The Inn itself was clean with plenty of parking, however, we stayed during a local power outage and were dismayed to discover there was no generator. We checked in at 3pm and ended up leaving by 9pm when it was apparent that the power would not be returning. We choose to drive through the night without sleep instead of staying in a hot, pitch-dark room where the street noise was even louder without the AC unit or TV to drown it out. I did try and contact the property through Expedia afterwards to see if they would offer a partial refund and got no response.

The Inn itself was clean with plenty of parking, however, we stayed during a local power outage and were dismayed to discover there was no generator. We choose to drive through the night without sleep instead of staying in a hot, pitch-dark room where the street noise was even louder without the AC unit or TV to drown it out. While this property looks like it is from the 1960s or 1970s, it has been extensively update. Everything is clean & in very good shape. The person checking us in was friendly & professional. And the price is very good for the quality. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here one night on my way to Maryland from Alabama. Older property that has been very well maintained. Rooms are very well appointed with a lovely mural, plenty of nice lamps with good lighting, mini fridge, microwave, and my personal favorite—the dimmable reading lights above the headboard. That was such a nice touch. The room and bath were very clean. I have asthma and often wake up coughing when I stay in hotels—even newer properties. I had no problems at all here. The staff is super friendly and helpful, too. I hope I have a chance to stay here again sometime and explore the area.

Amazing for comfort, price, forest view, ease of check in/out, quiet, clean and terrific maid service. The owner/manager for 25 yrs (Preeti) knows how to run a unique hotel experience. You can tell she loves he hotel business & the clients. She can make you feel welcome & comfortable even for a short stay. The location is so easy and affordable to drive to and from Lynchburg and Richmond airport.

The room was spacious, clean and the view was to die for. Staff was extremely accommodating as we actually were able to get two extra nights. This place was conveniently located to the stores, vineyards, breweries, Skyline Drive, Monticello and many other activities and attractions. Not to mention the history of the area. Perfect sport to get away relax any enjoy yourself.

Check-in was so nice and I think this was the quietest motel I've ever stayed in. Everything was very neat and clean. A/C was wonderful. Beds were the only noticeable oddities. I discovered some time in the middle of the night that the bottom sheet didn't cover the foot of the bed, not because it had come loose but because the bed was made that way with a few inches uncovered by the bottom sheet. But the bed was still comfortable enough.

We booked last minute and this was the most affordable due to the wine festival. It was ok for a night but not somewhere I would want to stay for a vacation. Beds are full size. Not Queen. And they are the old spring mattresses that bounce up and down. The room was decently clean on the surface but had not been deep cleaned in a while. The remote control was nasty so I cleaned it with Lysol wipes I had brought with me and there was black crusted dirt between the buttons. The shower tub combo was child size and I’m a bigger size person so had to touch the shower curtain while taking a shower. The commode also child size sat almost on the floor and smaller than regular size. Had to stand up to wipe or your hand touched the water in the toilet bowl. TV only had a few channels and those were fuzzy. But we survived for one night and it wasn’t terrible bad over all. We are just accustomed to more updated facilities.

Very thankful that we chose the Village Inn for this trip. After a long day, this was a peaceful and welcoming spot to relax. Extremely clean. Very well-maintained and cute property. Sam, the General Manager, is more than kind. You can tell immediately that he cares about his guests and the property. This morning, however, Sam went over and above: we came out to find a dead car battery; Sam did not hesitate to run and bring his own vehicle around for a jump. Thanks to him, we were able to safely get to the AutoZone that he recommended for a replacement and safe ride home. Cannot thank you enough, Sam! Do not hesitate to book-in here. The only thing I will mention is that the wifi can be a bit spotty if you’re in the back of the property—at least if you’re on an Apple product like me. If this matters to you, just download a few things from Netflix/YouTube ahead of time. ;-)

Great little place in the mountains! Very quiet and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The theme is vintage with murals of mountain scenes in the room - really cute and harkens back to the road travel days of the 60s. There’s an Italian place with kid-friendly meals across the street and a craft brewery that serves BBQ and pizza nearby too.

The inn was very quiet and conveniently located to the venue where we were attending a wedding. It was nice not to have to drive over thirty minutes for our stay. Also, it was convenient for us to check in at 2 and not 3 or 4 like others we looked into.

Beautiful views, conveniently located to all of the local attractions and destinations. Quiet with large rooms and ample parking. Wonderful staff!

The Village Inn was decent for rates, clean enough. no fitted sheets and didnt make it work with the flats but we only stayed 1 night. It was quaint & close to the wedding we were going to.

Amazing for comfort, price, forest view, ease of check in/out, quiet, clean and terrific maid service. The owner/manager for 25 yrs (Preeti) knows how to run a unique hotel experience. You can tell she loves he hotel business & the clients. She can make you feel welcome & comfortable even for a short stay. The location is so easy and affordable to drive to and from Lynchburg and Richmond airport.

Great little place in the mountains! Very quiet and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The theme is vintage with murals of mountain scenes in the room - really cute and harkens back to the road travel days of the 60s. There’s an Italian place with kid-friendly meals across the street and a craft brewery that serves BBQ and pizza nearby too.

We enjoyed how well kept and clean everything was, as well as how quaint and quiet it was. An included continental breakfast and coffee would've been nice. The hot water for showers got cold pretty quickly. The cable tv was snowy for a good portion of the channels. Overall, we appreciated the cleanliness, niceness and quietness of the property and would definitely consider staying there again.

The property was clean and nice. There's no breakfast, but there is a Food Lion and McDonald's right nearby. The staff was nice and hospitable, as well. Nice, simple place to stay.

Smooth check-in, room was VERY clean, good heat, plenty of hot water, very quiet. Only disappointment was no coffee maker in the room. Pics on-line show a coffee maker, so we had assumed there was one.

We enjoyed our stay! The room was clean, the staff were very personable, air conditioning was great! If we are any near the Village Inn in the future we would definitely stay there!!!

Stay was great. The hotel room looked and smelled very clean. Hotel is a little out dated but it was very nice place to stay. Staff was incredibly friendly, would definitely stay again.

The office manager was friendly and helpful. The room we had was on the back side with a beautiful view of the country side and very quiet. Out of all the motels I have slept in this one was the most restful one. It was clean and well kept. Air conditioning/heat were not overly noisy. We went to a place called Chicken Cook at the Exon station about a quarter of a mile or so up the road. Best fried chicken and sides, move over KFC! I would definitely stay at this motel again. Top rate!
