Our stay at Malaga Lodge was absolutely perfect! The street/neighborhood that the guesthouse is in is very nice, quiet, and a perfect distance from the city center. The lodge itself is very clean and welcoming. It was wonderful having space in the fridge and the kitchen/dining room available for some of our meals. The hostess is lovely and kind. We cannot wait to come back to the Malaga Lodge!

The lodge itself is very clean and welcoming. It was wonderful having space in the fridge and the kitchen/dining room available for some of our meals. The hostess is lovely and kind. This is great value. The property is well maintained and is located close to everything. That was what we were looking for inexpensive, clean and centrally located. We found parking a couple of streets away although there is parking near the guesthouse. Our GPS didn't understand that you can't get to the guesthouse via car. It is walk in only. We took the hop on hop off bus which is 50 meters away and that was a excellent option. A great little restaurant is just around the corner to the right.

This is great value. The property is well maintained and is located close to everything. That was what we were looking for inexpensive, clean and centrally located. Das Zimmer und die/das Gemeinschaftsräume-/bad waren sauber. Man war in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß in der Altstadt. In der Nähe gibt es Supermärkte und Cafés/Restaurants. Die Inhaberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich konnte mein Gepäck auch noch kurzzeitig deponieren. Vielen Dank nochmal! Für einen Kurztrip empfehlenswert.

Quiet in a more residential area, the communal places including kitchen and bathroom facilities were cleaned every day. The toilet and shower place is shared on each floor between two and three parties but it seemed everyone respected each other’s privacy.

Everything was excellent regarding the property, lovely and clean, comfortable and the kitchen was easy to use and well maintained. I have only given it 4 stars because I hadn’t been warned there would be loud construction noise from outside nearby, together with strong diesel type fumes otherwise I would have tried to book elsewhere. The noise started early in the morning and continued for much of the day, I couldn’t open the French windows because of the strong fumes. It is a pity because apart from that, everything was great.

I would highly recommend Malaga Lodge to anyone who is planning on staying in Malaga. The place is about 15 minutes from the center, there are convenience stores nearby, restaurants, and there are a lot of places where you can park for free. We parked on the street just a few minutes from the Lodge. The place is well-organized, comfortable, and quiet. We shared a bathroom and toilet with 2 more rooms on the floor. I never felt that I was sharing it with someone. Whenever I needed it, it was available and super clean. The kitchen was perfectly organized too. Every room had its cabinet and a shelf in the fridge. So you could bring your food and store it. The lady was super helpful. We had 2 bookings. One from 1.6. to 2.6. and another from 2.6. to 6.6. and we wanted to skip check-out and check-in time because we had planned a trip to Ronda on the day of our first check-out. The lady organized everything for us, so we didn't have to wait for check-in and she moved all our belongings from our first room to another. Just a perfect stay!

Malaga Lodge Guesthouse was a tidy, quiet hostel within walking distance of the main areas/attractions of the city. Only complaint is that no instructions were provided for check-in and there's no one onsite. We had to buzz the intercom (connected to someone's phone) for 15 minutes (within the listed check-in hours) before anyone answered and let us in.

Vi var i Malaga för första gången o bodde på malaga lodge guesthouse och var rätt så nöjda med upplevelsen. Värden var väldigt trevlig o hjälpsam, ordnade snabbt med o boka transfer till flygplatsen den natten när vi skulle åka hem. Läget var bra, tyst o lugnt på nätterna. Bra gångavstånd till centrum. Det enda minus var att det var väldigt lyhört, hörde allting, men inte så jättestörande man vande sig ju mer tiden gick.

Vi var i Malaga för första gången o bodde på malaga lodge guesthouse och var rätt så nöjda med upplevelsen. This is a wonderful and quiet spot to stay in busy Malaga. An easy walk to Malaga castle and surrounding shops and restaurants. Not too expensive to get to the bus station and airport via cab.

Room and house are cute. My card was charged a day before arrival, although it said pay-on-arrival. Contacting the property it was very difficult to reach someone. Also the woman rudely started knocking on the door and kept reminding us that check-out is at 11 when there was still almost one hour to go. Like we didn’t know..

The morning of travel I found an email that my credit card wasn’t valid. Contacted Expedia but they couldn’t help me. Called the owner. Within 10 minutes she called me back and everything was arranged, she was very helpful.

Das Zimmer und die/das Gemeinschaftsräume-/bad waren sauber. Man war in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß in der Altstadt. In der Nähe gibt es Supermärkte und Cafés/Restaurants. Die Inhaberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich konnte mein Gepäck auch noch kurzzeitig deponieren. Vielen Dank nochmal! Für einen Kurztrip empfehlenswert.

Malaga Lodge Guesthouse was a tidy, quiet hostel within walking distance of the main areas/attractions of the city. Only complaint is that no instructions were provided for check-in and there's no one onsite. We had to buzz the intercom (connected to someone's phone) for 15 minutes (within the listed check-in hours) before anyone answered and let us in.

Good stay, nice place. Quiet, good connection to the city center, but a bit far. So might need to spend a bit of money and time to get around. Nice little supermarket not far away, and the street is very quiet. Overall good experience, check-out time could be a bit later though.

I would highly recommend Malaga Lodge to anyone who is planning on staying in Malaga. The place is about 15 minutes from the center, there are convenience stores nearby, restaurants, and there are a lot of places where you can park for free. We parked on the street just a few minutes from the Lodge. The place is well-organized, comfortable, and quiet. We shared a bathroom and toilet with 2 more rooms on the floor. I never felt that I was sharing it with someone. Whenever I needed it, it was available and super clean. The kitchen was perfectly organized too. Every room had its cabinet and a shelf in the fridge. So you could bring your food and store it. The lady was super helpful. We had 2 bookings. One from 1.6. to 2.6. and another from 2.6. to 6.6. and we wanted to skip check-out and check-in time because we had planned a trip to Ronda on the day of our first check-out. The lady organized everything for us, so we didn't have to wait for check-in and she moved all our belongings from our first room to another. Just a perfect stay!

Room and house are cute. My card was charged a day before arrival, although it said pay-on-arrival. Contacting the property it was very difficult to reach someone. Also the woman rudely started knocking on the door and kept reminding us that check-out is at 11 when there was still almost one hour to go. Like we didn’t know..

This is great value. The property is well maintained and is located close to everything. That was what we were looking for inexpensive, clean and centrally located. We found parking a couple of streets away although there is parking near the guesthouse. Our GPS didn't understand that you can't get to the guesthouse via car. It is walk in only. We took the hop on hop off bus which is 50 meters away and that was a excellent option. A great little restaurant is just around the corner to the right.

This is a wonderful and quiet spot to stay in busy Malaga. An easy walk to Malaga castle and surrounding shops and restaurants. Not too expensive to get to the bus station and airport via cab.

Die Zimmer und die Gemeinschaftdräume sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Die Lage ist Hervorragend! Einziger Nachteil ist, dass es sehr hellhörig ist.

Merkwürdigerweise wird dieses Guesthouse bei Google und auf allen Buchungsplattformen als 3***Hotel gelistet. Es ist aber tatsächlich nur ein Guesthouse mit Gemeinschaftsduschen. Es handelt sich um ein Reihenhaus mit Erdgeschoss und 2 oberen Etagen, auf jeder 3 Zimmer, eine Toilette und eine Dusche. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich eine Gemeinschaftsküche. Man betritt das Guesthouse direkt in eine Lounge, eine Rezeption fehlt. Die ältere Eigentümerin wohnt mit im Haus und macht alles selbst, vom Annehmen der Reservierungen, über das Aufräumen der Zimmer und dem Waschen der Wäsche bis zur täglichen Säuberung der Toiletten und Duschen. Was mir persönlich nicht gefiel: 1. Die Zimmer waren hellhörig und alles nicht wirklich gut in Schuss. Das Zimmerschloss hakte, die Zimmertür liess sich nicht leise schliessen, die Tür des Kleiderschranks daneben fiel stets gegen die Zimmertür usw. All das zusammenaddiert und auf alle Zimmer einer Etage verteilt, liess einen an den Aktivitäten der Mitbewohner teilhaben. Nachts kann das nerven. 2. Ich kam bereits um 11.15 an und wollte mein Gepäck dort bis zum Einchecken abstellen, was die Besitzerin nur widerwillig gestattete und mich, noch nicht mal eingecheckt, auch gleich aufs Auschecken ansprach, das bis 11.00 erfolgt sein muss. Ich fragte ob ich am Abreisetag morgens meinen Rucksack bis ca. 15.00 dort in irgend einer Ecke lassen kann, was die Dame kategorisch ablehnte. Ich soll ihn in der Stadt im Storage abgeben. Sorry, muss nicht sein.

The door was locked and no one was answering the doorbell when we got there. Luckily, other guests let us in, and we waited in the lounge. The host ended up calling and giving us instructions but it was pretty sketchy. The room was fine, the bed was so so, but it was clean and in a good location.

It is clear that the owners care for this property. The decor is lovely. The kitchen is very well organized and clean My only complaint about the room was that there were only two electric plugs. Another one or two would have been useful.

Malaga Lodge fitted well within my budget and provided everything I needed. It is a 15 min walk from the centre and was nice and quiet. It was well away from other tourists, giving a more 'real' experience.
