Very clean and comfortable. The room was amazing. I loved walking around the hotel and seeing all of the amenities available including the roof top pool! The property is beautiful and I would easily stay here again. It’s a pricey hotel but if you can afford it go for it.

This is a gem in Columbia. The coffee shop is very good and you can sit and look over the sunrise over the beautiful lake. The bar has excellent food and drink and it’s amazing I can have my pooch sit with me on the sofa and have table service with a menu that’s competitive to any quality food in big cities. The crab dip and crab soup are top notch. The kiwi mojito is delicious and everything else I’ve tried in my three recent stays. It’s not crowded however I wish it was more popular so that the bar was open more. Rooms are comfortable. Since food & drink services closes at a certain hour, guests would benefit from mini bar options. The gym is wonderful. It’s so nice to be able to walk out and take a stroll around the lake or walk to a restaurant from the hotel. I adore the bird themed decor and mix of bands and artists who have played at Merriweather. There are many spots to conduct business meetings on beautifully decorated lounge spots and also excellent meeting spaced like a conference room, rooftop lounge by the pool and event soace. I’m thoroughly impressed with the updates as I’ve been staying at this hotel my entire life before it was redone. Parking is super easy.

I had asked for a quiet room on a high floor not fronting the atrium. I paid for a lake view. I’m on the atrium, it’s nearly 11pm, it’s very noisy, kids are running through the halls and the front desk is telling me there is nothing they can do. I stayed here once before and had a very good experience. I have 3 additional rooms booked for family members tomorrow night and am worried that they will have the same experience.

This room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was amazing. View of the lake was incredible. We had a corner room so there was plenty of light. Using your key on the elevator helped make me feel safe. Cafe and bar on site was really nice. The room we ordered wasnt available before we arrived and they called to find out what which otger room met with our needs. Because of this they compted our breakfast. That was about a $40 comp! BTW: breakfast prepare by chef and service in a nice dining area. I would live to stay here again.

This is a dressed up Marriott and a great option for a suburban stay. However, it is not worth $400 per night. For that price I would expect a more upscale experience. Minimal travel size toiletries are provided and no robes. We ordered room service and it was delivered in a to go paper bag and plastic containers. Worst of all the walls were paper thin. Our neighbor must have been ill and we heard them all night and morning. Overall it’s a nice place to stay, but the price doesn’t match the quality especially considering there is a Doubletree downtown for half the price.

I liked everything about the hotel except for the fact that there is not a microwave onsite and the limited space in the bathroom. At least one microwave in a kitchenette area should be available at any hotel or extended stay. The limited space in the bathroom is a good reason to look elsewhere. Please consider removing the small table between the sink and toilet, and adding shelves or some sort of tower that will allow guests to utilize more space.

I arrived at the hotel and was running late for a dinner reservation. The front desk team quickly and kindly got me checked in. The staff at this beautiful hotel are wonderful! Overall it was an awesome stay!

Where do I start… after the hotel ruined our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, they did nothing to even attempt to rectify the situation. Charging my card and telling me it never went through even though I showed them right on my phone the funds were taken. Even had me call my bank while in the lobby (yes on Valentines Day) just for my bank to confirm it was the hotel holding the funds and even that was not enough. The general manager was rude. I went to corporate to file a complaint and after providing every single thing they requested of me, they said “sorry nothing we can do”.

Great hotel. The ambience was amazing. The staff was both friendly and accommodating for an early check in. Additionally, the room was very clean and modern. The dining options were excellent and reasonably priced. I stayed here for a quick weekend trip and would definitely stay here again.

I ate at Lak, which was very good, with good service, however, the first night, when I opened the dinner menu, it had crumbs all over it. Someone should check these things. Plus, my coffee maker didn't work, and I had to have it replaced.

We ENJOYED our stay at the Merriweather Hotel!! The staff and service were AMAZING!! Especially Oscar, the shuttle chauffeur! His communication, vibe, personality, and service was 20/10!! Wr also had dinner in the hotel restaurant and our server was amazing along with the food! We were so happy with our stay and cannot wait to come back to visit!

This was a staycation for my birthday with just me and my husband. We are long time Columbia residents and know the area . The property is very nice and King room with balcony was amazing. The only downfall was the restaurant service , we attempted to have my birthday dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Waited several minutes to be seated, never got a menu, water or anything. It seemed like one person was the only one waiting tables and she seemed flustered .We were trying to give them some leeway yet sat for 20 minutes . When she stood right by our table looked at us yet said nothing , and we still didnt have menus thats when we left and had dinner elsewhere. We did tell the front desk and she gave us a coupon for free breakfast for two . We did get breakfast yet once again it appeared like they were very short staffed and our breakfast took over 20 minutes to come . We came at a good time because the tables after us waited even longer . I would recommend that they work on hiring more staff for the restaurants .

Staff jocelyn, chris, and moya gave inaccurate info that the hotel would have views of fireworks for the new years. Fireworks were not at the lake front nor were they in view. We notified the hotel manager that agreed to provide full refunds and we checked out!

This hotel has a incredible location, walking distance to a huge shopping mall, a spa, multiple bars and restaurants, and the Merriweather Post concern venue. Yet it's tucked back from the road on a beautiful lake, with walking trails and outdoor patios. It's somehow a quiet and peaceful getaway even close to all these great attractions. Parking & WiFi are free! Rooms are airy, spacious, and clean. Staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We had a great time & would absolutely choose this property again for a future stay.

I LOVED the hotel! It was nice, quiet, and clean. Check-in was quick. The food was EXCEPTIONAL, even when ordering from the bar. I like that there was a live musician playing on Saturday night near the bar. Room service was QUICK and friendly. I had a lake view from my room, which I really enjoyed. I didn’t have time to personally enjoy the lake because I was spending quality time with family in the area, however. I am DEFINITELY coming back to enjoy the lake…and the SHOPPING!

This was a staycation for my birthday with just me and my husband. We are long time Columbia residents and know the area . The property is very nice and King room with balcony was amazing. The only downfall was the restaurant service , we attempted to have my birthday dinner in the restaurant downstairs. Waited several minutes to be seated, never got a menu, water or anything. It seemed like one person was the only one waiting tables and she seemed flustered .We were trying to give them some leeway yet sat for 20 minutes . When she stood right by our table looked at us yet said nothing , and we still didnt have menus thats when we left and had dinner elsewhere. We did tell the front desk and she gave us a coupon for free breakfast for two . We did get breakfast yet once again it appeared like they were very short staffed and our breakfast took over 20 minutes to come . We came at a good time because the tables after us waited even longer . I would recommend that they work on hiring more staff for the restaurants .

The property and the stay was great however I didn’t enjoy the food at the connected restaurant Lak. The menu was limited. Cocktail and dessert was very good entree was a waist of $35. Overall I would stay again but next time I’ll stick with an appetizer and a cocktail if I must eat at Lak

Our stay was exceptional! Warm welcomes from all of the staff and the clean room made our trip so comfortable. Our keys to our room highlighted the Train concert we were going to as a unique highlight for our girls trip. The only thing that could have been better was outlets near the beds and additional towels that were requested but never arrived. All that being said, we are looking forward to our next concert and stay with Merriweather Lakehouse!
