What a cute little stay! Great breakfast, the hosts were very friendly, bed was comfy, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, fridge, kettle all included. The cool gramophone room, the free umbrella use, the free cappuccino were all great little added touches. Close to everything. Thank you for the Birthday bottle of wine! The loud construction works over the road at 07:45am on Saturday and Sunday weren't ideal but that was no fault of the hotel. The room could have been bigger but you don't come to Athens to sit in your room all day!

A great hotel, located in the best spot for seeing ancient ruins and accessing shopping and dining options! The room was extremely comfortable, and the front desk was 24/7 which turned out to be super helpful since our flight got delayed! Just make sure to select the right address if traveling by Uber, don't type home sweet home or you'll end up in the Greek countryside. Also they had breakfast included which as a nice touch! And the most comfortable pillows in all of Athens! Honestly this should be rated higher than a 1 star hotel.

Staff here was extremely accessible and helpful. They made check in and out easy! Love the 24-hour reception and hotel has many restaurants within walking distance. Also just a 5 min walk from Syntagma metro station!

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Even the person at the front desk on the day we arrived made sure that a taxi didn’t refuse to take card payment and also ensured we were not overcharged beyond the regular daytime fare. They also prepared a breakfast to go for us since our flight was very early, and even lent us chargers that fit European type. You truly feel like you’re at a home away from home in this hotel! Is like home sweet home totally

Simply put, it was a bad experience. We stayed there for 3 nights and we couldn’t sleep at all!! Everything is noisy, if you step on the floor you hear the parquet, bathroom door makes noise, if someone else flushes the toilet in their room or walks or closes the door you could hear it like in your room, AC is very loud and not working very well (don’t try opening the window instead, noise gets even louder!). After all the sleepless nights, we woke up in the morning to checkout and leave to the airport, only to find out that the safe in the hotel room that has our passports in it is not opening whatsoever!! And no we weren’t putting the wrong code, they made us wait for the employee to come because he supposedly knows the override code. But then we discover that the safe battery is low that’s why they cannot open it even with an override code and guess what! They couldn’t find the key for the safe, they lost it! They kept us waiting and running late to our flight for an hour and half till they finally fixed it. We went running to the airport not knowing if we can make it to our flight or not. Honestly the way they handled the situation was sooo unprofessional, just imagine they lost the key!

Wonderful stay—highly recommended! This property is situated in the heart of the historic district, with all major attractions within walking distance. The staff at the reception and breakfast, as well as the manager, are warm, friendly, welcoming, and exceptionally helpful. The interior is beautiful, featuring high ceilings, and the breakfast is delightful. Our last-minute booking turned out to be a great choice! Best wishes to everyone involved. I loved the property it is a smaller boutique hotel, but all the perks of a bigger hotel. The rooms had all good quality toiletries, room and bathroom super clean and was serviced daily. The room also had a small fridge with water. The breakfast was wonderful everything Made fresh every day and the staff was absolutely wonderful and inviting. The property is also located in a central area walkable to restaurants, churches, stores and the Acropolis. The property also has an elevator and reception is opened 24 hrs for those leaving or arriving at unusual times. The decor is also very nice and does not look dated, I give this a 5 star.

Lovely boutique hotel right in the centre of Athens lots of restaurants and bars nearby hotel was very clean and the staff are exceptionally friendly. Couldn’t do enough to help when my wife had to go and see a doctor if I ever came back would definitely stay here again

I stayed for three nights at the Sweet Home Hotel. The location is excellent: only a 5 min walk from Syntagma Metro Station. You have all important places in Walking distance. Restaurants are nearby. Already at Check In I was warmly welcomed. Tina supported me with all my special requests. The breakfast was excellent: Everything was homemade. My room (101 Basic Room) was small but comfortable and clean. A little less daylight fell in. There was only the outside air condition the disturbed me during the night. It is placed next to the window.

This is the absolute gem of a place. All the major attractions are within 15-20 minutes walking distance. Their staff is so nice and caring. They also clean your room everyday. I would love to recommend this place to everyone. Worth your money.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very nice and packed us a breakfast box to take with us to the airport for our very early morning flight. Room was clean and quaint. Would stay there again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was excellent - you could see the Parthenon from our hotel window! The breakfast was varied. Above all, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. High recommended.

The Sweet Home Hotel is charming in it's decor, and the staff were all warm and friendly. They each let us know in some way of their commitment to supporting our visit to Athens. Our only little complaint is that our room, though lovely (and bed comfortable) was very small leaving little room to put our suitcases and stuff -- also no comfortable seating (I am finding this a trend in newer boutique hotels)...no place to sit but the bed.

The best part of the hotel is the sweet staff who took such great care of us. They provided everything we needed and were so kind (even when I took a fall and scraped up my leg) they help me clean and bandage it! The breakfast was good and the bed comfortable. The only concern was we stayed in the “basic room” and it was extremely small. So small there was no where to put your luggage.

I stayed for three nights at the Sweet Home Hotel. The location is excellent: only a 5 min walk from Syntagma Metro Station. You have all important places in Walking distance. Restaurants are nearby. Already at Check In I was warmly welcomed. Tina supported me with all my special requests. The breakfast was excellent: Everything was homemade. My room (101 Basic Room) was small but comfortable and clean. A little less daylight fell in. There was only the outside air condition the disturbed me during the night. It is placed next to the window.

Simply put, it was a bad experience. We stayed there for 3 nights and we couldn’t sleep at all!! Everything is noisy, if you step on the floor you hear the parquet, bathroom door makes noise, if someone else flushes the toilet in their room or walks or closes the door you could hear it like in your room, AC is very loud and not working very well (don’t try opening the window instead, noise gets even louder!). After all the sleepless nights, we woke up in the morning to checkout and leave to the airport, only to find out that the safe in the hotel room that has our passports in it is not opening whatsoever!! And no we weren’t putting the wrong code, they made us wait for the employee to come because he supposedly knows the override code. But then we discover that the safe battery is low that’s why they cannot open it even with an override code and guess what! They couldn’t find the key for the safe, they lost it! They kept us waiting and running late to our flight for an hour and half till they finally fixed it. We went running to the airport not knowing if we can make it to our flight or not. Honestly the way they handled the situation was sooo unprofessional, just imagine they lost the key!

A great hotel, located in the best spot for seeing ancient ruins and accessing shopping and dining options! The room was extremely comfortable, and the front desk was 24/7 which turned out to be super helpful since our flight got delayed! Just make sure to select the right address if traveling by Uber, don't type home sweet home or you'll end up in the Greek countryside. Also they had breakfast included which as a nice touch! And the most comfortable pillows in all of Athens! Honestly this should be rated higher than a 1 star hotel.

Lovely stay in the heart of Plaka - basic, but comfortable room with excellent breakfast included. Staff went above and beyond, wonderful attention to detail and service. Walkable to all major sites in under 15 minutes. Tons of restaurants/cafes and bars just a minute away.

My friends and family absolutely loved the owners! The family made us feel like a guest in their home. They arranged transportation for us and packed us a to go meal since we had to leave so early! Who does that? Only this family owned and operated hotel. We liked it so much, we stayed again for 1 night on our way home. Thanks for everything!!

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Even the person at the front desk on the day we arrived made sure that a taxi didn’t refuse to take card payment and also ensured we were not overcharged beyond the regular daytime fare. They also prepared a breakfast to go for us since our flight was very early, and even lent us chargers that fit European type. You truly feel like you’re at a home away from home in this hotel! Is like home sweet home totally

We stayed at this hotel twice and loved it! The front desk, kitchen and cleaning staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was impeccable. They were so welcoming and personable, we looked forward to coming back to the hotel after long days out exploring the city and going down for breakfast every morning. The staff is welcoming, always willing to help and went above and beyond. We had an early morning tour scheduled. The morning attendant encouraged and helped us to pack a lunch for our long day. The food was delicious and we were so glad to have it!! I would highly recommend Sweet Home to anyone visiting Athens. Location is great, room is clean, couldn’t ask for anything more.

The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about everything we requested from helping with transport details to what to do and see in the city. The hotel is conveniently located walking distance to everything! They provided to-go breakfasts when we left to catch our early morning flight. I would absolutely stay there again!

We had a perfect one stay in this hotel. The localisation is perfect, great and safe area. Near from the touristic places. The bed was really comfortable. Sweet Home is absolutely charming…excellent location, walkable to dining, shopping, and all the historical sites. Rooms were clean and had so much personality! We loved our little balcony and the bathroom was well appointed. Staff was so welcoming and the breakfast was amazing! There is a bit of construction going on next to the hotel that started about 8 am, but we are early risers so it didn’t bother us. We will definitely stay here again, it’s a hidden gem!!

A estrutura do hotel é ótima. Quarto super confortável, chuveiro forte, hotel novo! O café da manhã é uma delícia, com várias opções. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Precisamos fazer o check out as 5 da manhã e eles fofos prepararam um café da manhã para levarmos. Adoramos a delicadeza. Realmente nos sentimos em casa! The hotel was wonderful! It was clean, the check in and out process was great. The breakfast was incredible. They were so nice and allowed me to check out a bit late. I would stay there again. The hotel is about 10 months walk from the square and a little more to the Acropolis.

We booked for one night. We arrived in the evening and when we entered our room, it smelled really bad. Like sewerage. We informed reception. They acknowledged the smell, it was and tried to solve it with cleaning products. Of course, it didn’t work. They didn’t have any other rooms available and couldn’t offer any other option. We were quite accommodating. Asked them if they could arrange a room in another hotel near by. We only wanted to take a shower and go out for dinner. They said they couldn’t do that. They only called a hotel near by to check availability but didn’t offer to pay for the room At the end, we had to leave and pay ourselves for another room in another hotel (which was newer, cleaner and cheaper by the way) Sweet home ended up offering a 50% reimbursement. Which is unacceptable. We paid 50% of the fee for a room that was in no conditions to be used. Im a frequent traveler, I have more than 100 booking only in this application and it’s the first time we live a situation like this. I’m sure the hotel and management is great when things go as expected but quality and service is better defined by how you react when things go wrong.

The location was wonderful. On a quiet side street in Plaka. Very convenient to everything. The staff was great. The breakfast was very good - fresh and varied with local specialties to sample. We even had a view of the Acropolis from our window. Decent size bathroom and good size shower. On the downside, the room was small with limited storage so we had to live mostly out of our suitcases. There is a wardrobe for hanging a few items but no drawers. You can overlook this deficit if you are not planning to spend much time in your room. Overall, it was a great stay.
