The Esplanade Hotel by Compass Hospitality

Lovely clean room, bathroom a little dated. Restaurant only does breakfast and breakfast adequate, quite limited in selection. Staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help.

Very clean room and friendly staff. The only issue we had is that it was very hot in there and the window wasn’t in the same area as we were sleeping so it was very hot and stuffy. But apart from that it was a lovely room and hotel.

Room was clean and staff excellent. We were upgraded to a sea-view as we were staying a week and the views were amazing. Only gripe I had was that the shower was great but too near the toilet so you had to back in as there wasn't enough room to turn - I'm big and the space to walk up the side of the shower to the toilet was about three centimetres smaller than my shoulder width.

We arrived slightly early and room wasn’t ready so bought drinks from the bar, hotels.com states free parking but had to pay on arrival, staff said they would mention this to management, then proceeded to say that breakfast cost more that advertised hotels.com (luckily we had already paid for breakfast). Room we booked had sea view which was lovely, had to side step when walking past end of bed due to small gap between desk and bed, TV signal kept dropping out. Breakfast was freshly cooked with the option of perfectly poached eggs.

The room was clean and the staff were excellent.
