The Snowpine Lodge

Excellent location, nice amenities, good restaurants and very friendly staff. True ski in / ski out location at Alta. Nice extras like ski lockers with glove / boot dryers. Restaurants we're both good and all the staff was very friendly.

The Lode was very nice. They had a game room that my son and I enjoyed. Different lounges on each floor allowed you to rest and look at the view. Nicely Decorated, friendly staff. Very close to Alta, and not far from Snowbird. Would stay again. There is no village to walk around in the area.

I was not happy with our stay because they had s wedding the night we had our kids and Grandbabies come up and the Wedding party had better service then we did. The parking was ridiculous, the pool and hot tub were shut down and the one restaurant was shut down as well. I spent a lot of money and felt cheated for what I thought I would be able to use.

The best hotel in Alta, hands down. They have it all - great food, comfy rooms, a fantastic spa, ski-in, ski-out, and wonderful amenities like cookies and hot chocolate after your day on the slopes! The common spaces on each floor contain cozy couches and roaring fireplaces.

This place was phenomenal!!!!! Can. Not. Wait. To go back! The staff went above and beyond!!!!! The place is so great! The arcade room and movie theater were over the top awesome! We didn’t want to leave!!!!!!

Ski in/ski out, recently remodeled. Rooms were large, ample storage for ski gear, good bar food, great restaurant. The ski lockers had boot and glove driers in them too!! Big cookies out at the end of each day.

Nice mix of fancy and relaxed. Wonderful service from helpful staff. Spa was lovely. Enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tubs. Great access to ski slopes. But also, pricey, and limited options for dining.

The Snowpine is one of our favorite staycation spots. Beautiful surroundings and amazing furnishings, pool and hot tub excellent. Pub good for dinner. Love it there.

My sister, two daughters and I just finished a five day stay at this wonderful Hotel. I can not say enough about the wonderful, friendly, helpful staff! Tom, Jack, Carol....all went above and beyond. The hotel was clean, the room comfortable and well appointed and the food in both restaurants was suburb. We also did a spa day at stillwell spa and thought it was one of the best spas we have ever visited. You will not be disappointed to stay here!!!!

Property was stunning. Excellent staff at restaurants. We had leak outside our room that took 2 days to fix. We had to listen to dripping water for 2 days.

I stayed at Snowpine to Ski Alta for 4 days in 2024. On the plus side, it's an amazing location right on the slopes. The facility was beautiful and modern and very tastefully designed. The ski storage and locker area is a huge convenience and the hot tub/pool is a great way to unwind after the ski day. You pay extra if you want to use the spa tubs. My room was very clean and modern. On the negative side, my room was located right below the kitchen (room D2) so every morning at 6AM and from appx 9PM-12AM at night, I not only heard, but felt the noise and vibrations. I used a white noise machine and earplugs and still was woken up and/or disturbed. I called the desk to complain and was told that it would stop. No offer to move me or otherwise rectify. My nightly rate was $1,300 which did not include another ~$200 a night for taxes, fees and other miscellany. For $1,500 a night for a 1 bedroom, I'd expect a bit more. Which brings me to the staff. I didn't get the sense that they were professionals with experience in hospitality, with the exception of the bellman--who were great. I'm not expecting grovelling or subservience, but at least some level of customer-centricity would be an improvement. I ate in the restaurant once for dinner and had breakfast there 2 times--it's a good buffet. I also ate at the bar. The food and service was decent at both, but again, some of the staff didn't appear to have much service experience and were a bit apathetic.

They had a lot of problems with housekeeping which most of the people could not speak English.

Wonderful lodge in Alta. The facilities are excellent, beautifully designed and well maintained. Staff are all friendly and attentive, it’s a great place for a ski holiday.

I have come tonthis property 5 years and each year it gets worse. The location is phenomenal. Staff is uneducated or downright rude. They do not care when you tell them what is occurring. Housekeeping is a joke. Room is dirty every day. But everything is expensive.

There was a urine stain on the carpet right next to the bed. Seriously gross, and the staff did nothing about it during our stay. I am very sad to report the SnowPine has gone down hill.

Very clean and qell apointed property. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and the views while dining are swcond to none. Our room was very nice, clean and a higjly comfortable bed.

It was our wedding night. The room was wonderful. The view was unmatched. Everyone was wonderful. It was a little pricey, but we loved it.

the wifi was very poor. the snow was very good. food and especially service was excellent.

Wow what a great hotel. The drive up was interesting with some great views. The room was a nice size and had a great view. The staff was wonderful and the food they served was very nice. Sadly there was no snow but we still enjoyed it very much.

The room and facilities were very nice. Swen's restaurant was excellent with great food and service. We appreciated that they were able to move us from a table directly in front of the kitchen door to a window. A good restaurant planner would have put a wall or a screen in front of the kitchen door. Our TV did not initially work. The ice machine was broken. I ordered one of four dessert wines available at the bar and they were out of it. The worst of it was that our room was located under the kitchen/dining room area which had a hard floor so we heard noise from that throughout the evening and early morning. At some point in the middle of the night the screen on the bedside telephone started flashing for no apparent reason and we had to unplug it to get it to stop. We expected a better experience for the price. I would go back to the restaurant but probably not the hotel.

Staff was wonderful. We were placed in a room next to the public bathrooms, which ended up being pretty loud, even through the night we heard flushing. Not ideal, a lovely place nonetheless.

It's just so quite up here and thebeds are super comfortable. What a great getaway.

We regretted staying at Snowpine. The surroundings are amazing and the place is beautiful but we got no sleep and the staff have been unresponsive to our feedback. The room we stayed in made an abrupt noise every time the heat came on leading us to wake up every twenty minutes. When we informed the front desk the next morning, two different employees didn't seem to care. We emailed them and then followed up with a phone call. Despite our best efforts to communicate our discontent, they have done nothing to reach out. I understand that maintenence is an ongoing challenge and that these experiences will happen from time to time but to have no sleep all night and then get the cold shoulder, makes this place hardly worth a budget hotel. The last thing anyone wants is to book an expensive staycation and then just wish they had slept in their own bed. I recommend staying elsewhere.

Beautiful location and property! Staff appeared overwhelmed and therefore wasn't very friendly or accommodating. Property fully loaded with many hang out zones.

Great boutique hotel right on the mountain. Amenities make the experience. Great staff. When the thermostat didn’t work in our room they moved us right away to another room. Great shuttle service.

Amazing hotel and recently renovated. Ski in and out, staff amazing and we loved it. This is not the four seasons but a great spot to ski. Don’t go for luxury, but have a blast if you love to ski.

This place is the best! We love it for a quick get away from the city heat and noise of SLC. Gorgeous atmosphere, great food, best beds, pool and SPA!
