Nightcap at Skyways Hotel

This was an awesome little hotel close to the airport and a shopping center! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The room was affordable, clean, and convenient for our early flight the next morning. It had a really cool restaurant with delicious food too! It's location is exceptional, being close to the airport, and there's a massive mall right across the street! We were able to get some last minute things within walking distance, and there were lots of food options. Our Uber had no trouble finding us, and the owner was so kind to help us with getting our many suitcases outside. He was so helpful! The decor is absolutely stunning and it has a very cool vibe. The bed was comfortable and the shower was exhilarating! We loved being provided with ample coffee supplies for the morning too! So many hotels skint on the coffee, but not this place, so that was really appreciated. There was a security guard on duty all night too, and he was very friendly to us, so I felt safe. There were some rowdy people on the property throughout the night, but the noise didn't last long, and again, I felt safe knowing there was security taking care of the situation. All in all, it was generally quiet, and we felt very welcomed and comfortable during our stay. I definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for a good rest before a long flight! Condition of room, though good in cleanliness, was average (in need of fresh paint). Room service was poor, after waiting for an hour I went back to restaurant to inquire about the status of my order. It was found sitting on some shelf for about 30min and then, without further heat treatment or apologies carried to my room. While munching my cold food, I was entertained by the hammering beats of the dance music being played above my room where apparently a private function was taking place, which was to continue until 11 pm that night. Of course there was no staff to be seen in the morning or any airport shuttle service or alike. Verdict: hands off unless you're not planning to eat or sleep in your hotel!

This accommodation was perfect for a week day stay ahead of an early morning flight out of Melbourne. The rooms were clean, beds super comfortable and the facility was quiet overnight. We had a lovely dinner in the bistro with a 10% discount on our meals. Staff were helpful and friendly. Car parking is in the venue’s free car park. The airport is an easy 13-15 minute drive away. Will stay again.

We got out of the car to a dirty syringe on the ground. The description on expedia doesnt really explain that this is part of a pokies and pub, which is open until 4am. The room was clean, however the walls are thin and the person in the room beside had his tv blaring until after 1:30am. Even with ear plugs in it was too loud to sleep. If you're after an airport stop over, there's other options to look at.

There were a couple interesting things around. Mall next door, and train stop across the street made this the best rest for a long layover. They have a little casino and bistro in the lobby. The room itself was good. The design was strange but workable. Door knobs were extremely high for some reason. The shower was amazingly strong, but the toilet needed more room. Careful with shower door, it could smack on the sink and break if you have kids. Tv had Netflix , and room was at a good room temp with decent ventilation. Overall I’d stay here again.

I was there for one night for work. Checked in late and checked out early. Had dinner at the restaurant and got 10% discount for hotel guest. Asked reception if there was anywhere for breakfast but he was not able help. There were a couple of mosquitoes in the room, cleaners must have left the door open when they were cleaning. Apart from that the room was clean and fresh. Air conditioning worked good. There is shampoo and body wash but no toothpaste. Overall for good a short stay.

The room was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. The shower was great.and we were grateful for the free bottled water. Only thing that bothered me was a light on the bottom of the TV that kept going bright and then fading to dark all night. On the second night we put a bandaid over it to block it out. We thought it might be noisy being a pub that stays open till 4am but the room was down a long corridor far away from the action so we heard very little. We’d stay again.

First night ok second night no sleep as hotel had function. They should have told guests that noise would be over the top and could have moved to another property. Sign in door must not apply to noise levels caused by hotel itself. Beware

The room is extreamly small and the bed feels like a water bed with no water. It'll be the first and last time I'll ever stay there.

Quite small but a very nice renovated room. A short walk across the car park to the Westfield shopping centre and very close to the airport and 5 minutes from airport parking.

Staff were helpful and cheerful. Room was really quiet. Bed was way too soft for me . I didn’t ask if anything else was available. Had a one night stay ,so I just sucked it up . Location near big shopping centre and transport links ,awesome. Thankyou.

Lots of noise from upstairs and during the night

Having never stayed here before, we were pleasantly surprised that the room was as it is depicted in the photographs - very well presented, great room set up, clean and tidy. Staff weren't as friendly as we'd experienced at other businesses, but helpful nonetheless and check-in / out was very easy. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Stay was fine. No one at the front desk for check in as she was working the bar as well. Card wouldn’t work when I did get checked in and had to be set up again immediately.

Great place to stay before flying out from airport. Convenient cheap and clean and can eat there too.

Good value. Good quality cotton sheets. Quiet, except the bathroom fan which makes a very loud noise when the light is on. In a shopping centre car park, so not scenic at all. Weird atmosphere as many guests were gambling addicts. Good value and near the airport.
