The lady who answered at night was polite but in the day time there was a lady who answered the phone with an attitude. Then they expect a TIP!! when they don’t even make the bed………. The pool looked dirty, my child tried sliding in the pool slide but got stuck cause there wasn’t enough water to slide down into the pool. She jumped in the water and less than 4 minutes she said I want to go.( So we left the pool. ) again the lady who answers the phone needs an attitude adjustment. I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this motel. ( better off finding something 20 miles away if possible ) the lady SERIOUSLY needs people skills…….

We had a good stay. A little disappointed that the pool/park wasn't open. But we understood why. The staff was nice.

I have stayed here before several years ago. We choose this place because it is clean and free of bugs. This time the indoor pool was not heated. One of the mattresses in the double room does need to be replaced. We did notice that they have been making improvements such as new windows and railings. I am sure the mattresses will be next.

Should have updated the fact the other half of the pool area was damaged and unable too be used.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Honestly the TV size could be better or in a better spot. The swimming pool needs some serious TLC. Overall the place was very nice. Dont forget to say Hi to the doggie.

The pool was only open from 2pm-6pm, but check out is at 11am and check in time is 4pm. That leaves little time to swim, horrible hours. The power went out during a storm. The sheets were stained. The window was boarded up.

Beds were hard as a brick. AC was a window unit didn’t cool below 75 degrees. Pool was alright but had a lot of dead bugs in the pool and was run down did not look like the pictures. And the towels were for children very small.

The water park was a big hit with our grandson.

Property is not in a perfect shape but room was better than the outside. Swimming pool facilities were not as in the pictures & one area was closed and the actual open area is in need of maintenance, so does the whole property But not bad at all for what we needed… we had a peaceful night sleep. Kind people in the office :)

Owner was so rude. Rooms were filthy. Website was not accurate.

It was very dog friendly, but I wouldn’t let my dogs even sleep on the floor there or in the bed. Upon arrival, it didn’t seem to be that bad. It was 60’s retro themed motel. Walking into the room didn’t seem that bad other than it was 95 degrees in there. Pulled back the sheet on the bed to find what looked like blood stains. Turned on the water to the shower, water came out brown, bath tub wouldn’t drain. My husband killed a cockroach. We stayed in the room all of 10 minutes before deciding that this wasn’t the place for us. When we went to “check out” my husband asked for a refund because we were just going to go on to the next town. The owner then made the comment that our “truck looked a little too new to be staying there anyways”. Would not recommend.

Checked in and the lady at the counter was nice enough. The place looks sketchy driving up but once to the room it wasnt as bad. Or so we thought. Upon closer inspection there was candy wrappers left under the beds and looked as if it hadnt been cleaned in forever. We overlooked it as we know how hard it is nowadays. Went to bed that night and woke ip the next morning covered in ants. They were all over 2 of the beds and the night stand in between. I went to talk to the lady at the counter and she immediately got an attitude claiming they had just had an exterminater out that specifically targeted the building our room was housed in. I showed her the video i took of the ants and her response was that she wasnt calling me a liar. I checked us out and despite the evidence i submitted( a nine second video of ants crawling everywhere) i received only half a refund. Do not and will not recommend to anyone passing through. GO SOME WHERE ELSE!

Mold in the bathroom, filthy carpet, bugs everywhere, we had to go buy a bottle of air freshener because of the smell. The lady behind the desk absolutely denied a refund and told us she was friends of the sheriff.

The room was not as portrayed on its web site, there was a large gap under the door to the room, the curtain over the window on the entrance door was see through and this was the only window in the room. The ceiling had cracks in it that had been poorly repaired with tape and paint. There were gaps along the base boards and in the corners, large enough for rodents or insects to enter into the room. The room had an odder of cleaning solution strong enough to make my wife nauseous. The carpets were dirty and covered with throw rugs. The pedestal sink, located outside of the bathroom, was lose and wobbly. The air conditioning unit was a window unit mounted in the wall by the sink was loud and did not cool very well. The light switch for the shower/commode area was located on the outside of the bathroom wall and the bath area door did not close. The commode seat was so loose it slid around on the toilet bowl. We were supposed to stay three nights and only stayed one. There was not another motel in the area that took pets, a small bird in a cage, so we cut our stay short and returned home. I would not recommend this motel to anyone and will not be staying here again, even in an emergency.

Very nice staff. Old and out dated dirty rooms. Had to clean it before we could shower. Blood and dust on walls. Dirty towels with hair and dirty bed lines. Large crack in door to see outside. No bugs though. Very quiet and kind staff. Microwave, fridge, and coffee maker in room

This is a very old hotel. It had window units for the air right beside the sink, so it is blowing cold air right on you while using the sink The bathtub was in it's own room with no ventilation so it gets steam built up while taking a shower. The swimming pool water was cloudy so we didn't swim in it. It was clean though, but could use some upgrades. The office seemed to always have the doors locked so you need to ring the bell for service, but they always answered. Anyway, it's an okay place to stay if nothing else is available.

This is a quaint little place. It is not a 5 star motel. Could use some updating but served the purpose. Was clean and the people were pleasant.

Paper thin walls, you could hear conversations from other rooms. Property itself looked like a junkyard, a bulldozer would be the best solution. Mold around the caulking in the bathtub.

The motel room had a stale smell to it, no grounded plug in to charge any electronic, nowhere to hang clothes and no dresser to put anything in. The motel needs some serious cleaning and updating.

The Shamrock motel was ok. Older motel in a convenient location and it was clean. It could have used a security lock/ chain on the door. More counter space would be nice in the large bathroom. Major drawback was the Wi-Fi password did not work. The staff was not very friendly. Overall nothing terrible about stay but nothing excellent either, just okay.

It was clean but the decor was way way way outdated, I know it says 60s theme but let's call it what it is , old and outdated, pillowcases were yellowish. They should seriously consider new bedding . I' was grossed out by that. Could hear the people next door.

Ac off upon arrival, two hours to cool down, 100 degrees outside, small room. If you need a place to sleep ok, if you want comfort go somewhere else

Very nice people and quiet

The service was horrible. The grouchy lady at the desk was overly rude and the condition of that tiny room was unkept. No hot water in the shower and the desk lady was banging on the room early in the morning asking if we were staying another night or not.... I wouldn't recommend my worse enemy to stay at this place.. don't do it

We started having issues before we even left on our trip with the hotel owner running our credit card and then cancelling it so that we would have to pay in advance even though we had it setup to pay at the property. When we got there and I pointed out to her that what my paperwork from Travelocity showed about pay at property. She then informed me that doesn't allow you to pay at property that way she doesn't have to pay the Travelocity fees for using their service. Can you say scammer! When we got to our room, we found that it was clean but that's all it had going for it. The A/C unit barely put out cool air, it had a musty smell to it and the shower head was off of a kitchen sink. The hotel owner was rude on the phone and in person until she had our money then she was nice and personable. She has the property up for sale but is doing very little in upkeep to sell it.Next time we'll be staying down the road at one of the other hotels.

Choose pay at hotel. They charged my debiy card 2 days in advance causing me to get an overdraft fee. If they would of charged the day of or when i checked in i wouldbt of had an overdraft fee. If they want to charge before you get there take that option off. Lady was then rude when i asked about why and she said they had to. Pool opens at 1pm and closes at 9pm. Door says it only opens if more than 10 kids but that may not be the case. Room was spacious and clean. Overall if it was not how they charged me before i arrived causing the extra fee it would of been a better rating. Would I stay again depends if I am PAYING AT THE PROPERTY or WHEN I BOOK IT. If xhoosing pay at property then no i wouldnt because it would bot be paying at the property but days before.

Got to the property before the “closing” time. Had to ring the bell, the gentleman who answered the door seemed very annoyed at the fact we got there at 9:45 at night. Didn’t really explain where our room was and once we found our room and unpacked, all that was heard was the people next door fighting and the people upstairs literally stomping around. I understand, there isn’t anything you can do about bad neighbors, but come on. First thing you notice is how unkept and unclean the rooms are. The baseboards haven’t been touched in months, the amount of cobwebs around the room was disgusting, random “stuff” on the walls, no shower head, sink nor tub would drain, huge crack in the ceiling above the shower, and to top it off the what seems to be black mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. The pool has way too much chlorine and the black slide literally almost ripped my sons back open from the large hump it had inside of it. Definitely disappointed and will not be back. I was sure to take pictures to document our stay🙄

Had a great time. Located in a great area near all the attractions.

It's an older motel for sure but it's not run down. Me and my family enjoyed staying there for the week. The staff is great. The location is awesome. I've had no problems at all with anything there. Next time I'm up that way I sure will be staying here again. Very comfortable and very quiet and plenty of stuff for kids to do on property.

There is a swimming pool available. The staff are nice. Close to Crater of diamonds state park.

That's the main reason we chose this place was for the indoor water park. But other than that it was a good stay. They also have those little rides that stores have outside the building for little kids to ride free of charge. It's right in the middle of everything. Not many food places to choose from but the ones there were really good. If you come stay here I'd recommend eating at Terry's restaurant, it was amazing!

The property is older, so keep that in mind, however it is clean, and the owners are really nice. Our room was right next to some huge windchimes, so we will see how thst goes with sleeping, lol. The owners are very accommodating for our dog, and the nightly fee was very reasonable. This property has an indoor pool, and close to the State Park. I would recommend this property for a comfortable stay.

My son loved the i door waterpark. It is not the Holiday Inn! And I think $89 a night was steep. Our room would rate maybe 2 stars. Only a 3 restaurants. Terrys place (home cooking), sonic & Tellinga mexican food.

This was not our best stay. We felt there were safety hazards present that need to be addressed. We did enjoy the proximity of a good restaurant and state park.

Nice place, easy access and good value for money spent.

The pool was not open when it says open till 9, they did not open the pool house. no plug for the bath tub, burnt out lights in bathroom, bathroom floors very slippery when wet, no breakfast neither even after it said it did on another site.

The room was ok. The bathroom and sink are separated. The heater is ne t to the sink which is a safety hazard. The air-conditioner was very cold. The recliner was broken down. The swimming pool was brown and very nasty and the fountain in tbe front of the building was brown and nasty. They advertised they had breakfast but we did not see anyplace where they had breakfast. We wony stay there again we will go elsewhere if we ever go back

You get what you pay for, not a lot of food options. The plumbing is opposite of your typical plumbing. Almost scald myself. The Waterpark hours is terrible. Didnt get to experience the Waterpark.
