The Wren was in a great location in downtown Missoula. Easy walking to the university, or out to dinner, or along the river. Staff was helpful with dinner suggestions. We appreciated that there was coffee available at 5:30 am for those of us that were traveling on, who wanted to get on the road early.

Unique property in the middle of downtown. No onsite parking meant we had to lug our stuff from the parking garage 3 blocks away to the hotel in the middle of the night. The rooms were great.

The room was perfect from the heating/AC and lighting to the bed and toiletries! The room was also very quiet. Staff members were friendly, efficient and accommodating. A good variety of restaurants, bars, breweries, coffee shops and stores are within walking distance, and the parking garage is a block away.

There is a wonderful cafe called Black Coffee beside the lobby. The food and coffees are fantastic! The hotel reminds me of European hotels where the rooms surround a private courtyard... beautiful! The rooms are lovely and clean with extremely comfortable beds. The only drawback is there isn't free parking at the hotel. Parking is on the street or a garage a block away and it's all paid parking during the day.

Modern and bright hotel. Comfortable rooms, big shower and lovely toiletries. Good area of town for lots of eating and drinking places walkable. On street parking is free after 5pm and the whole weekend. The coffee shop attached to hotel was great for breakfast.

Loved it! We'd been driving around Montana and this was the best sleep we'd gotten in a week. Quiet, clean, comfortable room. We love downtown Missoula so the location was perfect for walking. We wanted to spend a bit less on a room, but after doing that in several other places this was very much worth the cost.

The majority of the rooms face the courtyard and each room has a large window you generally have to keep closed because everyone walking by can see in. This layout also means you can hear everyone coming home all hours. And the worst part is that due to all the windows, the train horn at 6:30am wakes everyone! Lastly, none of the rooms have closets so you have to look at all your stuff all the time.

The Wren had everything we needed, and nothing we didn’t. Rooms and shared spaces are updated, the bathroom had a huge shower, and the mattress was comfortable. We requested a fridge, which was easy to arrange. The courtyard is perfect for take-away meals from nearby restaurants. The room doors are very noisy when closing, but it was pretty quiet on the weekend (August 2025) until after 8am. The staff are great. The coffee shop and smoothie place downstairs are great, too! We’d definitely stay again.

The Wren hotel is a safe, clean, and friendly place ideal for people who want to spend most of their time away from the hotel. The rooms are quite small-we didn’t have enough room for two carry-on suitcases to open fully, not any closet to unpack things into in a King bed room. There wasn’t anything other than the bed and small office chair to sit on which made it feel less comfortable than we were looking for. The place is very clean. The bathroom accessories are lovely (Malin+Goetz). It’s quite expensive for the little amount of space in a king-sized room. The bones of the hotel are poor, you will hear a lot of noises from the rooms above -we heard cleaning services vacuum and toilets flushing. We had a dog with us and the coffee shop connected to the hotel doesn’t allow dogs-which seems a poor choice when the hotel encourages you to patronize there. Missoula is a sleepy town, everything closed about 8pm on Saturday night unless it was a bar. The staff is lovely and does everything to make your stay great. That’s a huge plus. Glad I stayed there for it helps me decide not to stay here again due to the above notes.

The Wren is a great small modern hotel. The room was well designed, the bed was very comfortable and the shower (and robes!) were great. The staff was especially helpful. There is an excellent cafe off the lobby. It is walkable to anywhere in downtown Missoula; I also walked easily to the University. Definitely would stay again happily.

Not only was this hotel clean and conveniently located but the night receptionist rescued with at the airport when we arrived very late and there were no taxis. For the remainder of our stay, the level of service offered by staff continued to be exceptional.

Very nice current property no must know fuss but nicely pointed and has a simplicity to it. I stayed there twice. I’d do it again. They were great. They upgraded us to a suite without me asking for it. It was really quite nice. I give it a high rating!

Loved this hotel. The property is neat as a pin, very nicely appointed, within walking distance to great restaurants and shopping, comfortable beds and great shower area. Fabulous hotel, with excellent esthetics and atmosphere. Room was very comfortable- bed was cozy, nice attention to detail, and excellent location. No parking on site, but overall, a wonderful experience.

Front desk was helpful and friendly. The room was exactly what I was hoping for and made the one night I was there enjoyable. Walking distance of different night life and morning activities.

The Wren was in a great location in downtown Missoula. Easy walking to the university, or out to dinner, or along the river. Staff was helpful with dinner suggestions. We appreciated that there was coffee available at 5:30 am for those of us that were traveling on, who wanted to get on the road early.

The Wren was very conveniently located for walking around downtown and accessing the waterfront trails to run. It was super clean and personalized (they asked if we were celebrating anything and would have the room stocked).

Loved it! Very clean, super nice staff, great area, coffee shop in lobby, parking close by. Only note I have is there are not appliances readily available in the rooms, but there are at least nice local spots in the area for food/drink.

Nice place but we had to pay for valet parking (very limited parking on the street). We also had to pay extra for a coffee maker in our room. Lots of dining options in the area.

Booked this hotel based on (reviews and price )for a quick overnight stay in Missoula for a college tour. It did not disappoint! We look forward to staying there on our future stays - simple, clean, friendly staff, great morning coffee, and we grabbed breakfast to go from Basecamp to go.

Convenient location, fun eclectic rooms with the most comfortable bed we feel we have slept in at a hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Small coffee shop/bakery in the hotel. Looks like a smoothie bowl spot is also opening soon. We stayed for a concert at Kettlehpuse Amphitheater in Bonner and caught a shuttle bus just a few blocks from the hotel. Definitely will stay again!

Modern and bright hotel. Comfortable rooms, big shower and lovely toiletries. Good area of town for lots of eating and drinking places walkable. On street parking is free after 5pm and the whole weekend. The coffee shop attached to hotel was great for breakfast.

A genuinely terrific spot right downtown. The room was comfortable with everything I needed. The property is lovely too with great views of Mt. Sentinel and Mt. Jumbo. And the staff were topnotch. Highly recommend.

Microwave or even a small fridge would have been nice in the room. Parking is only offered at $20 a day. Staff was helpful. Lots of shops near by.

Love this hotel. Always disappointed when there isnt vacancy. Nothing compares to the wonderful staff or the clean rooms. Everything you need nothing you don't.

Modern, cute room with retro like vibe. Comfortable bed. Only missing amenity was something comfortable to sit on other than the bed and the room had space for it. Water bottle filling station would also be nice. Great downtown location and we were able to store our bikes in the basement. Parking not too difficulty (either valet for $20 a night or street parking paying the meters between 9am and 5pm but we were typically gone during the day. Walkable to lots of shops and restaurants. Cute cafe, acai store and market downstairs. Nice gathering areas.
