The room was very clean and had been updated. The parking was shared with the restaurant, so during dinner hours all the spots were full and we had to find a parking spot on the street.

Jones Beach Hotel provided a very nice stay. The room was comfortable and provided very well for all of my needs. The WiFi was in and out but it was nothing to complain about. Perfect location for my visit.

Honestly very frustrating. Not ADA compliant at all. No elevator which was very difficult on crutches with an injured leg. No wheelchair ramp. All girl rooms were on the second floor as well. Also no handicap rooms so showering was impossible or dangerous.

No elevator and steep old staircase. Not appropriate for older clientele, especially if you have bad knees. Staff was very helpful with luggage and providing any other needs, but one still had to walk up and down those stairs. It is a unique property built in 1929 in a nice setting, but not for "old" folks. Also not enough outlets in an undersized room.

The Jones Beach Hotel prides itself on its history. Founded in 1929, it is an old building that is well maintained and clean. There are no harsh smells, mold, or bugs. Due to its age and small size, it has no kitchen and therefore no breakfast available in the mornings. The East Bay Diner is a short walk away if desired. Our room was well-lit but small for the king size bed; the bathroom was also small but the shower with the old-fashioned tub was serviceable. There is no elevator and the stairs are thin and somewhat steep but this was not a problem for me. The biggest problems for me were the thin walls and unregulated temperature. It gets noisy. As for the temperature, the heater did not seem to work on the first night so it was cold but the comforter made up for it. The next night, the radiator turned on and made it too hot for my liking. Needless to say, I did not use the comforter that night. As these problems did not interfere with my comfort or my sleep, I was happy with my stay at the Jones Beach Hotel.

Front desk was very helpful when I had a problem with the radiator. Gnocchi contadina from the attached restaurant was delicious as usual. I wish the hotel were a little bit more accessible, but it is an older building. An easy upgrade that would be useful to everyone might be to put grab bars in the showers.

The desk clerk when we arrived was very courteous. The room was clean but there were several major problems. Most importantly, the toilet did not flush and was constantly running. I brought this to the attention of the staff and it was NEVER fixed!! In addition, the internet would not connect in our room until we were ready to check out. I also brought this to the attention of the staff and was told that the facility router would be re-positioned. If this was done, it did not remedy the problem. I would discourage anyone from staying at this hotel.

Sits quietly in a residential neighborhood. Safe, very clean and comfortable. Room was updated, bright and included standard hotel amenities; TV, Small fridge, microwave. Bed, pillows and blankets were comfortable. Towels smelled clean and fresh. Window air conditioning unit worked very well. Stairs to room access only. Will definitely stay here again when returning to the Long Island Area.

The worse hotel, if you can call it that, I have ever stayed in. The hall ways are uneven and used as storage space for mattresses and other un used items. The rooms well I guess you have to see them for yourself or better don't. If you get a room on the back side of the property you can't use the air conditioner because it sucks in the air from the grease fan from the attached reasturent. The bathroom, the shower is super tight, the toilets dont flush properly and the faucet is not attached to the sink. After I complained about the room they did move me to a room facing the front of the property, at least I was able to use the AC. Reception is not always always staffed and I had to wait an hour just to check out.

First off, the lady checking us in was rude and grumpy. Then we had to go up two flights of stairs (no elevator). Stair treads most likely arent up to code (steep and very narrow steps) Room had garbage in the garbage can and toilet paper in the toilet. The pillow had a long hair on it and a short/curly hair on the sheets. The room looked like it was from 1920's. Floors were unlevel and the walls were thin. We could hear the other rooms TV and someone snoring. Just a miserable night in a miserable hotel. Avoid!!!

Ok. Look. I hate reviews, mostly because all kinds of people use them to complain, and take out their ills, on the business. Let’s call things what they are. This is a small motel, near the beach, in Long Island. It is not a resort at Sandals. Priced below average. You get a small room, with dated equipment and stuff. But, the room is clean, it has everything you would expect for a 1-2 night stay. Clean towels, bedsheets, freezing little ac unit, a tv that works, a little fridge, and even microwave with coffee. Even a little table. Let’s also give credit, to a decent private parking right next to the building. The staff is friendly, and there is a restaurant downstairs. We chose to go to Gino’s one mile down the street, heard it was good, and loved it. I have stayed at the Milleniun, in Times Square, and got the fantastic view, with broken bathroom, crappy pillow, and paid $400 a night. If you are in the area, and need to spend the night, this is a decent place. Decent neighborhood, just off a busy blvd loaded with restaurants and shops. For those that like to complain, and expect 5 star service for 2 star budget, get a life.

The building was very old, but kept in clean condition. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very small and difficult to move around in. And my TV would not turn on, which I reported on my departure. It was OK for a quick stay, but that's about it.

Arrived on a hot summer day to find that the rooms are left hot with a tiny Window AC unit that was turned off. Had to turn it on and leave for 3-4 hours for the room to just be bearable. No hair dryer. Towels felt wet, maybe they were old or just out of the wash? Beds are STIFF No elevators. Friendly staff.

Freaking Amazing place to stay and wonderful staff. I was in NY doing a photo shoot. I got a call from the hotel checking on me because I did not check in. I told them that I would be checking in late like 2am, The guy working there assured me that he will wait up for me. I had car issues and my night was so crappy. Mani called to make sure I was good, I told him of my troubles and he comforted us and told us he would wait up for us. When we got there, he checked us in quickly, gave us berverages and showed us to our home away from home room... He did everything but tucked us in.. I needed that type of experience after my starter blew lol. An amazing human being. He made us, my wife and I; feel something kinda special and we are eternally grateful, Love you Bro! thanks for being there. Thanks for caring.

The worse hotel, if you can call it that, I have ever stayed in. The hall ways are uneven and used as storage space for mattresses and other un used items. The rooms well I guess you have to see them for yourself or better don't. If you get a room on the back side of the property you can't use the air conditioner because it sucks in the air from the grease fan from the attached reasturent. The bathroom, the shower is super tight, the toilets dont flush properly and the faucet is not attached to the sink. After I complained about the room they did move me to a room facing the front of the property, at least I was able to use the AC. Reception is not always always staffed and I had to wait an hour just to check out.

This hotel is almost 100 years. So there must be some history. The building was kept nicely with inviting appearance from outside . Location is convenient from walking distance from train station.There is huge park next to the hotel. Also there nice restaurants inside the hotel.

This charming old hotel from the early 20th century is conveniently located near one of the most beautiful beach parks on the east coast. It is clean, comfortable and at an affordable price. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, as was bartender when I wanted to order food to take back to the room from the attached restaurant. The gnocchi contadina they serve has a delicious cognac sauce -- order bread too to enjoy all the sauce. It's nice and quiet around there so close to the shore. Room was clean. Furniture in this first-floor-wing room was old fashioned but fine. Overall, I think I preferred the second-floor room I had last time, even though the stairs to get up there were a little treacherous.

What a great find. I was in town for a funeral so had to find something fairly quickly during beach season, and the price was very reasonable. The building is older but management takes good care of it. The location is excellent, right next to a large park with walking trails. Be aware there are stairs & no elevator. The desk manager was incredibly friendly & helpful. There is a very popular restaurant on the premises, and it was packed on a Friday night. I had dinner plans elsewhere. This is a clean, safe friendly place. I especially appreciated it as a solo female traveler.

The hotel is more like an inn with rooms on the second floor, so you must be prepared to walk one flight up since there is no elevator. Very small rooms with no closets. The bathroom is equally as small. On the plus side they do give you coffee in the morning and there is a refrigerator in the room. Manny was there to greet us and was very kind, friendly and helpful
