The apartment was in a great location and had a very comfortable bed. We eat out but the apartment had a fully equipped kitchen with a small shop on the ground floor with food that could be brought to microwave in the apartment. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby on a morning. I would stay here again on my next visit to Newcastle.

Lovely front desk staff, fantastic customer care. Very clean room with comfortable bed and pillows, good choice on complimentary breakfast. Very convenient location, minutes from Quayside down steep staircase to the left of the building.

We booked 4 rooms for two nights, several months in advance. Three ended up being subterranean with no natural light - windows below ground level looked up to internal stairwell. (So much for the benefits of being an Expedia gold member). Maybe the rooms with windows were reserved for the coach party and stag do with their sex doll? Passers by could look straight into the room with a view of bed. Bathroom smelled of drains, but this is a basement on a Georgian street. Staff OK, but seemed pretty much like students minding the desk. Willing enough, but I think hospitality training doesn’t go far beyond how to operate the check-in system. However it was quiet. Felt like an above average hall of residence. No fruit at the breakfast grab and go, but plenty of croissants. It wasn’t even super cheap. Stayed in many apart hotels. Been in worse, been in better.

We had such a pleasant 15 day stay at Roomzzz in Newcastle. It is so close to everything. The staff were so wonderful. They went out of their way to be so nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The cleaning service was great. It was so convenient having breakfast items right in the hotel. They even have fresh baked vegan pastries and soy milk. We would highly recommend the hotel for your stay in Newcastle.

When I first arrived, and throughout my stay, the reception staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The room itself (neo studio) was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of kitchenette facilities available. Overall, most of the room was clean; however, there was quite a build-up of dust, hair and crumbs under the bedside tables, which was a bit off-putting. There was also a sweet wrapper left on the shelf by the door.

Overall, place was okay. Convenient location to the train station, nearby restaurants & shops. The room definitely could’ve been cleaner.. Markings on the wall, floor could’ve been cleaned better, hair throughout the room (previous guests or cleaners?), water from the shower leaking out onto the bathroom floor, TV mount was very loose, garbage bin lid was broken. The view was great though

The position was excellent for access to the railway station and the quay side. The room (Grand suite) was lovely, light, large and extremely comfortable. Everything was clean.

Easy check-in, friendly staff and the rooms were spotless. Plenty of space, heated bathroom floor, cooking facilities with utensils, big tv and a great nights sleep.

Decent location. Nice room but bathroom needs some care, lots of mould in shower and cleaning in corners not the best. Tv remote ran out of batteries and instead of getting it changed as we were told it would be we had to go down to reception 4 times to get one that worked. Coffee and croissants in morning a nice touch.

Very disappointed with the service received at this hotel. I had chosen this place to stay after reading many reviews across all hotels in the city centre. Upon arriving the greeting was quite cold, we were then asked to pay for the room, despite already pre paying on Expedia. The receptionist then gave us our key and read our full room number out loud (after working in hotels myself pretty sure this is against safe guarding). We then went up to the room to discover the room was still dirty from the night before with bottles all over the place. Went back down to reception, and received a new key card for an 'upgraded room' after an apology. It put me on edge the rest of the stay that the reception team aren't aware of which rooms are clean so felt housekeeping could come in at any time. I booked this as a special anniversary trip and left disappointed, would not recommend.

Had a great stay here with my 10 year old. Staff were really friendly and helpful.We were able to leave our bags at the property before check-in which was great. The room was a great size, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. The shower was really nice and the need was super comfy! Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

King size studio on a Sat & Sun night was fabulous value. Was really impressed with everything. Bed was comfy, kitchenette was well equipped, bathroom was great with a fabulous monsoon type shower with a separate hand held shower head, large shower cubicle plus a mist free mirror. Superb! We even had a side-on glimpse of Tyne Bridge from the side of the bay window 😀 Room was spotlessly clean, reception staff were all friendly and helpful and a bonus of 24 hour coffee machine available. Fantastic first stay, wished I’d used Roomzz in York last month. Highly recommended.

They’ve got everything right. Comfortable bed. Perfect little kitchen. Silent room. Blackout blinds. Heating that actually heats the room underfloor heating in the bathroom. USB sockets and PowerPoints at both sides of the bed.

Lovely little room with everything you need for a stay, fresh towels and bedding and good kitchen facilities would recommend and stay again. Lovely little addition was the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate long with free morning croissants. Only downside was the outside noise in the morning.

Decent stay. Booked room with view, got top floor room with view over to river and bridge so no complaints there. Slightly different room configuration to photos on the website. Comfortable stay, good facilities. You get a small complementary breakfast (croissant + coffee). The area is fine, sort of in a nook in a characterful area near castle and the station and restaurants, but there was a bit of noise of train rumbles.

We had a fab time staying here. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was lovely and spacious for us 4 adults. The hotel is in a great location for getting around Newcastle. The only negative is that the room was looking a little tired and in need of a refresh. However this is just an observation more than a complaint and it wouldn’t stop me staying here again or recommending it to friends and family.

Visiting family in Newcastle over Christmas we would normally stay on the quayside, Mal Maison or Hotel du van. Roomzz offered something really private, so we decided to give the place a try and we weren't disappointed! We found our room to be immaculately clean (in particular the bathroom/kitchen areas), the smart TV hooked up to our ipad easily and the excellent wi-fi allowed to us stream netflix with ease. The kitchen area is very well stocked and the only thing really missing was a cafetiere but we took one ourselves. Coffee and croissants were available downstairs but we didn't try them so can't comment. Staff were pleasant and the overall feel of the place is very relaxed. The only real negative I could think of was the fact that the carpark was pretty filthy and surrounded by litter. If I managed the place I'd be out there litter picking just to improve the look of the place but maybe that's just a bug-bear of mine? Overall an excellent visit and we'll definitely be returning.

The hotel is located close to the train station and bus drop of point if arriving via ferry from Amsterdam. From our warm welcome by the hotel manager to the friendly goodbye we would rate this as top notch! The room was well planned and facilities for self catering perfect. Comfortable bed made for easy sleeping coupled with quiet location. Easy walk to town centre or river (via stairs). Lovely reception with seating where coffee and croissants are available each morning. A perfect stay in a wonderful city.

Very disappointed with the service received at this hotel. I had chosen this place to stay after reading many reviews across all hotels in the city centre. Upon arriving the greeting was quite cold, we were then asked to pay for the room, despite already pre paying on Expedia. The receptionist then gave us our key and read our full room number out loud (after working in hotels myself pretty sure this is against safe guarding). We then went up to the room to discover the room was still dirty from the night before with bottles all over the place. Went back down to reception, and received a new key card for an 'upgraded room' after an apology. It put me on edge the rest of the stay that the reception team aren't aware of which rooms are clean so felt housekeeping could come in at any time. I booked this as a special anniversary trip and left disappointed, would not recommend.

Fabulous location 5 mins walk from train station and 5 mins from quayside. Excellent aparthotel, helpful staff, quiet. Everything we needed plus coffee and crossaints. Roomzzz has a great concept for their aparthotels.

Decent stay. Booked room with view, got top floor room with view over to river and bridge so no complaints there. Slightly different room configuration to photos on the website. Comfortable stay, good facilities. You get a small complementary breakfast (croissant + coffee). The area is fine, sort of in a nook in a characterful area near castle and the station and restaurants, but there was a bit of noise of train rumbles.

The apartment was in a great location and had a very comfortable bed. We eat out but the apartment had a fully equipped kitchen with a small shop on the ground floor with food that could be brought to microwave in the apartment. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby on a morning. I would stay here again on my next visit to Newcastle.

Lovely little room with everything you need for a stay, fresh towels and bedding and good kitchen facilities would recommend and stay again. Lovely little addition was the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate long with free morning croissants. Only downside was the outside noise in the morning.

Decent location. Nice room but bathroom needs some care, lots of mould in shower and cleaning in corners not the best. Tv remote ran out of batteries and instead of getting it changed as we were told it would be we had to go down to reception 4 times to get one that worked. Coffee and croissants in morning a nice touch.

We booked 4 rooms for two nights, several months in advance. Three ended up being subterranean with no natural light - windows below ground level looked up to internal stairwell. (So much for the benefits of being an Expedia gold member). Maybe the rooms with windows were reserved for the coach party and stag do with their sex doll? Passers by could look straight into the room with a view of bed. Bathroom smelled of drains, but this is a basement on a Georgian street. Staff OK, but seemed pretty much like students minding the desk. Willing enough, but I think hospitality training doesn’t go far beyond how to operate the check-in system. However it was quiet. Felt like an above average hall of residence. No fruit at the breakfast grab and go, but plenty of croissants. It wasn’t even super cheap. Stayed in many apart hotels. Been in worse, been in better.

We had such a pleasant 15 day stay at Roomzzz in Newcastle. It is so close to everything. The staff were so wonderful. They went out of their way to be so nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The cleaning service was great. It was so convenient having breakfast items right in the hotel. They even have fresh baked vegan pastries and soy milk. We would highly recommend the hotel for your stay in Newcastle.

We stayed for four nights and had good sleep all nights. We like the kitchen facilities especially the dishwasher. The laundry is just one washer and the dryer was at another location due to the one onsite is under repair, so I did not use it. We like the free croissant and hot drink machine which is a bonus. Filtered water is a bonus too. The team at the reception is always friendly and helpful. We will try Roomzzz in other locations.

Have stayed in better places in Newcastle but they cost more. Overall, and allowing for price, this a great hotel in a good location. My only real criticism is that the complimentary coffee is rank, but there is great coffee place around the corner (Sorcerer) so all good! :-)
