It's a very quiet place. Facilities looks old but they are functional and clean. The bed is comfortable. There is also a common room with fridge and microwave oven so that you can prepare a simple meal. It's a good place where you can rest your body.

Motel un peu 'dans son jus', mais c'est le côté typique ! Dans le petit hameau de Ivy lea. Motel tel qu'on les voit dans les films américains ..marrant ! Chambre un peu vétuste mais propre et bien équipée Parking -bien sur- devant la chambre Endroit calme et reposant a deux pas du saint Laurent et a 100 mètres du départ des croisières des mille iles (bien pratique)!

An excellent location for Sup, cycling but no later evening dinning option. We did Sup under beautiful sunset, the view is amazing; came back in dark with no restaurant open nearby. Hotel has BBQ and simple kitchen. Near water front trial, cycling towards west direction, restaurant, Cosmo camping , thousand island province park are all close by . Overall it’s still a nice staying.

Written with tariff in mind and general characteristics that we like. COMPLIMENTARY TEA AND COFFEE freely available; including a shared kitchen. Very comfortable, clean throughout. Good water pressure and toiletries thrown in. Great very quiet location just off main road and heaps of bicycle storage including undercover. Many many kilometres of off road sealed cycle available at the front door.

An average finish and decor inside the cramped room, nice to have a fridge. The main kitchen as such was opposite, this to be shared by a potential of 14 different parties. Clean sheets, pillows and shower to be fair.

I really like that room 2 is open for all the guests to use. Making breakfast, we had great conversations with the others. It would have been nice to have access to a spot near the water to watch the sunset.

Check in was quick and easy. However, the room was pretty dirty starting from the floor to the beds. My friend found a tick in her leg after lying in the bed for a bit so not sure if that came from outside or the bed itself because when we lifted up the pillows, we saw several other bugs like mosquitoes and flies. Clearly, the place is not cleaned well and I am hoping I didn't bring back any bed bugs. On top of that, there was a storm overnight and we lost power at 3 am. This meant that when we woke up at 7:30 am, there was no electricity, running water or internet. I tried to contact the front desk but noone answered. We could hear generators working all around our motel but ours was not attended to at all. We checked out early to try and freshen up elsewhere. Definitely avoid this place!

I've been traveling to Canada for the past week. Out of all that, this place was the worst. So far, Expedia has chosen accommodation based on ratings, the worst of all. Leaving a review for the first time. I hope no one goes to this accommodation. When I got to the accommodation first, there was a car in the parking lot. From this point on, I didn't feel good. There was no one and only Bell was stuck at the check-in office. It rang at least six times, but no one came. I was able to get my phone number and pass through. I knew later, but you only did this. The exterior of the office was a pile of laundry behind messy paper on my laptop and desk. I got the key. I only got one key. When I woke up, I felt like I could sleep overnight, but it smelled so bad. When I opened the door and ventilated it, the bed was full of dust. When I lifted the sheet, there were dry grass or pieces of wood attached to it. Both beds were stuck together. I wasn't sure if I could go back and sleep well. Walking by, I saw a motel called Comfort. We went in and asked if there was a room, and fortunately, there was one. I went back, packed it up and checked out. There was no one in the office yet, and when I called, they told me to leave my keys in my room. I ran away within two hours of arriving. Do not be photographed. Do not go here. Clean accommodation is a valuable accommodation for tired travel.

It was good, rooms were smelly like damp wood and has some mosquitos as well. No repellents were provided to prevent that. Since it is a budget friendly stay so can be ignored.

A roof over our heads but everything else was mediocre. Office was a mess - a sign that ambiance is low priority. Room was cramped, outlets in inconvenient locations, clean but grungy bathroom, difficult to operate wall ac unit. No directions given for how to check out so we had to ring the bell and wake the proprietor for a 7:30am start.

The Capricorn was in a beautiful location right on the water. This hotel was fairly well kept. The exterior was lovely and well maintained. The inside was dated, yet tidy. The room did have a bit of a musty smell but completely tolerable. The staff that greeted us was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. I think this motel has great potential with some minor upgrades.

On my opinion the price rate is not suitable to the stand of the property like the bathroom floors are creaking. airconditioner are hard to manage the controls. Amenities are not perfect it is good we bring our own. Internet does not have a strong connection. One thing good the staff are friendly.

This hotel is very basic: the room is VERY small and dark, there is little privacy, and no breakfast. The service is close to non-existent: I spent 15 minutes trying to locate someone who would check me in. The guy was not rude per se, but he had trouble understanding my accent, and simply avoided the conversation, not wanting to make an effort. There are cheaper hotels in Gananoque with much better condition. This hotel has a certain rustic hippie community charm, and it would be OK for one night for CAD $100, but at CAD $200 it is severely overpriced. The only thing going for it is location, but saving 10 minutes on driving is simply not worth it. I would not return, nor would I recommend this motel to my friends.

Die Zimmer sind deutlich zu klein für zwei Queens-Betten. Im Bad war ein unangenehmer Geruch nach faulen Eiern/Schwefel wahrnehmbar. Insgesamt dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Für eine Nacht zur Not noch akzeptabel. Mehr aber keinesfalls.

I've been traveling to Canada for the past week. Out of all that, this place was the worst. So far, Expedia has chosen accommodation based on ratings, the worst of all. Leaving a review for the first time. I hope no one goes to this accommodation. When I got to the accommodation first, there was a car in the parking lot. From this point on, I didn't feel good. There was no one and only Bell was stuck at the check-in office. It rang at least six times, but no one came. I was able to get my phone number and pass through. I knew later, but you only did this. The exterior of the office was a pile of laundry behind messy paper on my laptop and desk. I got the key. I only got one key. When I woke up, I felt like I could sleep overnight, but it smelled so bad. When I opened the door and ventilated it, the bed was full of dust. When I lifted the sheet, there were dry grass or pieces of wood attached to it. Both beds were stuck together. I wasn't sure if I could go back and sleep well. Walking by, I saw a motel called Comfort. We went in and asked if there was a room, and fortunately, there was one. I went back, packed it up and checked out. There was no one in the office yet, and when I called, they told me to leave my keys in my room. I ran away within two hours of arriving. Do not be photographed. Do not go here. Clean accommodation is a valuable accommodation for tired travel.

This hotel is very basic: the room is VERY small and dark, there is little privacy, and no breakfast. The service is close to non-existent: I spent 15 minutes trying to locate someone who would check me in. The guy was not rude per se, but he had trouble understanding my accent, and simply avoided the conversation, not wanting to make an effort. There are cheaper hotels in Gananoque with much better condition. This hotel has a certain rustic hippie community charm, and it would be OK for one night for CAD $100, but at CAD $200 it is severely overpriced. The only thing going for it is location, but saving 10 minutes on driving is simply not worth it. I would not return, nor would I recommend this motel to my friends.

Good water pressure and toiletries thrown in. Great very quiet location just off main road and heaps of bicycle storage including undercover. Many many kilometres of off road sealed cycle available at the front door.

I stayed at Capricorn Motel Gananoque and was very disappointed with the experience. The service was poor – staff were unhelpful and unprofessional. My room was not clean, and the overall condition of the property felt neglected. What I didn’t like: Unfriendly and unresponsive staff Room was not cleaned properly No basic amenities or maintenance Poor value for the money Unfortunately, the negatives far outweighed the positives. I would not recommend this motel to others.

I really liked it. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they clean your room everyday. Wi-fi was not the best, but if you are going there to relax, you really don’t need it.

A roof over our heads but everything else was mediocre. Office was a mess - a sign that ambiance is low priority. Room was cramped, outlets in inconvenient locations, clean but grungy bathroom, difficult to operate wall ac unit. No directions given for how to check out so we had to ring the bell and wake the proprietor for a 7:30am start.

We stay here once or twice a year. Staff ae extremely friendly and helpful. Loved the chipmunks and little red squirrels. Very entertaining!

The Capricorn was in a beautiful location right on the water. This hotel was fairly well kept. The exterior was lovely and well maintained. The inside was dated, yet tidy. The room did have a bit of a musty smell but completely tolerable. The staff that greeted us was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. I think this motel has great potential with some minor upgrades.

Motel un peu 'dans son jus', mais c'est le côté typique ! Dans le petit hameau de Ivy lea. Motel tel qu'on les voit dans les films américains ..marrant ! Chambre un peu vétuste mais propre et bien équipée Parking -bien sur- devant la chambre Endroit calme et reposant a deux pas du saint Laurent et a 100 mètres du départ des croisières des mille iles (bien pratique)!

L'eau du bain as couler noir, lavabo encore sales. Photo avec bords de l'eau mais finalement aucun accès a l'eau. Prix demandé trop chère pour cet établissement. Pas de rideaux qui masque les fenêtre donc pas très intime car ont peut voir a l'intérieur.

An excellent location for Sup, cycling but no later evening dinning option. We did Sup under beautiful sunset, the view is amazing; came back in dark with no restaurant open nearby. Hotel has BBQ and simple kitchen. Near water front trial, cycling towards west direction, restaurant, Cosmo camping , thousand island province park are all close by . Overall it’s still a nice staying.

This was advertised as waterfront but it's over a block away from the water. Definitely false advertising. It was an $80-a-night place that we paid $250 for. The bathroom needed an overhaul and the beds were terrible. For that price, we expected a lot more.

It's a very quiet place. Facilities looks old but they are functional and clean. The bed is comfortable. There is also a common room with fridge and microwave oven so that you can prepare a simple meal. It's a good place where you can rest your body.

An average finish and decor inside the cramped room, nice to have a fridge. The main kitchen as such was opposite, this to be shared by a potential of 14 different parties. Clean sheets, pillows and shower to be fair.

I really like that room 2 is open for all the guests to use. Making breakfast, we had great conversations with the others. It would have been nice to have access to a spot near the water to watch the sunset.

This motel I must say was quite clean and the beds were very comfortable, but that is it. The property is very old and the rooms are extremely small and the bathroom was very small and old. Now if you like to watch a little TV or the news, forget it nothing is available except for a few outdated shows and a lot of sports. I was very disapointed especially at the high cost of the room. My suggestion find another place this one gets a bad rating from me.
