Gordons Guesthouse

Værelset var ikke i god stand. Flere ting virkede i stykker og slidt, men det var ok til et par dage.

This is a small guesthouse in a great location. Gordon, the manager, is extremely helpful. There was something that needed fixing and it was taken care of within a couple of hours. This place is not luxury accomodation, but is really comfortable and has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Even though I booked and paid for FOUR nights stay two weeks in advance, I was advised during the evening of my arrival that I could only stay for TWO nights due to their mistake and double booking the room. The owner found me alternative accommodation the next day, which transpired to be most unsuitable in a very rough area of Cape Town and caused me no end of inconvenience in having to repack and relocate to a new location nowhere near the original location I booked.

I loved my stay with Gordon! It was clean, safe, comfortable, and in a convenient location. What I liked most was it was a much more authentic experience than staying in a big hotel. This way, you experience local living, which is really cool. My room and bathroom were regularly cleaned and stocked and the price was quite reasonable. Plus, even though there were several other guests there, the layout of the house affords excellent privacy. I never saw anyone else and barely heard them either! Gordon is very friendly, kind, and always available for questions and recommendations. He even saved me an Uber ride by driving me to the cruise terminal himself when it was time for me to leave, which was so generous of him. I highly recommend his guesthouse! Thank you, Gordon!

In a lovely quiet area, that was ideal for walking to the city, Green Point, and the Waterfront.
