Room was clean. No bugs. A/C worked. Very simple accommodations. Hallway noise and street noise was not bad but was there for sure. Very good security with cameras and lockable gate for access. Roosters freely roam and are rather vocal in the AM lol. Mo the onsite Mgr. was very helpful and kind.

Good location with plenty of parking. Host is responsive for the most part. Room is compact but has almost everything you’ll need. Only minor issue is no hair dryer

Pros: - Service was great. The host we talked to on the phone was extremely nice and accommodating when our first payment method didn't go through, and he let us check in a little early which was super appreciated. - Comfy bed - Very walkable area to shops and restaurants - Free parking as long as you get there early enough for a space and ideally don't need to go in and out a lot Cons: - Price is high for what feels like a motel, but was cheapest I could find in the area so maybe Hawaii is just expensive everywhere. - It took a long time for the AC unit to cool the super hot room (but was thankful it was there) - Kinda run down/old bathroom - the sliding door to the bathroom was broken and the shower was tiny. Overall I don't think I'd stay here again but I'm also almost 40. I think it'd be great for younger couples or folks traveling solo who don't need to be in their rooms much.

I was surprised at the quality of our stay at Yonegan for the very affordable price. Clean bathroom and shower, AC worked very well, clean kitchen appliances, and good places to eat/get coffee just a short walk away. First Fridays in Wailuku is just a couple blocks away too. Would definitely stay here again!

I rate it "Average" because privacy can be compromised due to uninsulated walls between rooms, and you can practically hear conversations from the next room. It became too noisy throughout my stay, and I didn't experience much of "Quiet Time" due to the noise from the two adjoining rooms.

When we first arrived, we were taken back. We were not expecting the proper to be in the area it was and somewhat older, we almost went somewhere else. But speaking with Moe he reassured us we were safe and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The price was definitely right. I would not be hesitant to book again.

Staff was amazing getting me .y room at night. I don't remember what his name was, but he was so helpful and friendly when I called him late at night because I couldn't get into my room.

The stairs and hallway is dusty. The room is not clean. It took us half an hour to wipe/clean the room. The amenities are great. Convenient location.

The room had a comfortable bunkbed, a small but clean bathroom, a microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, a table with two chairs, and mini fridge. Easy digital lock self check-in. The room was small, but perfect for an active vacation when you'll be out of the room most times. Located well, although the area was a bit sketchy. Good value.

Didn't stay long, very sketchy area. Wife was scared to stay there. Room very outdated, small bathroom. Ended up staying nearby at maui seaside and it was very nice for just a little more.

I normally don’t give very bad reviews, but I must share that we were very disappointed about our experience. For some reason, we have not received the check-in instructions upfront, because the owner said that his emails were sent but not reaching my address and he was not able to contact me. On the other hand, the messages via the app were working perfectly. So I don’t understand why it was not possible to share the check-in instructions via the app. So we were not able to enter the property within the due time: we have passed over 1.5 hours over the phone with Hotels.com and managed to contact the owner. Still we managed to receive the check-in instructions via Hotels.com personnel only almost 3 hours after the agreed check-in, waiting in the street in the car. After long exchanges we had an argument with the owner as we reported that we were not satisfied with the service and wanted our money back: we both threatened to go to legal and then the owner escalated to Hotels.com to kick us out of the property. Therefore we were not able to enter the property, as we were left there on the street the same day and we had to search for another accommodation. Luckily we were able to get the full amount back from Hotels.com, because the owner did not intend to reimburse us. By far the worst experience I have ever had. Also, from the outside the facility doesn’t look that safe to me, because of the atmosphere in the area. Very bad experience unfortunately.
