels all over the floor. The view would have been okay if it wasn’t for everyone in the other parking lot next door sitting outside and facing this hotel so the privacy is null and void. Door did NOT lock properly while inside and had to shove two chairs under the door to feel safe. Never even left the room unfortunately due to the parking issue and feeling as if someone would ransack my room if I left. The staff was pleasant but wouldn’t be able to tell the front attendant from a guest since they have no uniform and was sitting on the couch with other guests when I arrived. Will never stay here again. At least the bed was soft (but the white sheets had quite a few mystery stains). You get what you pay for if you get a cheap room on Labor Day Weekend I guess.

Check the beds as soon as you get in the room. I waited until I was exhausted and the beds hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest .i slept on towels. And there’s not too many parking spaces
