I don't know how this motel recieved 3.8 stars. It's straight out of a horror movie. Check in was ok, clerk was pleasant. Went to the room and found both beds infested with bed bugs and the room had a bad odor. They gave me a different room and I didnt see any bed bugs in that one. However all of the furniture in the room was damaged, stains on the comforter, the fullsize refrigerator didnt work and there where missing light fixtures in the bathroom. There was somone living in the room next to me and their dog wouldnt stop barking. I get that its the only motel in Shelbyville area, but stay at one of the campgrounds in the area rather than this pit.

Me and my husband have traveled to Shelbyville IN from NWI at least 4 times already this year with several more trips planned this year. All but 1 of those times was spent at Spillway. And one we spent one night elsewhere and moved the second night to Spillway. Spillway is not your fancy hotel. If you want that, look elsewhere. What Spillway is is a family business that provides a comfortable place to stay while not fishing our butt off in the local waterways. I have never had any issues here and everything is always working and clean. No complaints here and when my husband says he wants to go fishing, I always say, “let me see what Spillway has available.” 10 star review if I could! Will always stay here as long as Spillway exists.

The staff was great, they hadnt cleaned the room when we got there. They jumped right in and got the room ready for us. The room was clean the bed was comfortable and clean, The room was really great, looked like time had taken its toll on the room, but, we figured its a older Motel, but still was comfortable. The only thing that was needing care, was the floor, it needed to have been swept and mopped, but still a clean room, and will stay there again.
