I had a reservation here through Hotels.com. I had to leave early because of a family emergency. When I checked out, I explained my situation at the front desk. The individual stated she couldn't reimburse me without the agreement from Hotels.com. It took several days for Tru to provide the information I needed which showed I checked out a day early, and gave up the room early that morning. When I finally was able to provide Hotels.com with this verification, I received the following notification from Hotels.com. WE'RE FOLLOWING UP FOLLOWING YOUR REQUEST TO ADJUST YOUR RESERVATION WITHOUT PENALTY. AFTER CONTACTING THE PROPERTY, THEY'VE DECIDED TO UPHOLD THE ORIGINAL CANCELLATION POLICY AND HAVE DECLINED THE WAIVER REQUEST. After several days of jumping through hoops trying to collect the required paperwork from Tru in McKinney, they reneged on their promise. Enough for me to avoid staying at any Tru property.
