Loved the property & springs & boat ride. The lobby is great: relaxing & a great look back into old Florida. The dining was ok. We waited longer than usual for food after ordering. The servers were great though, very attentive. I like the white tablecloths but they were a bit dirty at breakfast - like they hadn't been changed from dinner. For those staying at the lodge, be aware that all the people coming just for the springs also use the lodge parking lot so it might be hard to find a close parking spot. Also, we waited in a 20 minute line just to get into the park as you get to the lodge after entering the state park. Not a big deal, just allow for the time.

The boat tour was awesome! Advice- do not stay in Room 27- extremely loud elevator. It’s a cool elevator from the 1930’s but ridiculously loud if in room 27!

Fantastic old building with lots of history , lift is out of action at the moment due to replacement. You get complimentary tea and coffee in the common area between 6am & 9am and no other time. We eat in the restaurant and the food was okay .

Boat cruise is always fun. We always see alligators, manatees, turtles and lots of birds. A beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. Prime rib night is always good. Catfish is a favorite, too.

The staff was friendly, room was spacious/clean and the ambiance was beautiful and peaceful. We really enjoyed our two-night stay. The only issue was the inoperable elevator, which apparently has been out of service for many months.

I had a terrific stay at the lodge. My room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and it was so nice to walk around after dinner. Meals at the restaurant were delicious. And best of all was the boat ride to see the wildlife along the river.

I like that (as much as possible) they keep its original architecture and look. The springs and boat tours are very cool! Coffee station coffee was a little weak:).

Historic lodge in a state park overlooking a Wakulla Spring and run. Elevator rebuild was underway so stairs were the only option to access rooms. Check in was easy. Rooms were relatively large and quite clean. Restaurant staff were very helpful and breakfast was delicious. Glass bottom boat rides are available and there are several miles of walking and hiking trails in the park.

We had a wonderful stay, it was like going back in time. The spring is right out the back door of the lodge which was convenient! Elevator was really neat and fun to use! Boat tour is a must! Restaurant has good food, just really slow. We waited 45 minutes both times to get our food and the restaurant was mostly empty, several tables that came in after us received their food before us. We really loved our stay including our teens!

Beautiful, old lodge in a wonderful family setting especially if you want to unplug. Excellent restaurant. It does lack some modern amenities such as in room TV. Internet service is limited although text, phone and email work. The bathroom was small with only a pedestal sink and slow draining tub/shower. The room itself was spacious and the beds comfortable. Definitely the best place to stay if you’re there to enjoy the spring. Highly recommend the boat tour of the river.

Nice area, enjoyed the boat tour. The room was OK no TV and nothing to do there. Dinner was just ok and it seemed that server had way too much to do as it took forever. Opened the blinds and found the window screen hadnt been cleaned in years, looked like a dryer filter. Front desk staff were great.

Cute hotel in fun location. They have modernized the hotel while keeping its old quaint charm. Rooms are quite small but comfortable. Double beds fine for a couple but probably less fine for friends. Wish room had a fridge but old wiring might not handle it. Could use easier places to plug in phones near bed and a night table on both sides of the bed. Shower was wonderful. Shared coffee area outside room fine but need to put out coffee earlier for early risers wanting to get out and go. The park is beautiful. Hiking trails are nice. Saw lots of birds. Restaurant was yummy and convenient and the staff were excellent.

Everything was excellent... Accept no television in none of the rooms... and they dont tell you when you call for reservations and I did not see it in the online reservations. There is one Tv in the lobby playing the same DVD over and over.

The park was beautiful as was the lodge. Dining portions are huge. The River Cruise was fun and breathtaking. Negatives: you do without modern hotel room amenities. No TV, fridge, microwave, or in room coffee. If you can make do without for a night or two it's well worth it.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. There was a lot of light coming from the hallway during the night under the door and some of the other guests were very loud in the hallway before 7am. But other than that we really enjoyed the stay

The hotel and the people working there were excellent. The other guests staying there however, were terrible. They were up and down the hall all night, slamming doors and being very loud. If the doors sealed better and the walls werent as thin, it would have been a perfect stay. The restaurant had great food and friendly staff with a great ambiance. Checking in and out was extremely easy with the online process.

Definitely not a good value for the money. The very small room had 2 full size beds, a dresser with a mirror on the wall over it, small side table and that was it - no TV, no coffeemaker, no refrigerator, not even a chair to sit in - nothing. It was very bare bones and we expected more and better from how good the reviews were. It was clean though. Will opt to stay elsewhere in the future.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. Definitely my 'go to' hotel going forward when I have to travel to Tallahassee. The half an hour drive is worth it. The only negative was the fact that there was a street light just outside my room window and the window shades didn't block the light very well.

For those staying at the lodge, be aware that all the people coming just for the springs also use the lodge parking lot so it might be hard to find a close parking spot. Also, we waited in a 20 minute line just to get into the park as you get to the lodge after entering the state park. Not a big deal, just allow for the time.

We stayed three nights at the beautiful Lodge in Aug 2024. Unfortunately our car broke down one evening, and we were stranded on the side of the road. We called the Lodge and Laura at the front desk came and rescued us in her own car, and even recommended a shop to have it towed to. She, and the rest of the staff, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and really went above and beyond to be helpful at every turn. What could have been a nightmare situation was salvaged and turned into the best trip of our lives! It was a long-awaited adventure that we had been planning for years, and I'm beyond grateful that they we were in such good, capable hands at the Lodge. 10/10 highest recommendation! We will definitely be back!

The hotel and the people working there were excellent. The other guests staying there however, were terrible. They were up and down the hall all night, slamming doors and being very loud. If the doors sealed better and the walls werent as thin, it would have been a perfect stay. The restaurant had great food and friendly staff with a great ambiance. Checking in and out was extremely easy with the online process.

We had a wonderful stay, it was like going back in time. The spring is right out the back door of the lodge which was convenient! Elevator was really neat and fun to use! Boat tour is a must! Restaurant has good food, just really slow. We waited 45 minutes both times to get our food and the restaurant was mostly empty, several tables that came in after us received their food before us. We really loved our stay including our teens!

Old hotel with a lot of charm, and the location within a state park was ideal. I would recommend (especially during slow periods) that the hotel guests be provided with complimentary passes to enjoy the boat rides on the Springs rather than having to pay the standard admission fee. The food in the Lodge's restaurant was expensive and dreadful. I ordered a chicken breast which was lukewarm and slathered under an unidentifiable milk sauce. The meal actually gave me a stomachache. When I mentioned this issue to the checkout clerk the next morning, without evening maintaining eye contact with me he said 'he'd let the kitchen know'. Judging from this reaction something tells me the kitchen will remain uninformed.

Wakulla Lodge was great! The gentleman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and nice, and everything was exceptionally clean ( loved that there wasn't a TV).The boat tour was so much fun, and educational.The cheeseburgers were some of the best we've ever had. We sat outside for a long time, and watched people swimming and having fun in the water. It was wonderfully relaxing. The desk clerk that night(she had beautiful gray hair), got me hot water to make tea with. When checking out, we asked Karlin if we could buy coffee for the road. He said no, and proceeded to take the time and get us two coffees from the kitchen. Wakulla lodge should be very proud of thier employees. Thier customer service was extremely impressive.

This historic Inn is beautiful and well maintained. The original elevator was amazing and the fact that the rooms do not have TVs was wonderful. Forced relaxation which we both needed. We took the boat tour which was very informative and a beautiful trip with a lot of wildlife and four manatees. One of us really enjoyed taking a dip in the spring, too cold for me. This Inn is well worth the visit.

In the middle of a wildlife preserve, the surroundings at The Lodge at Wakulla Springs were beautiful. No TVs in the rooms - which we loved! - Creature from the Black Lagoon was playing on the set in the lobby when we checked in! The dining room was closing as we checked in, but they were able to make us a "take out" meal which was wonderful. Our breakfast the next morning was great, and our server was friendly and very attentive. We were not able to take the boat ride through the springs due to time constraints, but it looked like a lot of fun, judging by the kindergarten class that was taking the tour! Would love to go back someday. [Note to self: Try to get there before dark & be sure to pack sunscreen, bug spray, hat, long sleeve shirt & long pants for return visit -- it really is in the MIDDLE of a nature preserve]

Beautiful setting on the Spring with woods all around. Quiet setting with very kind staff. Cruise on Wakulla River was great and only 8 dollars per person. Room rate is pretty cheap but appropriate for age of facility. The relaxed feel of the place is wonderful. The staff is friendly and professional. My only minor complaint is the restaurant which is not bad but priced a little high for a place that cant serve warm potatoes at any meal. If you are looking for a quiet getaway and beautiful nature spot try Wakulla!!

Wakulla Springs Lodge is a 1930s hotel situated in a 6,000 acre state park of Spanish-moss draped woodlands. We looked out our window in the wee hours of the morning to see five deer grazing on our lawn, and later walked the dock and saw schools of fish swimming in the crystal clear water of the spring. My dream get-away!

Everything about this property is unique. The Lodge is a gorgeous trip back in time, the spring is refreshing and tranquil, and on top of all of that, the restaurant never, ever disappoints. This trip is was the shrimp & grits!

The Lodge & Dining Room have deteriorated & services have been cut back with charges for any extras that would not have been charged at most places. The Ball Dining Room gives smaller amounts of sub-quality food at higher prices. No rolls or bread is served with the meal & only 1 side is given with an additional charge for a small salad as a side choice.

We had a very enjoyable stay at The Wakulla Lodge. Shortly after check in we took the river tour, which took about 45 minutes and was terrific -even saw a few manatees. During our stay we had breakfast, lunch and dinner - all meals very great and the service as well.

This is a really great spot. Historic, plenty to do, don't have to drive anywhere to eat and relax. This was super fun. I appreciate the reasonable boat rides, helpful staff, fun diving tower. This was an enjoyable stay. I hope to come back and experience a theme weekend.

My wife and enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Very beautiful scenery! Very clean inside and out. The breakfast was delicious at the dining hall. I had the breakfast tacos. There is a lot to do at the lodge. We took the wildlife river boat tour and it was amazing, highly recommend it.

If you need tv, don't bother. Only a dvd player downstairs. Free coffee in morning was nice. Quiet and friendly place. Nice hotel restaurant. There's a gift shop and don't dare go without the boat tour. That is the highlight.

Enjoyed the natural environment. Comfortable room, but difficult to sleep due to the loud conversation from a nearby room. Impossible not to hear EVERYTHING that goes on in in rooms around you.

Grounds and staff were excellent. Only reservations were fridge in room rattled all nite They were doing roof repair outside of window No TVs. Suggestions would be a movie night in porch area one a week and perhaps work wit neighboring colleges to do a mini concert by piano.
