We loved our stay at the Tilghman Island Inn. We had a wonderful dinner at the adjoining restaurant on our first night, loved the beautiful views from our room, enjoyed walks all over Tilghman, swam in the pool, and did a lot of relaxing. Sherry and Yasmin were two standout staff members that took great care of us, and all the staff were solid. Thanks!!!

We had the best weekend! The staff were so kind and welcoming. The hotel was clean, quiet and so relaxing. The food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. We will definitely be staying again!!!!

This is a very nice hotel. It is small, quiet and relaxing. The grounds are well kept with Adirondack chairs and other comfortable chairs around the property. Almost all of the rooms have a water view as the hotel sits on a channel leading to the bay. You can watch the boats go by and see the Osprey guarding a nest and diving for food. Our second floor room was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom and and bedroom were large and clean enough and the room had a small balcony facing the water. The only thing missing was a refrigerator but the hotel had plenty of ice available for a cooler It is outside the tourist area of St. Michael's Island so it is about a 15 minute drive. If you want a relaxing place to stay, this is it.

The Inn is located on a beautiful piece of land that looks out on marshes and water that leads out to the Chesapeake... just lovely. The hotel itself is charming and close to being a great experience. The trees and bushes on the property are beautiful. There are a few things they could do to help the place feel a little more polished. First of all the staff was pretty much non-existent when we had questions or wanted to check-out. The staff that was there was friendly enough when we checked in, but weren\'t visible the rest of our stay. Another issue was the lack of sound-proofing between rooms. Not sure what can be done about this and it wasn\'t horrible, since most people went to bed on the early side. But we could definitely hear the tv next door and the people\'s conversations in the hall. Maybe something could be put under the door to help with this last issue. The rooms that faced out to the water were definitely more desirable and had nice balconies. That would have been wonderful. Instead our room faced out to a "tennis court" that didn\'t have a net and was in such bad shape it can hardly be called a court. They should either repair this or get rid of it and plant a garden. The current state is unusable and an eye sore. The breakfast was also not amazing... hard boiled egg, deli meats and fish paste... hmmm. The location of this inn is also a bit out of the way, but a wonderful destination if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake.

Really friendly staff! Restaurant was really good as was the service. Not a huge menu, but some really nice entries for everyone. I had the rockfish and scallops - wow! My wife had the pancetta wrapped chicken which she enjoyed also. Weather didn't cooperate so we couldn't enjoy sitting out on the lawn and watching the boat traffic and all the blue herons across the waterway. Killer place I'm sure more into the season. Hope to return either May or early fall.

This hotel is a true gem! We had a waterfront king room with beautiful views, including the sunrise and sunset. There are lots of places to sit and relax, plus a pool, volleyball net, cornhole and board games for activities. The manager showed us around when we arrived which was very thoughtful. The indoor restaurant wasn't open during our stay, but it looked very nice with views of the water. We will definitely return!

Just a great quiet out of the way place to spend some quality time. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful and available. Beautiful setting. The breakfast box setup seemed a little odd at first but I actually found that it's pretty much a perfect light breakfast. Great bar restaurant area. Would like to come back

We celebrated my daughters 16Th birthday in Maryland and had the pleasure staying here. They decorated the room with balloons and a card which was so amazing. The rooms are very clean, decorated lovely and the property is beautiful. They though of every detail right down to cold water at the pool and sunscreen if you needed some! I cant wait to go back and see the beautiful fall colors and stay at the inn again:)

The place was amazing. The desk manager was cordial and fun and gave us a tour of the place. The place was spotless. The bonus which we did not know about was the fireplace in the room! Dinner at the restaurant was excellent - a little pricey but it's Tilghman Island! Breakfast was a little skimpy but 2 great breakfast places down the road! Only real negative was the glass door to the bathroom - no real privacy but could live with it!

Inn was empty when we arrived. There was no way to a glass of wine or food. Room is clean but it has a loud minisplit and a dehumidifier that cycles in the bathroom. The most annoying thing was a transparent glass door between the bathroom and bedroom making privacy impossible for a family traveling together. We used a towel to block the door partially. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was awful. I regret that we paid twice the cost of a chain hotel.

The room and beds were comfortable. The staff and owners were helpful. The property is in excellent condition. The TV and Wi-Fi are good. Nearby dining options are limited in the off-season, however, St. Michaels is less than 20 minutes away. Our room overlooked water with beautiful sunsets.

This hotel/inn was perfect. Our stay was amazing. I proposed to my now fiancé and the hotel helped me plan and helped with the room to celebrate. The staff is super sweet and very hospitable. We had a lovely time and will come back in the near future!

We celebrated my daughters 16Th birthday in Maryland and had the pleasure staying here. They decorated the room with balloons and a card which was so amazing. The rooms are very clean, decorated lovely and the property is beautiful. They though of every detail right down to cold water at the pool and sunscreen if you needed some! I cant wait to go back and see the beautiful fall colors and stay at the inn again:)

We had an amazing girls trip! Everything was perfect and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with our lock one night and the staff immediately helped us and made sure we were comfortable while they worked on it. They also gave great recommendation for car service. Can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay at the Tilghman Island Inn. We had a wonderful dinner at the adjoining restaurant on our first night, loved the beautiful views from our room, enjoyed walks all over Tilghman, swam in the pool, and did a lot of relaxing. Sherry and Yasmin were two standout staff members that took great care of us, and all the staff were solid. Thanks!!!

The Inn is located on a beautiful piece of land that looks out on marshes and water that leads out to the Chesapeake... just lovely. The hotel itself is charming and close to being a great experience. The trees and bushes on the property are beautiful. There are a few things they could do to help the place feel a little more polished. First of all the staff was pretty much non-existent when we had questions or wanted to check-out. The staff that was there was friendly enough when we checked in, but weren\'t visible the rest of our stay. Another issue was the lack of sound-proofing between rooms. Not sure what can be done about this and it wasn\'t horrible, since most people went to bed on the early side. But we could definitely hear the tv next door and the people\'s conversations in the hall. Maybe something could be put under the door to help with this last issue. The rooms that faced out to the water were definitely more desirable and had nice balconies. That would have been wonderful. Instead our room faced out to a "tennis court" that didn\'t have a net and was in such bad shape it can hardly be called a court. They should either repair this or get rid of it and plant a garden. The current state is unusable and an eye sore. The breakfast was also not amazing... hard boiled egg, deli meats and fish paste... hmmm. The location of this inn is also a bit out of the way, but a wonderful destination if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake.

This is a very nice hotel. It is small, quiet and relaxing. The grounds are well kept with Adirondack chairs and other comfortable chairs around the property. Almost all of the rooms have a water view as the hotel sits on a channel leading to the bay. You can watch the boats go by and see the Osprey guarding a nest and diving for food. Our second floor room was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom and and bedroom were large and clean enough and the room had a small balcony facing the water. The only thing missing was a refrigerator but the hotel had plenty of ice available for a cooler It is outside the tourist area of St. Michael's Island so it is about a 15 minute drive. If you want a relaxing place to stay, this is it.

The room and beds were comfortable. The staff and owners were helpful. The property is in excellent condition. The TV and Wi-Fi are good. Nearby dining options are limited in the off-season, however, St. Michaels is less than 20 minutes away. Our room overlooked water with beautiful sunsets.

This hotel is a true gem! We had a waterfront king room with beautiful views, including the sunrise and sunset. There are lots of places to sit and relax, plus a pool, volleyball net, cornhole and board games for activities. The manager showed us around when we arrived which was very thoughtful. The indoor restaurant wasn't open during our stay, but it looked very nice with views of the water. We will definitely return!

The Inn is very tastefully decorated and the rooms are lovely. Bathrooms are large, bedding is super-comfortable. The service personnel are terrific. The restaurant is fabulous and the outdoor tables overlooking the water are wonderful. Breakfasts could be greatly improved. The little plastic boxes contained tiny containers of edibles that we rarely eat. They really need to add fresh fruit and better coffee. However, the overall experience was highly positive.

Really friendly staff! Restaurant was really good as was the service. Not a huge menu, but some really nice entries for everyone. I had the rockfish and scallops - wow! My wife had the pancetta wrapped chicken which she enjoyed also. Weather didn't cooperate so we couldn't enjoy sitting out on the lawn and watching the boat traffic and all the blue herons across the waterway. Killer place I'm sure more into the season. Hope to return either May or early fall.

It was a lovely place and I can see the potential when it’s in full swing (in-season)! I was a tad disappointed that the website/booking site did not indicate that the onsite restaurant and bar was closed for the season!

Inn was empty when we arrived. There was no way to a glass of wine or food. Room is clean but it has a loud minisplit and a dehumidifier that cycles in the bathroom. The most annoying thing was a transparent glass door between the bathroom and bedroom making privacy impossible for a family traveling together. We used a towel to block the door partially. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was awful. I regret that we paid twice the cost of a chain hotel.

Everything was lovely. Everyone was so friendly and it was so cozy. Breakfast was wonderful and we enjoyed the fireplace. Dinner was absolutely delicious. One of the best steaks i have ever had. Exceptional. We loved how quiet and cozy it was. Just loved it.

The pool closed on Labor Day. It should have stayed open till at least the end of September. The weather was beautiful. We missed out on a couple pool days, very upset over that.

Room was very nice , and access to a fridge in the lobby area was very helpful. Breakfast was a continental with coffee, tea, and juice. The restaurant and bar not open anymore In 2026 , and the first picture on Hotels is of the outside bar , so only 4 stars
