The outside looks very shabby, steps at the front if you have any mobility issues. Some of the rooms have had a revamp, mine had but still very dirty paintwork, dirty shower tray, very stained carpet, missing shelf in bathroom, unfinished paintwork on ceiling. The room would have looked much better with a touch up of the paint and carpet cleaned, this would make such a difference. Room a good size. Lift very rickety. Location quite a walk to the centre its worth getting a weekly or daily bus ticket as a few minutes walk around the back are very frequent buses, which you can go for miles on, or just to the top of the Great Orme. Rooms are not cleaned towels changed beverage tray etc topped up unless you ask in the morning which I found a bit odd, but a very pleasant man came to top up things when requested to. Hotel was a good price though so if you are on a budget doubt you will find cheaper. I would stay here again if I wanted a cheap break.

On arrival we realised that the car park is not available unless you have already reserved a space (this is not made clear). The room had not been hoovered so there was cereals on the floor, rubbish on the floor, bin lid was dirty, soap dispenser didn't work, smears on the mirror, damp wall below the window and hair on the bed.

For the price paid for the one night stop off on our trip round Wales the hotel was what I expected no frills average accommodation which had a nice breakfast which was an extra cost The hotel was on the seafront and at an extra cost sea view rooms are available the downstairs lobby area had sea views and was decorated nice The prices at the bar were average if ever in the area would consider a stay again at the County

Hotel was cold and draughty. Not told unable to get food due to no chef few. visitors staying in hotel, n ow we know why breakfast was limited as most items run out and all was cool. asked why room had not been cleaned and told should ask. Jumped ship on Monday and will not return again

Free street parking around the area. The hotel took a little of time to find as the postcode took me to the other side of the block & my data signal was terrible. Check-in was nice & simple. The lift is limited to two persons so had to wait a while for that. The room was clean & had a nice view of the sea. There was a take-away & grocery shop around the corner so made it easy to grab something to eat & some provisions for the following day.

I am happy with the hotel. I am glad that I could travel with my dog. The service was very polite and nice, especially the housekeeper, the jung lady, and the lady at the reception from the morning shift and the breakfast lady with glasses and short blond hair. Thank you.

Booked a weekend break here and had an evening meal here, we where told that the chef was a 'one man band' and to expect a short delay, however it took close to 2 hours for a 2 course meal, we were advised as 'all the hot meals where being served first' there would be a further delay, finally when the puddings arrived, one was burnt, so definitely not the best. Breakfast on Saturday morning was just as chaotic, guests arriving and being 'chased' for room numbers through the dining room, Sunday was a little bit more organised, the young lady taking toom numbers was rude and 'barked' 'room number' rather then greeting guests with a 'good morning, room number please' which would have been a more pleasant greeting.

Great location, right in front of the beach and east access to everything within the centre of Llandudno. The room was a great size, plenty of space. We weren't advised about having to pre-book a parking space at the hotel so we'd to find spaces out front or in a side street. There were spaces so not too stressful. The lift is very snug and corridors very narrow to rooms. Our room was facing the beach and under the main bar / restaurant area. We were woken up 5am to loud music coming from directly underneath us. Thankfully we were tired enough to fall back to sleep and didn't wake our 10yr old son. We loved how the hotel was dog friendly too so would definitely stay again and next time, bring our furbaby too!!

Hotel was conveniently situated on the main promenade with an easy walk to the main shopping area and the pier. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself was a bit tired, and could do with a refurb. The heating in my room didn't work but an electric radiator was supplied, which kept the chill off. The food was basic fare. Cooked Breakfast over the weekend was buffet style, with cereal, yogurt, toast available also. During the week it was by request for the full breakfast or adjust it to suit your taste. Bar meal available in the evening. The first night I had Sausage and mash with onion gravy, which was excellent and very filling. I dined out the rest of the time as lots of options within walking distance.

Tiny toilet, sink & shower were in another part of the room and were also tiny. Shower had mould & cudicle had hair present in 2 locations. Room average size, good sized tv, poor view & bed uncomfortable. I've stayed in a sea view room in this hotel previously & the difference was night & day

Very dissapointed in the hotel the room was basic there was thick dust on the woodwork the hotel was dirty throughout very dated and unhygienic. The carpets throughout the hotel were disgusting they were worn and very stained . You could see a build up of dust throughout the entire woodwork of the hotel. The entrance floor tiles were rotten and needed hoovering and mopping . The breakfasts was awful and the hotel was just like faulty towers I would not recommend it avoid staying here 😡

First impression of the hotel is not good as exterior is run down and even has some smashed windows. Upon entry very clear that no money has been spent on the hotel in many years as it is very dated and run down. The room room was also a disappointment as was in a poor condition with damage to the walls. The worst was yet to come when we looked in the bathroom. Mould was all round the taps and bath. No attempt had been made to remove this as when using the shower it ran into the bath from around the taps. Spoke to the receptionist, but just nodded and said she would speak to the management and let them know. But it was clear this was a usual event and just the way it is. Breakfast was nice enough, but the only good part of our stay. Over all, very grotty and unloved hotel, which is a shame as all other hotels on the front looked impressive.

Arrived at the property, parking is very scarce. Lucky to find a space near the property. Walked in and it seemed very dated, carpets need changing completely. Looked dingy and dirty on first look. Reception staff were lovely and helpful. Stayed in a room on lower ground floor. Room was clean. Again very dated, floor boards creaking, window barely opened and when it did there was a lot of noise from people and traffic. Curtains didn't close so had the street lamp shining through all night. Bath and shower was ok. Coffee and tea making facilities. Plenty of chairs and storage in the room.

Rubbish on approach steps and in surrounding verges. Approach to room through dirty doors and many darkish corridors downstairs wasn't pleasant. Not the cheapest place to stay and did expect a nicer room. Bed and shower ok though so just didnt spend any extra time in this tired room !! Had to clear bugs / spiders off quilt cover on arrival but didnt find anymore .Outlook from room was onto a banking .... was this room the same price as others ??? Basement rooms like this should be cheaper perhaps so you could be prepared for a lower standard !!

Room not good poor bathroom mouldy also shower curtain mouldyneeds total refurbishment extractor put in. Bed. Needed sheets not a duvet and cover. Damp above window curtain hanging . We had a fantastic, large room with a double aspect wundows. Fabulous view in room 111 overlooking the sea. Really clean and good room facilities. Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and very accomadating staff who were only to happy to cook vegetarian aswell. We enjoyed the walk along the prom to the peir etc. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the room we stayed in.

The location was ok nr beach front ..the room we was given was basement right under reception all night all we could hear is people walking in & out same in morning too hard to sleep .. windows frames rotted away unable to open. ..room was large bathroom needs updating.. black hair in bath not from us

The location on the main promenade is good and close to the theatre and a few restaurants. As for the room - very poor. We were in room 50 directly under reception and all the squeky floorboards and stamping feet of everyone entering/exiting made for a noisy stay. The bedroom had a couple of patches where paint was peeling off part of the wall, the curtain was half hanging off the rail, and the bottom was literally hanging out of one of the chairs. The bathroom had black mould and tiles literally hanging off the wall. It was so tatty, as was the general appearance of the exterior of the hotel. It really needs modernising (maybe try matching taps in the bathroom as ours were odd) and defo a lick of paint.

We loved the location. The reception area was dirty. Our room was clean but the ceiling in the room was unpainted. The bedroom window was broken and cracked. The elevator was not operating very well. We left at 5.30am.

Had a lovely two nights stay here,was a little optimistic about it as had read a few bad reviews about the place, but we really enjoyed it, our twin superior room was spotlessly clean, had a sea view, really comfy beds ( I suffer with a bad back and it was fine while I was there), a modern bathroom, fluffy towels and we even had a coffee pod machine in our room

Don't book a twin room if you're a big bloke because the beds are tiny. We paid extra to go into a family room after the first night but in both rooms I never managed to find the one floorboard which didn't creak. It would be a lovely place if it had an upgrade. The staff were excellent and very friendly but the hotel is a bit run down compared to the ones around it.

We enjoyed our stay, the bedroom was nice had sea view, but the bathroom was very tiny and the shower was in need of TLC. The breakfast was good and the staff in the dinning room was lovely. The only complaint was the lady on reception could be more attentive and smile

The best part of the place was the downstairs at the lounge. Great views of the setting sun while sipping a drink made the last part of my day memorable. The thing i liked best about the room was the windows and a decent view. I get that the place was old but the hallway rugs were really shabby and my bathroom had a continuous leak. It sometimes woke me up. The door also took forever to shut. I wished the place was closer to the train station but then it would be far from the water. Plus the bus in town was unreliable. The best part of the place was the downstairs at the lounge. Great views of the setting sun while sipping a drink made the last part of my day memorable. The thing i liked best about the room was the windows and a decent view. I get that the place was old but the hallway rugs were really shabby and my bathroom had a continuous leak. It sometimes woke me up. The door also took forever to shut. I wished the place was closer to the train station but then it would be far from the water. Plus the bus in town was unreliable. Not your fault. Otherwise i was okay with it.

The property is old and has some beautiful period features but is in need of a lot of tlc since it is no longer Shearings. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was immaculate; but the shower was horrendous; no water pressure and the cleanliness in certain areas is very sad. Could be beautiful if money was spent on it

Booked in for 3 nights for festival. Parked outside so went to check if was ok. Receptionist said yes fine, and she asked my name said room was ready so i.coild check in! Bonus as I would have had to kill time. She was friendly enough, and explained where my room was. However no mention of where breakfast was in the hotel just times on room slip. No mention or offer of the bar evening meal or.food options which seems to be mentioned on the website. The room was ok, bed comfy enough but looks a.bit tired. Overall was ok maybe put info in rooms about food options bar etc feel that's a missed opportunity as may have used the facilities Dining room was nice comfy, breakfast was brilliant and the staff welcoming efficient and a credit to you.

The outside looks very shabby, steps at the front if you have any mobility issues. Some of the rooms have had a revamp, mine had but still very dirty paintwork, dirty shower tray, very stained carpet, missing shelf in bathroom, unfinished paintwork on ceiling. The room would have looked much better with a touch up of the paint and carpet cleaned, this would make such a difference. Room a good size. Lift very rickety. Location quite a walk to the centre its worth getting a weekly or daily bus ticket as a few minutes walk around the back are very frequent buses, which you can go for miles on, or just to the top of the Great Orme. Rooms are not cleaned towels changed beverage tray etc topped up unless you ask in the morning which I found a bit odd, but a very pleasant man came to top up things when requested to. Hotel was a good price though so if you are on a budget doubt you will find cheaper. I would stay here again if I wanted a cheap break.

My expectations of this hotel were low bit I was still disappointed in the general quality and maintenance of the hotel, it needs to be updated hugely. When I said at checkout that I was not happy my room had been cleaned the day before, it turned out it was my fault for not asking for my room to be cleaned. I had not seen any signs stating that rooms are only cleaned on request, so if you stay here please remember to ask. I have not come across this approach to room cleaning before anywhere else.

Rooms not ready for over two hours many guests sat in reception . Staff seemed disinterested. We get to room and on way corridors filled with dirty bedding and waste from rooms. No towels in room . Curtains hanging off . Moved bed to find dirty ear buds all over floor. Day of check out staff at reception not even a hello or thanks for stay just put your keys there while they sat off on phones.

The first room we were given hadn't been cleaned, the toilet didn't flush and there was no toilet paper!! When I went to tell the reception we were immediately moved to a much better room, with many apologies for the condition of the firstt room.

We was abit disappointed in the reception staff when we arrived ,we asked for a sea view and on the first floor as we can't walk up to many stairs and can't go in lifts, we got told you will have to go where ever we put you due to 2 coachs was coming, we had spoken to the hotel weeks before we was going to make sure that we could have what we asked for and they reassured us that everything was okay,but when we got there and got told we had to go where they put us that wasn't on at all, if it wasn't for my daughter coming with us to make sure everything was okay she asked to speak to the manager and they sorted it out and we got what we asked for in the end, but after that, they couldn't do enough for us.

At 3am myself and my partner were stood outside the hotel for 40 minutes in the rain as the night porter was actually fast asleep. I was knocking on the windows and doors and even called the hotel a few times and he did not wake. Then a guest actually come and opened the door and i tried to actually wake him over the desk to explain how dangerous it is to keep the guests locked out of the building and he still didnt wake! In all fairness to the managers they have been very good and are dealing with the matter. But if you was left on your own at that time in the morning outside on the beach front this could be really scary for the individual. If the guests didnt come and open the door i would have had to of slept in my partners van or we considered spending £301 on a hotel which would have been a half an hour walk.

The location of the hotel is quite nice. Opposite of the beach. The room I stayed was a twin bed room. Room was nice, a lot of storage option but not much spacious. I was unhappy about two things, one was we asked to clean the room and clear the garbage after first night but it was untouched. And number 2 is they serve pork sausage and bacon at the breakfast which I do not like. If then use chicken or vegan products, it may be better for all the guests. Overall, it was a nice, cozy stay and we got good buffet breakfast.

Arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a wonderful young lady, who talked us through our stay. Our disappointment at there actually being no on site parking and it being find a place in the street which is unrestricted over shadowed our initial check in. The room was a good size and clean, the bathroom required a touch of TLC but otherwise was acceptable. The hotel is about a 30 minute stroll from the pier or centre of town, which was ideal for us. The on-site bar offered a good range of drinks at a reasonable price. We’d be happy to stay again, the only thing that puts us off is that dreaded parking

Free street parking around the area. The hotel took a little of time to find as the postcode took me to the other side of the block & my data signal was terrible. Check-in was nice & simple. The lift is limited to two persons so had to wait a while for that. The room was clean & had a nice view of the sea. There was a take-away & grocery shop around the corner so made it easy to grab something to eat & some provisions for the following day.

Great location, right in front of the beach and east access to everything within the centre of Llandudno. The room was a great size, plenty of space. We weren't advised about having to pre-book a parking space at the hotel so we'd to find spaces out front or in a side street. There were spaces so not too stressful. The lift is very snug and corridors very narrow to rooms. Our room was facing the beach and under the main bar / restaurant area. We were woken up 5am to loud music coming from directly underneath us. Thankfully we were tired enough to fall back to sleep and didn't wake our 10yr old son. We loved how the hotel was dog friendly too so would definitely stay again and next time, bring our furbaby too!!

Could be a great place to stay if. It was refurbished cleaner. Entertainment was advertised every night absolutely nothing on at all. Superb staff really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great good selection and the food was hot and tasty (self service) would we stop there again probably not even though it was very cheap £233 for 4 nights for two including breakfast but really needs a good overhaul

Brilliant hotel price was decent and reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful and very accommodating with anything we need. The food was delicious and there was always a good variety of things to choose from. So all round we were very happy with this hotel and our stay &would definitely stay here/there again.

Older hotel. Tiny elevator. We appreciated that a fan was provided. We do not recommend the buffet breakfast. Cost was refunded when we expressed our disappointment with the breakfast, which was great.

Booked a weekend break here and had an evening meal here, we where told that the chef was a 'one man band' and to expect a short delay, however it took close to 2 hours for a 2 course meal, we were advised as 'all the hot meals where being served first' there would be a further delay, finally when the puddings arrived, one was burnt, so definitely not the best. Breakfast on Saturday morning was just as chaotic, guests arriving and being 'chased' for room numbers through the dining room, Sunday was a little bit more organised, the young lady taking toom numbers was rude and 'barked' 'room number' rather then greeting guests with a 'good morning, room number please' which would have been a more pleasant greeting.

This hotel has the cheek to charge you an extra £2 for breakfast if you don't order it in advance. The central heating radiators were not working and there were still the remains of bugs in the ceiling light. The hotel only did breakfasts and no evening meals

Tiny toilet, sink & shower were in another part of the room and were also tiny. Shower had mould & cudicle had hair present in 2 locations. Room average size, good sized tv, poor view & bed uncomfortable. I've stayed in a sea view room in this hotel previously & the difference was night & day

No central heating in rooms just an oil filled radiator which made no difference, given a 2 bar electric fire which helped make room bearable. An electric fire in a hotel room is surely a fire hazard and should not be allowed.

Unfortunately it was awful. When we arrived we complaint as we were put downstairs in the basement which was dark and horrible. The carpet was dirty and brown. The bathroom was from 60s you could tell it had been recently siliconed because of mould which was a shoddy awful job. The room was damp and freezing we had single beds and both slept fully clothed under the covers as it was freezing. The pictures on the hotel page didn’t replicate what it actually was really like, the pictures looked like they been taken from the Marina Hotel down the road we did a comparison. The hotel was housing illegal immigrants which kept me up all night shouting making noise banging sounded drunk. I managed to get to sleep about 4am. 7am was woken up to what sounded like a stampede of elephants above us. I did ask reception to move us she said we would have to pay an extra £84 to upgrade (what a joke) we asked if we could have a refund as we wanted to go somewhere else they said no. We had literally booked it 20 mins before we checked in but they wouldn’t budge on anything so I had no choice but to take it up with Hotels.com and ask for a refund so we could move. If hotels are housing immigrants they should be staying this in the profile. I didn’t feel safe there at all and the whole experience awful.
Unfortunately it was awful. When we arrived we complaint as we were put downstairs in the basement which was dark and horrible. The carpet was dirty and brown. The bathroom was from 60s you could tell it had been recently siliconed because of mould which was a shoddy awful job. The room was damp and freezing we had single beds and both slept fully clothed under the covers as it was freezing. The pictures on the hotel page didn’t replicate what it actually was really like, the pictures looked like they been taken from the Marina Hotel down the road we did a comparison. The hotel was housing illegal immigrants which kept me up all night shouting making noise banging sounded drunk. I managed to get to sleep about 4am. 7am was woken up to what sounded like a stampede of elephants above us. I did ask reception to move us she said we would have to pay an extra £84 to upgrade (what a joke) we asked if we could have a refund as we wanted to go somewhere else they said no.
