We recently had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend getaway at Flagler Beach. We departed on Thursday morning and stayed at the Island Cottage Inn, an exclusive, adults-only resort located directly across from the beach in Flagler. The inn provided a range of amenities, including beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas, as well as a complimentary breakfast each morning and a happy hour on Friday evening. With only nine suites, the inn offered a cozy and intimate atmosphere, and we appreciated having our own designated parking space. We also visited the grave sites of some of the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet in Jacksonville. The entire experience was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and we relished the privacy and seclusion of the resort and its surroundings.

This was our second stay at The Cottage Inn, and we’re already planning to return next year! We stayed in Suite 5 and really enjoyed the direct access to the pool — such a great feature. The complimentary bicycles were a fun option and added to the overall experience. Although we didn’t use the beach chairs this time, it’s nice to have them available. Most of our time was spent relaxing by the pool, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for another wonderful stay!

The property was clean and the facilities like the pool and Cabana area were very nice. The room was very clean but did not have any real usable Furniture such as chairs. There was a large window high above the bed but you were unable to close the blind which allowed the room to heat up from the afternoon sun . The chairs that were in there were cumbersome and uncomfortable. Originally we were booked into one room and they changed us to an upstairs room because of our pet. Unfortunately the stairs were very hazardous and our elderly beagle ended up falling down the stairs hurting himself and ended up in the local emergency vet's office until 2 AM with a $1,200 bill and a dog that was in a lot of pain. I would not recommend the property for older people as I am near 70 and the stairs were difficult for both my wife and I to navigate safely. Also when he showed us to our room no assistance was offered for the luggage. We had to make several trips up and down the stairs. it was not the best experience.

Amazing place to stay. Smells clean and fresh!! The whole place was quiet and peaceful. The beach is right across the road with private access. They even offer complimentary beach chairs, towels, and beach umbrellas. We will definitely stay here again!!

Very nice property. Good restaurants close by. They have chairs and umbrella for the beach. The pool temperature was perfect and comfortable lounge chairs. We stayed 3 nights and would go back again.

Five star staff who were so helpful & provided excellent dining recommendations. Beautiful property, close to a quiet stretch of beach. The rooms are beautifully designed with comfy beds & linens. Very nice selection of toiletries & bathrobes. Unfortunately, the fireplaces weren’t working & the property is lacking some general maintenance, but still a nice stay. The cafe & lounge area is super cute with a nice selection of breakfast treats, including GF options, but juice nor mimosas were not available during my stay. The pool deck is small but well appointed, a bit slippery though so, watch your step.

Perfection! Everything was absolutely wonderful. Loved the light breakfast. The pool was kept in perfect condition and temperature. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Super easy to get on the beach. Wonderful beach chairs and umbrellas. Nice towels! Everything was amazing.

Treat yourself! Beautiful room at boutique hotel right across from the beach. Great amenities including pool, chairs, towels and umbrellas for your beach time. Owners have thought to provide everything you need in the room too. Within walking distance to dining. Would definitely stay again.

This place was a hidden gem, dex and diane were very personable and were very helpful with any needs. The place was kept immaculate and in 45 years of travelling me and my wife never saw a cleaner place. We would stay here anytime.

Although the property was nice the coffee pot in our Suite was broken and after 3 attempts to reach staff I was told there wasnt anything they could do. We stayed in Suite 1 and there was a large crack in the ceiling immediately above the bed. Tub was dirty. Snacks weren't ever delivered.

What a unique property. Have no doubts booking here. Very relaxing, everything you need for the beach and well accommodated. Dex and co. are very friendly and very happy to assist. Property is directly across from beach access, and the town is old Florida, which is so lovely. Very few high rises and many great looking low rise rentals. We truly appreciated the small town beach feel and all the local vibes. Great pool, breakfast, cleanest accommodations ever, and just a really serene place to stay. Saw manatees, stingrays and lots of wildlife. Take a long weekend, drive the oceanside drive, and just let yourself get away and put away your phone. Many great local restaurants and shops. You guys have a piece of paradise and we will be back. Thanks much.

Island Cottage Inn is a very cute boutique hotel located about 2 miles South of the Flagler Pier. Check in was easy, our room was spacious and clean with everything we need and more. Breakfast was great and served quickly. We look forward to returning.

I stayed at the ICI for three nights (July 22nd-July 25th). I was looking for a peaceful place on the beach for my “Eat, Pray, Self-care” retreat. This was the perfect place with the perfect hosts & great service. The beach is literally across the street. The cafe is adorable and offers a delicious continental breakfast. My room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable—the bed & pillows were the best I’ve ever slept on. I plan to make this an annual trip. It’s far enough from the “city” to feel like a getaway but close enough to drive to in about an hour.

My husband and I were there for our honeymoon for 1 week in apr2023! We loved it so much. The room was clean and cozy. The pool was so nice and it was wonderful being right across a small street from the ocean! The showers are large, the breakfast items offered were minimal but nice to have. The atmosphere was relaxing and laid back! There are complimentary bicycles & beach chairs to take and use, the rooms have a mini fridge and good A/C. There were little areas to eat outside and there are awesome places to go around to see. The staff (Dex) was super helpful for any questions we had or anything we needed. He got back to us in a timely matter every time. We had our own designated parking space. Free Wi-Fi, games like jenga and Uno. Full size lotion, soap, shampoo, and conditioner to use, umbrella, and robes. The only cons I have are minimal but may be worth noting for some people. The breakfast has hot coffee which isn’t ideal with the weather(your room has a fridge so could DIY iced coffee though because they have an ice freezer too) . The fireplaces don’t work all year long, only during certain months if that’s important. Some of the rooms have high stairs to walk up if you can’t go up stairs easily. No microwaves in rooms for leftovers. TV has no cable in case someone would like that but they have smart TVs with common shows and a bunch of streaming services logged in. Overall, we recommend Island Cottage Inn to all our loved ones & had the best experience!

My room with only bed facing bathroom which is in your bedroom was a room not a suite. Not sure why ownership claimed that small tiny room with barely any ocean view was sold as suite? Very deceiving approach to get people to rent this “suite” out. I have moved out next morning to check in to Hummock Beach to continue my stay with actual ocean view with balcony.

There was a large window high above the bed but you were unable to close the blind which allowed the room to heat up from the afternoon sun . The chairs that were in there were cumbersome and uncomfortable. Originally we were booked into one room and they changed us to an upstairs room because of our pet. Unfortunately the stairs were very hazardous and our elderly beagle ended up falling down the stairs hurting himself and ended up in the local emergency vet's office until 2 AM with a $1,200 bill and a dog that was in a lot of pain. I would not recommend the property for older people as I am near 70 and the stairs were difficult for both my wife and I to navigate safely. Also when he showed us to our room no assistance was offered for the luggage. We had to make several trips up and down the stairs. it was not the best experience.

Not having an elevator made it a challenge to get luggage up the spiral stairs. Also being it’s extremely hot the mini split AC did not keep the room as cold as we would’ve liked. We did bring a personal fan which definitely helped. The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and modern. Close to restaurants and town.

OUTSTANDING PLACE!! My wife and I took a few days to wine down and we couldn’t have picked a more tranquil place. Super attentive staff, clean rooms, ocean view, beach across the street. Happy hour within the property, excellent restaurants within walking distance.

Although the property was nice the coffee pot in our Suite was broken and after 3 attempts to reach staff I was told there wasnt anything they could do. We stayed in Suite 1 and there was a large crack in the ceiling immediately above the bed. Tub was dirty. Snacks weren't ever delivered.

I would 10/10 recommend the Island Cottage Inn if you are visiting Flagler Beach. The staff was amazing from start to finish, every part of the inn was clean and well cared for, the bed was super comfy and the view unbeatable. The thoughtful amenities, personal service, and friendliness of the staff unbeatable. I hope we are able to return sooner than later and stay longer next time around!!

We departed on Thursday morning and stayed at the Island Cottage Inn, an exclusive, adults-only resort located directly across from the beach in Flagler. We also visited the grave sites of some of the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Molly Hatchet in Jacksonville. The entire experience was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and we relished the privacy and seclusion of the resort and its surroundings.

Great location for a couple to relax. Excellent service, great bathroom and shower, great bedding- nice and quiet when we were there. You can walk to local restaurants in 15 mins or Flagler beach in 45 mins. Great food options in Flagler beach. Would recommend and definitely stay at again. Thanks!

Island Cottage Inn is a very cute boutique hotel located about 2 miles South of the Flagler Pier. Check in was easy, our room was spacious and clean with everything we need and more. Breakfast was great and served quickly. We look forward to returning.

I stayed at the ICI for three nights (July 22nd-July 25th). I was looking for a peaceful place on the beach for my “Eat, Pray, Self-care” retreat. This was the perfect place with the perfect hosts & great service. The beach is literally across the street. The cafe is adorable and offers a delicious continental breakfast. My room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable—the bed & pillows were the best I’ve ever slept on. I plan to make this an annual trip. It’s far enough from the “city” to feel like a getaway but close enough to drive to in about an hour.

My husband and I were there for our honeymoon for 1 week in apr2023! We loved it so much. The room was clean and cozy. The pool was so nice and it was wonderful being right across a small street from the ocean! The showers are large, the breakfast items offered were minimal but nice to have. The atmosphere was relaxing and laid back! There are complimentary bicycles & beach chairs to take and use, the rooms have a mini fridge and good A/C. There were little areas to eat outside and there are awesome places to go around to see. The staff (Dex) was super helpful for any questions we had or anything we needed. He got back to us in a timely matter every time. We had our own designated parking space. Free Wi-Fi, games like jenga and Uno. Full size lotion, soap, shampoo, and conditioner to use, umbrella, and robes. The only cons I have are minimal but may be worth noting for some people. The breakfast has hot coffee which isn’t ideal with the weather(your room has a fridge so could DIY iced coffee though because they have an ice freezer too) . The fireplaces don’t work all year long, only during certain months if that’s important. Some of the rooms have high stairs to walk up if you can’t go up stairs easily. No microwaves in rooms for leftovers. TV has no cable in case someone would like that but they have smart TVs with common shows and a bunch of streaming services logged in. Overall, we recommend Island Cottage Inn to all our loved ones & had the best experience!

This property and staff is the gem of Flagler beach. It is so nicely decorated and the staff is really nice. You have free acess to bicycles to ride into the little town as well as beach chairs, umbrellas and towels. If you like peaceful and quiet this is the place. I came with a girlfirend for a beach getaway and it was really nice. The owner makes fresh banana bread and muffins for the morning and they have delicious coffee and a nice selection of tea. LOVE THIS PLACE!

Loved our beautiful suite and it was very clean! Loved having a view of the ocean...loved having access to complimentary nice big umbrella and chairs for beach...and loved the closeness and seemingly private use of a beautiful beach only steps away! One more thing the 2 restaruants we ate at for our dinner were both less than 1/2 mile-3/4 mile away! Our only dislike is we would have liked a little more of a variety complimentary breakfast as well as wish the time would be at least available from 8:00-10:00 a.m. instead of 8:30-10:30 a.m..other than that it is a beautiful well kept cozy inn and we had a wonderful time celebrating our 48th Wedding Anniversary!

Five star staff who were so helpful & provided excellent dining recommendations. Beautiful property, close to a quiet stretch of beach. The rooms are beautifully designed with comfy beds & linens. Very nice selection of toiletries & bathrobes. Unfortunately, the fireplaces weren’t working & the property is lacking some general maintenance, but still a nice stay. The cafe & lounge area is super cute with a nice selection of breakfast treats, including GF options, but juice nor mimosas were not available during my stay. The pool deck is small but well appointed, a bit slippery though so, watch your step.
