Hotel was nice and clean with friendly staff. Bummed that the hot tub was shut down but the sauna was nice! Fun to have a mini golf course on site as well that was free to guests. Overall nice place to stay.

I booked this hotel because I really wanted to relax in the hot tub but when I showed up there was a sign that said hot tub closed for maintenance. So that was a bummer!

We were impressed by the staff friendliness and the quality of breakfast, lots of choices and the breakfast staff kept the dining area spotless. My kids loved the pool area and our room was up to expectations - clean and comfortable. A good value for the price, and we will stay again.

The property is dated and staff just like they could care less. Breakfast left a ton to be desired. The rim was clean. I had seen better days with cracked and broken tiles.

When you opened the door you were hit with a dank or musty smell. We stayed out of the room as much as possible. But after sleeping there 2 nights, I left all plugged up. We didn’t ask for a different room as it is the busy season and the ‘no vacancy’ sign was up all weekend. One of the 3 staff we encountered was pleasant. The other 2 are NOT ‘front staff’ people. Got the job done, no smiles or pleasantry that you would expect from this position. The one never even looked at us the whole time she spoke at us. I know it is busy, and they deal with a lot of people this time of year, and are probably overwhelmed. But the first responsibility of this position is to “welcome“ people. They failed in this aspect. Otherwise, the property appeared clean, and up. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower shower was good and the water was hot. So overall no complaints there.

Very nice staff, very clean hotel & rooms. Basic and affordable, which is what we were looking for. The breakfast is a nice benefit with several options to choose from. Indoor pool was surprisingly warm, and my son loved it. Outdoor mini-golf is showing some wear, but we all still had fun playing! A nice addition that you don't see at other places. McDonalds is next door as well, if you need a quick meal.

The property has a great location and I was happy to receive a properly cleaned hotel room. My one grip is all the rooms have self-closing slamming doors, so I was woken up multiple times throughout the night and as early as 5am so my sleep was not great.

Room was nice and clean, if a little on the small side. The bathroom was smallish with limited counter space. Pet peeve: Not enough places to hang things in the bathroom. Just enough space on the counter for the very basic grooming items and no place to hang wet towels, clothes to wear after showering, etc. All you need to do is put up some hooks. Also a plain wall shelf so that two people have space to put their stuff.

Leah was great at front desk from the moment we checked in. Our room assignment was for 2nd floor but no elevator. My husband had just had knee surgery and she got it changed to floor level. The only small complaint we had was how small the bathroom was. You could barely turn around in it. Everything else was great.

Would definitely stay here again. Good value. Lovely room - fridge and microwave. convenient location for places along north shore. What sets is apart though from ANYWHERE I have stayed was helpfulness of reception staff in terms of wanting you to know everything about the north shore state parks. The detailed handouts they gave were superb. Above and beyond in terms of wanting you to know about surrounding attractions. Really helped us plan

Staff great!! Very helpful. I needed late checkout and they accommodated. Room comfortable. Only complaint is our room next to front door. There was a loud car outside our window when we checked in with people sitting in it smoking. Along with the noise of the vehicle the gas fumes pouring in our vent. I allowed the car approximately 30 minutes before I complained to staff. They immediately responded and issue resolved. Again the staff is great!

The room was clean and the breakfast was really good. What really decreased our enjoyment of our one night stay was that the smoke alarm in our room went off up to 8 times during the night while we were trying to sleep. It scared our young kids and woke them up too. I called to the front desk after the first alarm to see what was going on and they said it was just malfunctioning. I asked, "What if it happens again?" and they just responded they they would have someone address it in the morning which is when we were leaving anyways. Would be more reassuring to know that they were maintaining this safety equipment properly, and if staff could have done more to make sure we had conditions set up to just have a decent night of sleep.

We loved the hotel. It was cute and extremely clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The train woke my husband up the first morning at 5 am, but not the rest of us. Otherwise, it was nice and quiet. Comfy beds. Bathrooms are kind of small, but we made it work. We enjoyed the pool area both nights and loved the free round of mini golf!

We were impressed by the staff friendliness and the quality of breakfast, lots of choices and the breakfast staff kept the dining area spotless. My kids loved the pool area and our room was up to expectations - clean and comfortable. A good value for the price, and we will stay again.

Check in was very smooth. The clerk let us know that our comfort was their top priority and to notify them immediately if there were any problems. The lobby,dining area and our room was exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable and it was the first time that there were four pillows for each bed. Breakfast had a nice variety of choices. Very pleasant stay . Would definitely stay there again.

The free breakfast was one of the worst I have ever seen. Stale bagels and gas station muffins. Cream cheese tubs that said "Keep Refrigerated" were sitting out on the counter and were all room temperature. Anyone care for a little food poisoning? They also had a few microwavable breakfast sandwiches, cold cereal and a few pieces of fruit. The rooms are okay but if you want a decent breakfast, look elsewhere.

Got in late and checked out fairly early. The hot breakfast consisted of a pancake making machine and cold sandwiches and bread that you could toast or warm up in a microwave.

Country Inn of Two Harbors is a gem! Very clean, well maintained and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Even though it was totally full, it was quiet and we did not hear any neighbors. It's a great North Shore location to use as a hub for day trips. The price was quite reasonable and we liked that breakfast was included. The only drawback with Country Inn is that it's 2 stories with no elevator, so if you're on the second floor you have to haul your luggage and stuff up the stairs. If this is a problem for you, you might want to request first floor accommodations.

Both our rooms were clean. Beds comfortable. Staff terrific. We brought our own breakfast things. I did enjoy the hotel provided boiled eggs from ther little fridge. Parking convenient. There's a chance a patron may find 0 parking spots, due to all rooms in use. That did happen for me but luckily another person was leaving at that moment. I did notice the property apparently is aging, e.g., floor in my room has a slant approx 2 feet long so I need to walk carefully, i.e. a 78 year old senior who now is not 100% surefooted. This room is adjacent to the room my wife was in, i.e. my attempt to be sure the hotel is able to ID which room I was in. Thank you,

They let us check in an hour early which I thought was way cool and the lobby and hallways were nice and clean. Friendly room cleaning crew greeted us with a smile and that’s always nice. The hotel and the room didn’t stink at all and that’s important for someone like me who has a hypersensitive Covid induced sense of smell. Breakfast highlight was the pancakes and the low light the watery scrambled eggs. My only concern is during late afternoon if you’re spending any time in your room you can hear, very loudly everybody’s room door slam shut. Pros:Accommodated a one-hour early check-in.Spotlessly clean lobby and hallways.Wonderfully friendly housekeeping staff.Completely odor-free rooms (perfect for anyone with a sensitive sense of smell).Delicious pancakes at breakfast. Cons:Watery scrambled eggs.Poor acoustic isolation—you can loudly hear doors slamming shut all afternoon.Verdict: A good stay, but definitely overpriced at $300.00/night. I’d only return at a lower rate. I would stay here again but not at $300.00 a night.
