We opted to stay at this hotel for the week end visiting family in El Reno Oklahoma. Check in was okay. I requested a ground floor room as we are unable to climb stairs. We were informed that there was no elevator. After some time we were given a ground floor room. Our room was clean, but the sink in the bathroom was unusable due to a small trickle of cold water, had to use the other sink, which is located under a cabinet. No shower mat was provided. I went to the front desk asking to have the sink fixed. All I got was ok for an answer. The breakfast was ok. The host was very nice and helpful. The dryer was not working too. It had no sign on it to let us know so we can go somewhere to do our laundry. We washed our clothes and couldn't dry them. One of the maids there was very helpful and told us we can use the hotel dryer. Just so happen we put our clothes in a dryer with no heat. The lady there wolud not talk to us. We dryed and dryed our clothes for more than an hour. Finally we just took them out to hang dry them in the room. Parking was a problem too. Taken up with trailers and had to park very close to others that were park crooked away from our room. Also the back door to the building will not lock, always open. We had a bad experience here. There might have been some positive things here but I could not recall. The hotel is showing signs of aging and in need of renovation.

Sorry we were unable to stay at the Holiday Inn. Elevator was out of order. We were given a room on the 4th floor. There was no way my sisters would be able to walk up 4 flights of stairs. Really????? Can't see how there were no other rooms available. It was barely check in time. I didn't see that many cars in the parking lot to call it "full". Reception desk person didn't offer us anything. I had to ask if he could call a sister unit to see if they had anything available. Instead of trying to see how he could help, he told me I needed to call and take care of billing part as well, instead of just applying my payment to the sister hotel. I visit El Reno at least once a month. I really enjoy staying at the Holiday Inn but I was really disappointed this time. I realize things break down and out of one's control but acting like, "oh,well,sorry, bye" is not very acceptable. Luckily, Hawthorne Suites had availability. Trish,the receptionist there was amazing. Made us feel so welcomed. Great employee.
