Super friendly staff, property is a little bit dated. The "spa"/pool area doesn't offer closed showers and has a lot of restrictions, spa water was murky and with lots of bugs

The property is beautiful and such a pretty drive from June or Silver Lake. The restaurant was meh, but everything else was great. The views are incredible, and the pool/spa area was amazing!

Loved the indoor hot tub and pool. Skiied at June mountain nearby. Soaked in the Jacuzzi tub in the room after skiing. Quiet and quaint place.

Its my first time staying here, been coming to June lake for over a decade. It's beautiful spacious, and has a great feel to it. My biggest gripe, the rooms. The floors and the walls are so thin and hollow. We had a downstairs room and every time the people above us walked, it sounded like an earthquake. At first I thought they were walking around with ski boots on, but at 3 am when someone got up to use the bathroom it startled our whole family, one of our kids even fell out of the bed. Even when they flushed it sounded like a water pipe burst in our room. The rooms are very much dated but I would have still given a great rating as we aren't picky about that. Water faucets leaked. The guests above us also decided that 5:30 am was a great time to get up before skiing, so most of us didn't sleep well after that either. Pool was not very warm (not a huge deal I guess but my kids wouldn't go in). Oh kids are only allowed in the pool between certain times of the day 430-630 so after a day of skiing you have to hurry up and go swimming on an empty stomach in order to even get the opportunity to swim.

My wife and I had a fantastic time. We did not get to go skiing do to blizzard conditions but we found plenty of things to do at the resort, Hot tub, indoor pool, workout center, restaurant and bar.

The spa was excellent! Danielle is awesome. The facility is super clean. Massage tech Katie was the best I ever had! Hands down. Mac at the front seat was very accommodating and friendly. We will be back for sure! Thanks!

This place is great but the pool situation is so weird, especially since a place with cabins would presumably be kid friendly. Kids under 3 are not allowed in the pool at all. Kids under 12 are limited to using the pool for 2 separate 2 hour periods per day. 1 of those periods is when young kids would normally nap (11:30-1:30). So from 4:30-6:30 the pool is a zoo. None of this pool info is in the website. On top of that, there’s a local woman who goes around accosting the children DURING kids hours because she’s “been looking forward to coming here to have some peace all day.” There’s also a private jacuzzi in the locker room, so not sure why this place also needs adult hours or why it isn’t switched so lap swim/adult time is just 4 hours a day. However, knowing all this, I’d still come back with my kids.

Rooms were very spacious but could use updating. Gym, pool and hot tub were very nice. Restaurant food and service need improvement. I suggest going to town for food. The area and location are beautiful with the lakes and hiking trails nearby.

Beautiful grounds and view from our room. Cozy, clean room. Great food at restaurant. Disappointed that spa services were limited on weekdays. No facials or mani/pedis were available. Also the bathroomi in our cabin had no facecloths or any extra towels. I expected more for $300.

The area surrounding this hotel is beautiful! Background mountains when you walk out of your room, quite breathtaking. As for the room itself, it was roomy and great looking but looking closer you can tell it needed repairs and a deep clean. We had double queens beds and both had issues. 1 bed had what looked to be dried-up blood on the comforter and the other had small black fur on the sheets, as if a dog slept there. The bathroom door is like a sliding panel that folded in on itself. It didn't even closed fully because it was damaged/missing panels so it didn't cover the entire width of the door frame. Don't think I would stay here again as there were other hotels within this area.

Great, relaxing ski trip. Clean cabin with a beautiful view of the creek. We used the jacuzzi every night after skiing, I got a hot-stone massage, and we ate at the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend it all. We will be back!

Cabins are in a very bad condition. Bedding were not washed. Front desk customer services is disappointing . Overall, if you like it to rough it after all day of skiing this is the place .

Been a regular here for NYE for 7 years . Things have changed since Covid as have many hotels. I reserved our room in May ( over the phone ) and requested a downstairs room for our old dog (16 stairs is too much for him) thought it was a done deal as it was 7 months in advance and there were plenty of rooms . Called in October to verify everything and was told there were no downstairs dog friendly rooms . I reminded them I booked in May and couldn’t do an upstairs room with a 62lb dog . Was told “ if you want a downstairs dog room you’ll have to book different dates”. Which I felt was very inconsiderate considering I was proactive throughout the process as a regular . I asked if they could bump someone else as it was still 2 months out and was told no. Not sure why. I said that wasn’t fair as someone who has done nothing wrong , finally the manager gave me a non dog room as an exception ( which was nice I guess but still no real explanation as to why my original reservation request couldn’t be honored ). I insisted they wave the pet fee as an accommodation, which after 3 follows up they did ($50). Pros : The room itself is cozy , the large tubs are amazing . The view is unbeatable , the restaurant staff are lovely and food is great. Cons: Carrying my dog up and down stairs multiple times a day was difficult abd detracted from the enjoyment. Walls are thin and you can hear all the kids tromping up and down stairs and housekeepers cleaning. Heat makes the room air very dry

Wonderful 1 night stay! It’s a beautiful resort with pond views, waterfalls and flowing creek at the entrance. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Friendly staff. Our upstairs room was very cozy except for the floor that made a rattling noise even when we tippy toed. Nice spacious bathroom. A vanity mirror and a microwave would’ve been a plus. Happy with several deer sightings near the creek. It’s a great location between June lake and Silver lake

I was a bit disappointed in the staff. When the restaurant was not open for breakfast, I asked at the office and he said oh it should be that’s it. I don’t know if the restaurant ever opened. We went to a nearby café and had a great breakfast. Our room was nice although it’s getting a bit worn.

This is my first time experiencing the area with my Family, I recommend it for people who like to enjoy Nature, and silence, perhaps the only thing this place lacks is a Microwave for each room, since there are not many options nearby to eat, except the on-site restaurant. Some midnight snacks have to have the option of a microwave. Otherwise, the attention and staff of the place is fabulous.

The grounds were well maintained and attractive. Pond with trout was a nice touch. Spa facility was very nice. Amber (?), Danielle, and Xerxes at spa, and Eva at restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Check in efficient, but not particularly helpful. We arrived early, and understood room might not be ready, but no offer to let us know if room available early. Phones in room (apparently all rooms) don’t work; very difficult to communicate with front desk, restaurant, etc. - had to go through general number and get routed to location I wanted. Front desk guy not really that helpful. Overall experience was very good, and I would be happy coming back.
The grounds were well maintained and attractive. Pond with trout was a nice touch. Spa facility was very nice. Amber (?), Danielle, and Xerxes at spa, and Eva at restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Check in efficient, but not particularly helpful. The people were friendly, great views, it was disappointing to come back at the end of the day to take a relaxing hot water shower and NO water pressure. Very short staffed. Very disappointed at the restaurant, had to wait a long time to be waited on due to lack of staff. People were friendly at the restaurant. Because of this I would not recommend to other people.

Been a regular here for NYE for 7 years . Things have changed since Covid as have many hotels. I reserved our room in May ( over the phone ) and requested a downstairs room for our old dog (16 stairs is too much for him) thought it was a done deal as it was 7 months in advance and there were plenty of rooms . Called in October to verify everything and was told there were no downstairs dog friendly rooms . I reminded them I booked in May and couldn’t do an upstairs room with a 62lb dog . Was told “ if you want a downstairs dog room you’ll have to book different dates”. Which I felt was very inconsiderate considering I was proactive throughout the process as a regular . I asked if they could bump someone else as it was still 2 months out and was told no. Not sure why. I said that wasn’t fair as someone who has done nothing wrong , finally the manager gave me a non dog room as an exception ( which was nice I guess but still no real explanation as to why my original reservation request couldn’t be honored ). I insisted they wave the pet fee as an accommodation, which after 3 follows up they did ($50). Pros : The room itself is cozy , the large tubs are amazing . The view is unbeatable , the restaurant staff are lovely and food is great. Cons: Carrying my dog up and down stairs multiple times a day was difficult abd detracted from the enjoyment. Walls are thin and you can hear all the kids tromping up and down stairs and housekeepers cleaning. Heat makes the room air very dry

I was a bit disappointed in the staff. When the restaurant was not open for breakfast, I asked at the office and he said oh it should be that’s it. I don’t know if the restaurant ever opened. We went to a nearby café and had a great breakfast. Our room was nice although it’s getting a bit worn.

The spa was excellent! Danielle is awesome. The facility is super clean. Massage tech Katie was the best I ever had! Hands down. Mac at the front seat was very accommodating and friendly. We will be back for sure! Thanks!

Wonderful 1 night stay! It’s a beautiful resort with pond views, waterfalls and flowing creek at the entrance. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Friendly staff. Our upstairs room was very cozy except for the floor that made a rattling noise even when we tippy toed. Nice spacious bathroom. A vanity mirror and a microwave would’ve been a plus. Happy with several deer sightings near the creek. It’s a great location between June lake and Silver lake

Great, relaxing ski trip. Clean cabin with a beautiful view of the creek. We used the jacuzzi every night after skiing, I got a hot-stone massage, and we ate at the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend it all. We will be back!

You can see what the property once was and has the potential to be. It's starting to show some wear, our blinds were broken to get to the deck overlooking the beautiful pond. One of the child swings outside a cabin was broken and hanging from one side. The restaurant was good but could be great. Maybe hire more staff? Start breakfast earlier than 7:30 to draw in customers waiting for tables just down the road? Nice place in a stunning setting.

Beautiful grounds and view from our room. Cozy, clean room. Great food at restaurant. Disappointed that spa services were limited on weekdays. No facials or mani/pedis were available. Also the bathroomi in our cabin had no facecloths or any extra towels. I expected more for $300.

Strongly recommend this cozy beautiful place. I got the small room but it was big enough! Has a working spa bath tub that hit the spot. The restaurant had delicious food for a reasonable price too. Just be careful of the margarita, you definitely get your money worth on that one!

Privately operated hotel and an excellent alternative to the national hotel chains. Good size chalet room with a large bathroom, amenities and a balcony over looking the fishing lake, great for ventilation. Helpful staff with special mention to Michael for a warm welcome and service in the adjacent Eagle Nest Saloon. A hidden gem a short drive from June Lake, with a large indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym.

Pool was not maintained. The chemicals were very off. Too much chlorine. White granules lay in a pile in pool bottom. I own and maintain my own pool at my residence. There was no exception for early checki in what so ever. Check out is at 11:00 am. 4 parties were asking for early check in due to a rain storm hitting at 4 pm. Apparently only two room attendants are on staff. Considering the location many people us included drive hours to get here. Advertised that the restaurant serves continuous meals, yet not open at 3:30 even for a bar drink. Beverages are in the Spa apparently. No map provided as to where this was. There are no guides to restaurants nor was a staff person at the desk when we stopped in to check on food/activities in the area. Felt very unwelcoming to someone unfamiliar with the area. Rooms overall are nice. Mostly clean.

Very clean, only one washcloth for 2 people for 2 nites. We had a hard time with the shower, no water pressure couldn’t get rinse d off properly . Also very slippery in the shower, slid once but grabbed the handle. We loved the outside amenities. The stream and pond were very relaxing and calming. Didn’t use the pool and spa but we walked through, very clean and appealing.

The place is in a beautiful spot but the rooms could be maintained better (e.g. patch holes in the wall, patch paint, no rodent poop right outside the room door etc). The restaurant could be so nice if it was updated and all the amenities (e.g. working soda machine, bar tender on staff) were working. I had a massage and the therapist (Natasha) was great and very nice. The spa is a little out of date and was too rustic for my liking but it had everything that you need and it was very clean.
