The hotel staff and services were really very good but the local neighbourhood is not the greatest. The Bar and Games facilities are attracting less than desirable clientele who hang around the guest entries. They also had a disturbance in the hotel which require Edmonton Police to evict the unruly guests during our stay. This seems to be occurring at all the West Edmonton Hotels. We have now encountered this at this and 2 other locations. The desk, service and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the restaurant was also reasonably priced, quick service and very good. The room was spacious, clean and otherwise quiet of traffic and other disturbances.

The bed was comfortable and the in-room coffee was pretty good. It was nice having a microwave and mini-fridge. Parking was easy and accessible. The room was really old, but that's fine, it's an old hotel, and it was expected. The bedding was clean and neat. However, the lobby and restaurant smelled like smoke, random people just hanging around every time I went through the main floor, there were people partying in our hallway most of the night, the pillows were really lumpy, and the bathtub faucet ran all night. There was no card lock on the elevator which made the room feel unsafe, especially with the party right by my suite all night. There was no chain lock on the door to add that slight extra protection.

Parking lot was filthy with cigarette butts and garbage. Beds are horrible and the AC wasn’t working and uncomfortable night. The Lounge/Games room is too quiet, should at least play a radio station. Here’s some good features; Great location, good restaurant and 24 hour security

Easy access to everything. A lot of people hang out in the front of the building, not sure if those people are homeless or what and it's actually scary to go outside at night. Security is on sight but need to go often outside the building and check what's going on around the parking area.

We were booked for three nights. When we arrived, they checked us in as usual. When we got to our room, it was hot. I called reception to ask why, and the lady said, ‘There’s no air conditioning. Would you like a fan?’ I said no, I need a room with air conditioning, or we can just move to a different hotel. The lady then said they would just give us a refund. The hotel lobby was dirty.

There were people smoking in their rooms . The room that we stayed in had a stench of tobacco and pot. The bathroom was so small , there was only room for one person to stand . There was a small fridge in the room that made howling noise when it kicked in. The thermostat in the room was falling apart. There was litter in the hallways for 2 days before someone picked it up. Loud and drunk people on the floor that kept yelling and slamming doors all night long.

Very poor quality hotel. No air conditioner and the windows are not opening. Very stale air as you come in. We were provided with small fans. Luckily the weather was cool otherwise we would’ve been cooked there. The mattresses are hard. The coffee maker was dirty inside. The light switches were dirty. Unknown sticky substance in the flooring. The only good thing was the bathroom- clean tub, sink and towels. The check out took around 30 min. They have to send the housekeeping to check on the condition of your room until they can give you your deposit back. So if there are few people checking out at the same time, it takes quite a while. The area around the hotel is very sketchy.

There was bags of garbage lying on the hallway, we thought maybe they are cleaning but they where there the whole time we stayed there, the place is very dirty and it had a bad small in the hallways the front desk staff was nice! I will never stay there again!

The pictures are not accurate of the property. Very dated. Tremendous noise from other rooms, drunk people in the halls, 2 nights in a row. Writing this at 4am as still not able to sleep due to the noise. Staff is very good and friendly, only good thing to say. Shower has very little pressure you may as well pour a cup of water over your head. We will never stay in this chain again. Unfortunately it was close to where we needed be.

Food was good. Restaurant service was good. The noise, banging on the wall most of the night, the smell of cigarette smoke and Marijuana smoke all night, and the 3 am phone call was unacceptable. Probably will NOT be staying here again.

Honestly, it was like being in an episode of hotel hell with Gordon Ramsey. Front entrance desk/cabinet is literally held together with moving tape. Rooms had alot of damage, leaking faucet, stains on carpet and chairs, furniture wasnt matching, and was extremely old. For $184 for one single night, not worth it. I've stayed at $50 motels nicer than this. Extremely dissapointed. Staff was friendly. Only thing I have good to say about this.

The rooms condition was quite dated and many things in the room were damaged or broken including the thermostat and the tv. The room was clean and, despite the damage, tidy/well cared for. There was a lot of noise from other rooms and floors while trying to sleep.

I read some of the reviews of this property before booking. I have no idea why this hotel is rated so low. From when we arrived until we left, we had nothing but good things to say about Staff, the hotel and the area. its well worth the price!

Room was clean, bed comfy, and staff were very friendly! Only nitpick is I wish there was USB charging plugs, as well as a power plug near the desk for a laptop.

They requested a $500.00 damage deposit for a room that was already very damaged and dirty. I took photos as soon as we were in the room to prove damage was already there and showed them to the staff. When we went to checkout, the staff didn’t know how to deal with the booking through Expedia and wanted to add another payment to my card and were attempting to add the payment to the machine manually even though i showed them my online booking receipt. The manager eventually stepped in and let me leave. Also the room was super hot even after we turn the temperature way down. I had to soak towels with cold water, put them in the fridge, and change them out all night long while trying to sleep under them. The bathroom floor had hair and debris all over it. The beds flet like laying down on plywood with a bedcover over it. Suppose to be a non-smoking room and floor but the hallway had lingering smoke in it when we got off the elevator and there were burn marks on the tv stand in our room.

The hotel staff and services were really very good but the local neighbourhood is not the greatest. The Bar and Games facilities are attracting less than desirable clientele who hang around the guest entries. They also had a disturbance in the hotel which require Edmonton Police to evict the unruly guests during our stay. This seems to be occurring at all the West Edmonton Hotels. We have now encountered this at this and 2 other locations. The desk, service and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the restaurant was also reasonably priced, quick service and very good. The room was spacious, clean and otherwise quiet of traffic and other disturbances.

The bed was comfortable and the in-room coffee was pretty good. It was nice having a microwave and mini-fridge. Parking was easy and accessible. The room was really old, but that's fine, it's an old hotel, and it was expected. The bedding was clean and neat. However, the lobby and restaurant smelled like smoke, random people just hanging around every time I went through the main floor, there were people partying in our hallway most of the night, the pillows were really lumpy, and the bathtub faucet ran all night. There was no card lock on the elevator which made the room feel unsafe, especially with the party right by my suite all night. There was no chain lock on the door to add that slight extra protection.

Parking lot was filthy with cigarette butts and garbage. Beds are horrible and the AC wasn’t working and uncomfortable night. The Lounge/Games room is too quiet, should at least play a radio station. Here’s some good features; Great location, good restaurant and 24 hour security

A lot of homeless in the area however there is security 24/7👍😁 My spouse cut his on the bathroom door, went to ask front desk for a bandaid and she said she couldn’t because she would have to do a full checklist of the first aid kit. What’s the point of having a first aid kit, if they can’t provide to their guests👎 Restaurant is good and very friendly staff👍

I didn't feel safe at this hotel, especially having to walk my dogs at night. The front desk service was good, we went to the elevator and there was a pile of onion rings on the floor, the lights in the elevator were disgustingly dirty. We walked to our room regretting our choice for the weekend and our keys didn't work so at that point decided it was time to leave. We didn't stay and won't again.
I didn't feel safe at this hotel, especially having to walk my dogs at night. The front desk service was good, we went to the elevator and there was a pile of onion rings on the floor, the lights in the elevator were disgustingly dirty. We walked to our room regretting our choice for the weekend and our keys didn't work so at that point decided it was time to leave. We didn't stay and won't again.

Easy access to everything. A lot of people hang out in the front of the building, not sure if those people are homeless or what and it's actually scary to go outside at night. Security is on sight but need to go often outside the building and check what's going on around the parking area.

It is so old and dated (in a terribly scary not busy/back alley). Not the “normal”lobby it was old/small/ dingy, drugs our front. I was worried. When I got to the room it was old/dated but clean enough. So I stayed. Would never stay again.

Food was good. Restaurant service was good. The noise, banging on the wall most of the night, the smell of cigarette smoke and Marijuana smoke all night, and the 3 am phone call was unacceptable. Probably will NOT be staying here again.

The room was spacious and bright, with a large window that brought in plenty of natural light. The carpet, bedding, and bathroom were all exceptionally clean. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and provided fast service. However, the common areas were noticeably outdated and poorly maintained. The lobby windows were dirty, and the lobby, hallways, and flooring throughout the property appeared worn and in need of renovation. While the room itself was very comfortable, the condition of the shared spaces did not reflect the same standard.
