Grand Motel Saint-Hubert

This was a last minute booking, another place I had tried to get filled up while I was attempting to book it. So this location was my last choice (the Grand Motel Sainte-Hubert). The regular night charge was $60/night, but because of the F1, they were charging $420 for 2 nights! This place is a dump. The bathroom door didn’t close properly, the sheets were miss matched and in need of replacing, the bathroom sink and toilet were in need of replacement, the carpet was thread bare in areas, the paint was yellowed and you had to leave an additional $20 for the TV remote that didn’t even work properly. The beds and the furniture should have been taken to the dump. There was no WiFi when we arrived in the room, so I went back to the office to find out what was going on. The staff was belligerent and stated it must be a problem with my phone, however, in the office it was working fine. So I demanded that it be fixed. The acting (?) manager told me the router at my location was out and would take him an hour to fix it. It did take an hour and it was out again the next day. The pool on the property is a garbage pit and the grounds haven’t been maintained in any way whatsoever. If you have an need of accommodations in this area and nothing else is available, do yourself a favour and sleep in your car.

100% sure the sheets had not been changed on either bed - hair and dirt in both. We were desperate and had to stay there so spent $100 to buy sheets/pillows/small blankets to put on top of bed and PRAYED there weren’t bed bugs. Outlets didn’t work, there was a lamp on the nightstand but no outlet to plug it in with, the fridge would not open and proceeded to leak all over the place. They said they would replace the fridge but just brought towels to help sop up the water. The sink and stove were amazingly unusable (not that I would have) and even the surface had dirt/old food on it - and disgusting/used/filthy/torn tinfoil on the burner pans. There were old mattresses laying around in the yard and the pool was a cesspool. Worst place I have EVER stayed in my life. Worst part is they know it and don’t make any attempt to hide/fix it. They had us since we were in for the Grand Prix and wouldn’t have been able to find anything else for miles. We went into it knowing it wouldn’t be great, but it was NOTHING LIKE THE WEBSITE! Do not be fooled.

Pool is not available for use, they first room we got was not clean, many bugs and spiders, then we got another that was clean, the bar is not for use, bathroom not has not been Taken care during time

Pro: The people at the front desk we nice and the room had one of those old school heart shaped jaccuzi tubs which was fun. The bed was pretty comfortable all things considered. Con: It was incredibly run down. There were people living out of their cars there, which I know happens, I just didn't realize that was what I was the type of place we were booking when I reserved online. The hotel grounds were completely over grown, there is a fenced off area that looks like it used to be a pool in some forgotten era. There was shopping carts and abandoned chairs in the green space between the rooms. While out for a smoke someone approached us to try and buy drugs off of us. It was definitely not what we thought.

En entrant dans la chambre, nous avons été frappé en plein visage par l’odeur de moisi/humidité. Le bain est vieux et devrait être changé pour un plus récent. Le miroir entourant le bain était extrêmement sale. Pas de télécommande disponible pour une télé vraiment ancienne. Le personnel nous a offert une autre chambre qui était pire que la première. Hors de question de séjourner là-bas. Nous avons annuler et l’hôtel nous a remboursé. Je suis très déçue, à éviter!

Paid for the hot tub, but wasn't even working

Room have not been cleaned at all before i got there. There was hairs on the bed, in the bathtub, on the toilets. Toilet was dirty, microwave and desk were also dirty. There was bugs. Couldnt be refunded. AVOID AT ALL COST

KEEP AWAY!!! This motel shouldn't even been opened for business. Nothing was clean. Don't be fooled by the pictures. I was in a rush and didn’t take time to read reviews (for the 1st time ever) and I regret it. I only stayed 1 night out if the 3 I had initially booked. I have videos. NOTHING was clean. From the bedsheets (yellowish), to the floor, to the bath tub, the walls, the towels ... nothing. They refused to refund the 2 nights I didn't stay

The room was filthy and delapitated, the sheets were unchanged and visibly dirty. The bathroom was dirty and in disrepair. I was afraid to open my bags there and left without a refund. Do not stay here

This room was the most disgusting room we have ever been in. Upon arrival had to tell staff to clean the room as it had many dirty issues. Food on the floor, handprints on the mirror. Filthy batb tub. Among many other things. We had no choice but to stay but did nog sleep. Bed was not made, under blanket sheets were wrinkled. We had to use a blanket we had in our trunk. Macaroni on the floor. Disgusting black inside fridge. Microwave had profanity drawn inside. Broken chair outside room missing a leg that caused a fall. This hole of a place should not even be on a booking website. We rushed home to shower. We should be refunded for an awful sleepless night

The room was not clean: sticky furniture, sticky floors and even the shampoo small tube was gooey!!! The sheets were dirty! The towels were dirty with black spots! The chairs were stained!! I asked to changed the bedsheets but I was offered another room… with dirty sheets! When I finally found a room unnoticed that the girl who showed me the previous room did NOT change the dirty bed but simply redid the bed with the dirty sheets!!! I had planned a two day stay but in left after one night! Horrendous experience The photos are either fake or 20 years old!! I decided to stay one night because I arrived late and could not go anywhere else!! DO NOT GOTHERE!

The worst hotel I have ever walked into, we didn’t stay, sheets where unchanged, full of crumbs and pubic hairs.

This place needs to be closed permanently. It was so disgusting we didn’t even stay for the night. The sheet was dirty, we saw cockroaches. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have bugs beds.

The lady working the desk was lovely. The property and rooms were not. The room was very dirty. It was hot and the air conditioner plug did not reach any outlet. There was a gap under the door to outside about an inch wide. The floor made my feet practically black. Curtains were stained, lamp had no shade and the pillows were flat.

Just didn’t like the room condition and smell.

We were lucky enough to find a room at this hotel when our original hotel cancelled our reservation. But we understood why once we got there. Road construction meant the bus dropped us a half mile from the hotel instead of right in front of their entrance. Well outside of downtown Montreal also meant the buses only ran once an hour, so getting there turned into a bigger challenge than we expected. Our room, though spacious, had a thick layer of dust and many insects inhabiting it. The air conditioner, though it worked well, was too noisy for us to leave on overnight. On the plus side, the bed linens and towels were clean and there was plenty of hot water. Mattress and pillows were firm, which is exactly how we like them, so we slept fairly well. The staff was pleasant. If the room had been clean and the bus line not detoured, we might have stayed longer. But as it was, we left after the first night having paid for three even though the room was nonrefundable.

Light didn’t work, tv didn’t work, no remote, bathroom door didn’t close, hair all over the bed, toilet seat wasn’t cleaned. Paid $90, would probably pay half of that to stay again if I had to.

There was holes in curtain stuffed tp to plug them smelled smoke dirty bedding

It was inexpensive, but good value for that. Good front desk staff. Quiet room. Bed was comfortable.

Room was disgusting. Room temp 7 centigrade on arrival. Window curtains seethrough. No bedside light, phone or alarm clock. Bathtub gross. Room warmed to 15 after 11 hours. No TV remote. worst motel room ever

The listing photos are nothing like real life when you get in the room. Not sure it's ever been renovated. Flimsy door knob. I want to say it was fine for a 1 night stay. Very thin walls

A couple of customers where argueing with the clerks when I got there. The plugs on the refrigerator and microwave both faced in the same direction so they couldn't be plugged in at the same time. The remote worked but the tv had no signal. The first morning police were arresting somebody in the parking lot a couple rooms down. I was mainly there for the F1 race and it was coveniently located. Also cheap. I did sleep well and the clerk at checkout was kind and curtious.

Make yourself a favour and do not stay here. Bad service and not one single ounce of a sense of cleaningness

The attitude of staff was disgusting, there was no control of A/C in the room, when we asked to shut it off, she did not come saying that she has customers, the washroom basin was leaking, fridge was very dirty, there was no coffee machine in the room, I called Expedia and their response was also not good.

Old property but you pay for what you get ane the lady at the counter let you chek the room before paiement to have no surprise .

Late check in was great,place was quiet mid week ,cash deposit for key and remote was kinda annoying & linens could be freshened up!

Good customer service

They did not have what we reserved for and wanted to cancel and not reimburse. Told us to deal with Expedia. Very rude and not accommodating at all. I want my money back

2 women were there when checking in. 1 lady was friendly and accomedating, checked in a bit earlier then 3pm. The other lady seemed like I annoyed her for arriving early. She kept saying room was not cleaned yet. (checkout is before 11am and they couldn't clean a room for just after 2 pm????.) The room I got was not clean. Shower head was broken water everywhere. The window blinds were missing blinds so anyone can look in the room. It was a non smoking room but smelled as if someone just finshed smoking. At checkin was not expalined about the wifi which sucked. No remote for the ac unit or the tv, and room phone did not work.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and gave me a good local restaurant recommendation and very kindly answered my questions. The motel is old and has seen better days, but the room was clean and I slept comfortably on the bed. If you can't tell by the price, you obviously aren't getting a fancy accommodation. The location is in a part of town that isn't the greatest, but it was only about a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Montreal and is right off a major highway. There are lots of restaurants right down the street. If you are like me and you like to travel to a lot of places and your budget is limited and you just need a place to sleep and wash up, this will do the trick just fine. Just be warned that it appeared that this was a residential motel with most of the other guests looking to be locals, many of whom were down on their luck. Some of the people looked like they were on drugs and were asking for cigarettes.

The worst motel ever. Receptionist and owner was shouting and using abusing words. They forced us to leave the motel before check out time. They didn't even give us time to get fresh. They gave threats and forced to leave rooms at 3:30AM. Used abusing words. Also road network to reach motel is ill. Don't have well maintained road to reach safely at location. I never suggest any one to visit this motel. Even room service was not provided. They clearly denied to provide room service.

Everything is perfect but it is far from montreal

Budget accommodation in a very convenient area near the freeway: "location, location, location". The key is competitive pricing.

This was terrible. Booked inline through expedia, but the road going to the Motel was closed! No notice on expedia that there was no way to get to the Motel. The road was all torn up around the Motel and we couldn't even get in. Tried 3 different back road routes and all too you to a point where you had to go on the torn up road to get into the motel. We couldn't even get there to check in and will most likely loose our $$ too.

Bien car on devait prendre l'avion à St-Hubert mais pour le reste c'etait assez ordinaire !!! Mais à 75$ taxes incluses la chambre on s'attendait un peu a ça !

First of all they charge us for room keys. If we booked the room why do we need to pay for keys. Also, there were all druggist people staying there. It was so unsafe. The AC was not working properly. Room was full of moisture. Furniture seems like about to break if somebody move it or push it hard. Bedsheets and pillow cover had blood stains. They asked to pay us for tv remote as well. We don’t understand why expedia would allow such an untidy, unsafe and unhygienic place to be on expedia. It was a complete waste of money what we paid for. There were no cups in the room. Asked for hot water in morning, went to collect hot water at reception, they had no cups, Got cups at afternoon. I would never ever recommend this place to anybody. Pathetic place to stay.
