Comfortable and well-appointed room, and pretty quiet (though could hear quite a lot from other rooms eg alarm clocks going off). Staff in the pub are brilliant - super-helpful and warm welcome. Decent food and a quiet beer garden. All in all - great place for a bed & dinner.

Unexpected stay due to last minute change of plan. East to find ample parking. Room very clean with excellent facilities. Friendly and attentive staff. A little expensive but given the facilities available together with the late booking I can understand the price. Breakfast was also included and was itself excellent.

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent. We stayed in the small double room and although it was comfortable the bathroom was on the small side. Everywhere was clean and tidy, there is a large car park and importantly for us we were able to charge our EV. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to the area.

Accomodation excellent, cleanliness excellent, well appointed and furnished with 'taste'. Food was excellent and wide choice available, bar and waiting staff were efficient,attentive and personable. My only adverse comment would be the relative positions of the accomodation block(s) and the pub/restaurant, umbrellas are provided for the journey, should it be raining, even during good weather, there are steps to negotiate and you leave a warm building experience outdoor temperatures then enter another warm building.

Lovely friendly staff, nice clean room, great shower, plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits/water supplied. A good selection of beers, very nice evening meal, (only had a main) and the breakfast this morning was superb. Thank you to all the staff, will visit again.

An excellent inn/accommodation with good food and reasonable prices. An old inn, much extend and beautifully decorated. Room are in the pub and 2 outside buildings. Only issue I would have is parking and access. . The site rises to the rear, both to the parking and the outside buildings. I use a walking stick and could just about manage the slopes and the stairs but severe walkers or wheel chair users would not. There is disabled parking (and electric charge points) availed. The pub is on the flat and wheelchair accessible but there is no pub level parking. Overall, a great find and great value. A word of warning - the restaurant is very popular so book ahead and if relying on electronic booking etc I would suggest actually confirming all directly with the pub. Our electronic confirmation went astray and we very nearly didn't get to eat. The staff though were really good and squeezed us in

we booked two nights at the Craven Heifer (fri/sat) as we had a wedding on the saturday. check in was a breeze and only took a minute, this despite the pub / resutaurant being extremely busy. we had prebooked a table for dinner at 8.30pm (suggest you do the same) our meals were fantastic, the service was brilliant, friendly, quick and everything you would want after a week at work. the room was in the main building and was spacious, good hanging space, nice sized bathroom with toiletries. room had a great selection of tea / coffee / chocolate and had proper cookies !! (not little biscuits!) really comfy bed / pillows. we booked breakfast for 8.30am - again, great choice which catered for everyone from porridge to full english. on the saturday we were at the wedding, but had breakfast for 9am on the sunday - again, same fantastic service.

The Craven Heifer was an ideal place for visiting the sights of North Yorkshire. The breakfast was made to order and plentiful and we enjoyed the two dinners we ate in the hotel. Our room was comfortable but did have a few cobwebs and overlooked the road which meant we could not have the window open due to the traffic noise. The bar was small and in the early evening we had tins alternative places to sit for a drink as there were no available seats. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel met our needs as a base to visit the area.

The hotel is immaculate everywhere inside and out, the room is spacious and has everything you need lots of coffee and milk and even bottles of water. The breakfast was really good which is important to us we like a good breakfast. We will definately be back when we visit our family.

Terrible: There were many things that were problematic. The room is tiny and had slanting walls all around( banged my head twice). You have to take your bags out, walk in the rain to reception fir check-in and then take your bags and walk in the rain for the room. There is no fan in the room and the pillows were seriously stiff. Bad: Breakfast was fixed menu and was ok, I wish i had English breakfast as it liked great but sadly I had Egg Benedict with very hard did egg yolks (saw it for the first time). But having committed the crime of coding a wing menu, I couldn't go back to full English. Then, asked the lady fir vide and toast and she disappeared. Good: The bathroom was top notch, cleaning was great. Some of the staff was very welcoming. Coffee was very good. Views from window were beautiful.

This was probably our 5th or 6th stay at The Craven Heifer but the first since it changed hands from being a family run establishment to being part of a large chain. As always the property was very clean and tidy and very well maintained, definitely no complaints there. For us, the food had always been a selling point of The Craven Heifer, fresh locally sourced produce freshly cooked however on this occasion we did not have an opportunity to experience an evening meal but we did enjoy breakfast which was as good as it always had been. Will we stay there again when we're in the area... Definitely!

Really lovely stay, staff were really friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable room. Brilliant breakfast and nice outside seating area. Quite noisy from room next door (not necessarily the guests just thin wallsand doors close noisily) but that was our only negative.

We have stayed here before. The bedrooms are in different areas we were in room 10 in The lodge a ground floor room with hard to open patio doors and a small table. The room is a good size though, usual tea coffee facilities you would expect. A small table inside with two armchairs. Dressing gowns prividd were lovely and soft a nice touch compared to rough ones I have used elsewhere. Breakfast was between 8am to 10:00 we got there abouts 9:30 we were presented with a menu. No fruit juices, cereals or yoghurt on display. We asked for juice but its unclear if its available I spotted a couple with juices so we asked for apple. Breakfast menu has various options I cannot eat a full cooked breakfast so opted for bacon. Avocado with mushrooms on toast. It tasted lovely and I enjoyed it. We had dinner the night before I recommend booking as it was busy. Steak was tasty though hard to cut a little tough in places. My husband had the pork tomahawk, chips were not very pleasant. An enjoyable stay easy checkout.

The Craven Heiffer has a warm and welcoming atmosphere - staff were professional, friendly and approachable and the service was excellent! My hotel room was lovely and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had great nights sleep. I will definitely plan a return journey … the bar staff were lovely and I’d like to thank Gemma in particular !

The check in was quick and easy. I dropped my husband of at front door, he has poor mobility to check in while i parked the car. Our room was in the lodge at the back of the pub. As i was walking back to the front of the pub i met my husband being assisted by Taylor a member of staff to are room. Taylor was very friendly and professional, we had a couple of drinks in the beer garden, it started to rain a little Taylor came out to make sure we were ok and helped my husband inside. We ate in the hotel the food was delicious and very big portions. Breakfast was amazing i had full english, my husband had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Craven Heiffer has a warm and welcoming atmosphere - staff were professional, friendly and approachable and the service was excellent! My hotel room was lovely and spacious, the bed was comfortable and I had great nights sleep. I will definitely plan a return journey … the bar staff were lovely and I’d like to thank Gemma in particular !

Excellent stay in midst of stunning countryside and so many places to visit. Need a car to get out and about. Hotel first class in every way. Cook to order breakfasts but staff very flexible in accommodating options which was perfect.

The Craven Heifer was an ideal place for visiting the sights of North Yorkshire. The breakfast was made to order and plentiful and we enjoyed the two dinners we ate in the hotel. Our room was comfortable but did have a few cobwebs and overlooked the road which meant we could not have the window open due to the traffic noise. The bar was small and in the early evening we had tins alternative places to sit for a drink as there were no available seats. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel met our needs as a base to visit the area.

Great Hotel with great service. The only drawback was that we had a room overlooking the road which was pretty airless and passing traffic was very noisy if we opened a window..

Another great stay at The Craven Heifer. Staff friendly and welcoming. Great food. We stayed in the Barn on the top floor again. Quiet with a beautiful view. Blade of Beef and Crème Brulée for dinner.

We stayed in converted barn at the rear of the Inn, the accommodation was of a high standard and very comfortable. The staff were unobtrusive and very helpful. A good location to explore Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire dales and Blackpool if you are in the mood.

Beautiful place to stay, in lovely countryside surroundings. Room was very spacious, stylish and very clean. The bed was so comfortable had a lovely sleep. Very nice breakfast with a great veggie (full English) version. Service was fabulous from check in to departure, friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely stay again.

I had a fantastic stay at the Craven Heifer Inn. The staff were genuinely attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The restaurant was excellent—fresh, well-cooked dishes and prompt, service at every meal. I’d recommend the Craven Heifer Inn without hesitation.

We have stayed here before. The bedrooms are in different areas we were in room 10 in The lodge a ground floor room with hard to open patio doors and a small table. The room is a good size though, usual tea coffee facilities you would expect. A small table inside with two armchairs. Dressing gowns prividd were lovely and soft a nice touch compared to rough ones I have used elsewhere. Breakfast was between 8am to 10:00 we got there abouts 9:30 we were presented with a menu. No fruit juices, cereals or yoghurt on display. We asked for juice but its unclear if its available I spotted a couple with juices so we asked for apple. Breakfast menu has various options I cannot eat a full cooked breakfast so opted for bacon. Avocado with mushrooms on toast. It tasted lovely and I enjoyed it. We had dinner the night before I recommend booking as it was busy. Steak was tasty though hard to cut a little tough in places. My husband had the pork tomahawk, chips were not very pleasant. An enjoyable stay easy checkout.

The craven is a great place to stay. Staff are friendly, helpful & the accommodation comfortable. The food in the restaurant is excellent with a good range for all tastes and the breakfast is first class. You won’t be disappointed.

Terrible: There were many things that were problematic. The room is tiny and had slanting walls all around( banged my head twice). You have to take your bags out, walk in the rain to reception fir check-in and then take your bags and walk in the rain for the room. There is no fan in the room and the pillows were seriously stiff. Bad: Breakfast was fixed menu and was ok, I wish i had English breakfast as it liked great but sadly I had Egg Benedict with very hard did egg yolks (saw it for the first time). But having committed the crime of coding a wing menu, I couldn't go back to full English. Then, asked the lady fir vide and toast and she disappeared. Good: The bathroom was top notch, cleaning was great. Some of the staff was very welcoming. Coffee was very good. Views from window were beautiful.

Friendly helpful staff. Room clean, but hot, but a fan was supplied. Tea coffee choc and biscuits available in the room. The shower was good, toiletries nice. Breakfast was fantastic. The croissants were big and warm. The eggs benedict were cooked to perfection and the staff were very attentive, with more coffee if required. Only slight minus, was that we overlooked the car park so we could hear everyone going to their cars.... but as it was a Sunday morning it wasn't too early. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
