The Hotel was under renovations to the pool and spa. Also, checking in was kinda confusing. They had 2 desks. 1 for the restaurant and 1 for the hotel. Also, many areas were blocked off because of the renovations.

They said they had a pool and hot tub but it has been closed for sometime, according to the desk. So much for packing a suit. They say there is a microwave in all rooms yet ours had none. Which we discovered when we attempted to heat up some leftovers. They say all rooms have water views if you include the neighboring fueling dock. Controlling the temperature in the rooms proved to be a chore and the cable kept cutting out. The front desk was to send help with the heat but no one came and the help they sent for the cable looked at the tv and said "well if it happens again call, you might need a new box" and then left so when I called when it happened again, they just said thanks for letting them know. We reserved a room with a king bed when we checked in they gave us a room with 2 doubles which we promptly had them fix however I had to walk up to the third floor with my luggage only to have to bring it all down to get a king room on the first floor. The front desk closes early so if you need help after hours there is no one to help you except security (which turned out to be more helpful than the front desk)

Very nice place and I am glad I went. The restaurant was delicious but way too much money. The Jacuzzi wasn’t working. And it was unbelievably noisy. But all in all it was a good time.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean, smelled nice, and were visually pleasing. The view is very enjoyable. The entrance to the hotel was a little confusing and could use a sign on where to enter. Most of the staff was very pleasant with the exception of the woman that checked us in. Restaurant and pool were not available at our time of stay for review.

Property is in midst of being renovated. Site and rooms were excellent. On-site restaurant a lot of fun and very good. Only the 1st floor is handicapped accessible (by way of a ramp). The 2nd and 3rd floor is stairs only. This should be stated when Expedia is offering rooms.

The rooms are fresh and spotlessly clean. Great views of the Annisquam River. Nice location outside of town. The staff was fantastic. We love the marina vibe. We stayed in January when the restaurant is only open a couple of days a week - we'll hit that up next time. We dined nearby at The Causeway - great local spot, small and BYOB.

The pictures do not show how old a dirty this property is at this time. It smells the carpets were dirty and everything is very out dated. This is not a resort more like a $90 a night motel. We will not be back.

The hotel was clean over looks the harbor where there is a boat dock. Ver close to Gloucester Harbor and the ocean. Small restaurant, nice breakfast. I recommend staying here is you are looking for a hotel close to Gloucester.

This was a beautiful clean place. The included breakfast was the best, with fresh fruit, homemade breads, eggs, bacon, sausage, juices. A+ The room was very comfortable. It was a bit pricey but we really enjoyed our 1 night stay. We would definitely recommend.

Only one chair in the room. No towel, racks or glasses in the bathroom . Rusty radiators. Dirty Keurig coffee machine. Needs to be updated. Room, however, was clean and the staff was friendly. Pretty view.

My room was in poor shape. The screen on the window did not fit the window, so we couldnt leave it open without bugs comming in. The A/C was filthy. The bathroom shower was pitched to the center so it felt like you were sinking in the shower. The bathroom mirror had black spots all over it. The sink was craked. There is no where in the bathroom to put a towel. The bed was the only good part.

The room smelled so musty and bad we had to open the windows. There was a figuring large stain on the carpet. It was older, run down and could benefit from some even minor repairs and deep cleaning. It it wasn’t late in the night we would have left. The pictures they put in love are not up to date. It may have been when it first opened but definitely not recent.

Unusable internet. Verizon phone service is also weak in this area. If you need to stay connected or want to stream, don’t stay here. No soundproofing between rooms - very noisy. Rooms open onto deck next to fuel dock, so very strong gas/diesel smell. Very nice staff & restaurant. Can’t recommend the Inn.

The hotel located on the watewr at the harbor and it is great advantage. However, being on the 3rd floor (walk-up of course!!!) could not use my computer because of extremely weak wifi signal. The fan at the bathromm is exremeky noisy. I wish it would be possible to start the fab seperate from the lighting.

Located in an inland marina. The boats are interesting but the scenery is average. This is a very dated facility and it was not built with high quality materials and fixtures. The front desk provided pleasant staff.

We stayed for just one night to attend a nearby wedding, but we really liked this place and would definitely come back for longer. The hotel has a little bit of a dated vibe, but everything in the rooms was neat and clean, and the king-sized bed was super comfortable. The view from the room was nice, we could see the boats in the marina. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

DO NOT COME TO DO WORK AND NEED WIFI. Other than that, it was a good stay. The Wifi is crap, and they do not do anything to fix it. I rather enjoyed that I couldn't do work; however, I needed to.

Check in with seamless the young man at the desk, even took our luggage up to our room, explained all the details of the hotel and even helped to get us into another room, the following day, exceptional service, and the food in the dining is exceptionally tasty! And the server, was friendly and accommodating!

Cordell, who checked us in, was fantastic - friendly, accommodating and very competent. We were disappointed that our TV didn't work - even when we added new batteries to the remote.

The Front Desk person, Amy, saw that we were having some difficulty walking after a long trip to the hotel, and offered to upgrade our room from the one reserved on the third floor, to a newly upgraded room on the first floor, so that we didn't have to worry about climbing two flights of stairs. This was deeply appreciated. Thank you Amy!

Hotel is dated and needs overhaul. However, near Gloucester and we were able to walk to the town and whale watching tour. The restaurant is popular with nice views. Service was poor - the starter and main meals arrived same time - we asked for the main to come later and they said they would keep it warm! It arrived whilst we were still on our starter. We weren’t offered dessert - only the bill. We said we wanted to stay longer and enjoy a drink - we ordered another drink and it arrived with the final bill so we decided to leave. Not sure if they needed our table but poor service regardless. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Outdated rooms and the check in staff was very stressed about the current changes with key locks and this was evident in her short, angry and unprofessional demeanor. Will definitely be sure to not recommend this place for friends visiting the area..very disappointing from start to finish.

We arrived late to check in for our wedding weekend and the staff were very patiently waiting for us when we arrived around 10pm. I’m not sure if I signed away the benefit of room service, but I wish they had confirmed before sending us off to our room and expecting, but not receiving, housekeeping. We ran out of towels and coffee, but we were able to get some at the front desk. The drain to the sink in our room was broken and we left a note, expecting housekeeping to see it l, but they obviously never came lol Everyone was very friendly, though they did give my sister a hard time about joining us in the pool because we were approaching our check out time (we had already checked out/were out of our rooms and thought that, like our experiences in other hotels, the amenities would still be available for the day. We did continue to swim because nobody else was in the area or wanting to use it.. There are occupancy limits based on your room’s occupancy It was a great place to stay, otherwise. The view is amazing, even for a native Gloucester girl such as myself!

We arrived late to check in for our wedding weekend and the staff were very patiently waiting for us when we arrived around 10pm. I’m not sure if I signed away the benefit of room service, but I wish they had confirmed before sending us off to our room and expecting, but not receiving, housekeeping. We ran out of towels and coffee, but we were able to get some at the front desk. The drain to the sink in our room was broken and we left a note, expecting housekeeping to see it l, but they obviously never came lol Everyone was very friendly, though they did give my sister a hard time about joining us in the pool because we were approaching our check out time (we had already checked out/were out of our rooms and thought that, like our experiences in other hotels, the amenities would still be available for the day. Tracy went above and beyond to help us get a first floor room when there wasn’t one available. Stairs are a challenge for us right now so it was much appreciated that she was successful in getting a person booked on the second floor to swap with us. Much appreciated. Very kind. The hotel and its customers are very lucky to have her. We will definitely try and stay here again next time we come to Gloucester. The views from every room are awesome!

Dead bug in corner of room. Humid in room making tile floor slick as you entered from outside. Not enough towels and waited over 45 min to get additional towels. Dinner service was poor. Waitress took 20 min to bring spoons to eat ice cream. I could go on.

They were fully booked for 4th of July and could not get me in at the time I wanted before stabdard check in but took my number and called me as soon as the room was available. They were very polite and worked very hard to make me comfortable. Also the in house restaurant is lovely. Breakfast was huge and came in under 20 bucks for a large plate that was delicious.

Hotel is dated and needs overhaul. However, near Gloucester and we were able to walk to the town and whale watching tour. The restaurant is popular with nice views. Service was poor - the starter and main meals arrived same time - we asked for the main to come later and they said they would keep it warm! It arrived whilst we were still on our starter. We weren’t offered dessert - only the bill. We said we wanted to stay longer and enjoy a drink - we ordered another drink and it arrived with the final bill so we decided to leave. Not sure if they needed our table but poor service regardless. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was beautifully located on the water with two water views — the harbor and the river. Our room had a balcony looking out on the River that flows through the marshes out to the channel. The restaurant was fabulous. The food was great and so were the cocktails. The service was super friendly and upbeat and we enjoyed staying there very much. Very close to where you go for the whale watches.

Great, safe hotel with parking for guests. Beautiful views with quality restaurant on site. When breakfast is available it is excellent. Room was clean with great beds (slept like a rock). Great view of the boats. The only 4 star part of the property is the distance to walk to downtown. Need to drive or Uber. To far to walk but they can't help that. Would stay again for sure!

Excellent location, friendly helpful staff, excellent restaurant and bar onsite. The hotel is under a remodel however this really did not affect our stay. Rooms are a bit dated and this remodel will obviously addeess that. Would definitely stay again.

Construction was being done on my floor. Ceiling wires were exposed and low hanging. At the restaurant mile marker one I inquired if the calamari was fresh. My server did not know so they asked the other server who explained that yes it was. Upon receiving my calamari dish it was not in fact fresh. As a seafood specialist I knew it was frozen. So I was lied to by inexperienced staff. If they had just said no it’s frozen then there wouldn’t have been any issues. Following morning at breakfast at mile marker one in ordered French toast with bacon. French toast was good. Bacon had hair in it. I sent it back and was still charged for it. Overall stay 5 out of 10.

I believe they’re in the middle of trying to update rooms as they are available. Our room, however did not feel very clean. The carpet in our room felt moist and dirty. I encourage small boutique hotels. The pool was great! The views of the marina were amazing. Staff was great. The continental breakfast was awful, and the dinner at the restaurant on site was subpar. The beer and wine selection was great.

We loved our stay at the Hotel at Cape Ann Marina. It was nice being able to stay in and have dinner and drinks at the restaurant. Beautiful views of the marina. Great selection of a hot breakfast and fresh fruits. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff was friendly and welcoming....food was great, location was great. Only bad issue was the pillows kinda sucked. We were not comfortable with them or the bed at all...and OMG, the a/c was extremely loud! To be honest, in my opinion, being at a marina where there are hundreds of expensive boats and people with $$, I assumed the room would be a bit more on the higher end of the scale for the price. While the room was clean, the plastic/rubber molding that made up the baseboards were all coming off and around the mirror the same plastic/rubber frame was falling off. The sink faucet was loose and wobbly as was the toilet handle to flush. Kinda weird and kinda cheap. Lots of little flies in the room too. We managed to get rid of them all but I guess that is to be expected on the water. And then there was the loud person above us, sounding like they were rearranging furniture at 3 or 5am, every day, then again at 7am - they slammed something so hard the ceiling light shook! We did yell up to them to knock it off, but it didn't make a difference, they did it anyway, every day. Probably should have complained to the front desk, but didn't want to start a fight. We have stayed at nicer, quieter places for less money. But, overall, it was a good stay.

I would recommend that they leave their fire pits on longer, they are on a timer and go out about 9:30pm. The bathroom facilities are in the pool area which makes for a lot of traffic coming from the restaurant and outside bar/restaurant area. They close the bar/restaurant, at 10:00pm,
