Twain Harte never disappoints and this is the second time I've stayed at Wildwood. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The rooms were nice and the area was quiet. Good dining options close by. Parking was easy and safe.

Very well kept, and clean facilities and room. Hotel is in a very nice pine tree-surrounded community with dining, entertainment and shopping options within easy walking distance. Our child also enjoyed the swimming pool.

Small town feel. Call this number to contact manager to check in. Room was not ready at almost 5pm. Rustic split wood bed frame and room furniture full of hiding breeding area for bedbugs. I found four in my ,thank goodness white sheets. No one in office at check out to let them know I was up all night being bitten. At least they were honest and said hot tub heater was broken.

Had no interaction with the staff. Our key was left under the door mat to our room. Had to call a number on the door to find out what room and where my key was. Check out was the same. No interaction. Just dropped it in a door slot. We rented this room because they had a hot tub. The hot tub was as cold as the pool. Extremely disappointed in the money I spent here. The AC unit was a window unit that had the temperature buttons cut out if it so that it was stuck on 77° The bed was comfortable though.

We arrived at 7:30pm and was able to check in by phone, key to room was left for us as promised. Room was no frills but tidy. Enjoyed walking to a very GOOD and inexpensive steak house literally a block away. There was no access to the use of the gated pool and spa which was a bit disappointing but the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The price was inexpensive for a night in a EXTREMELY quaint Moutain town. I would love to come back in the winter.

We had a wonderful time!! But the carpet was dirty and the drapes were old and need to be replaced. Unfortunately the pool and hot tub were being repaired during our stay. But we will come back because the area is beautiful!

A nice location in the west side of the Sierras. Restaurants are walking distance, but Twain Harte has no sidewalks. The Wildwood motel is inexpensive but maybe paying a bit more elsewhere is a good idea. The bed is cheap and old but good enough. There were extra towels, a refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, and a filthy coffee maker. Loud noise from the air conditioner and thin walls was annoying at night. The bathroom was very dirty.

We booked a full weekend but woke up after 1st night to find a bedbug! We packed up and left instantly. Alerted front desk who seemed horrified and said manager would contact us to discuss situation but never did!!! That was 4 days ago. I get that this could happen at any hotel, but not to contact us to tell us how they’d alleviate or fix for future guests ?? I can’t stand by and let that happen

This is clearly an old building that has been lovingly rehabbed. Room was spotlessly clean, nice fluffy towels, comfortable King bed, refrig/freezer, microwave, keurig coffee maker. and VERY quiet.

Love the simple charm of this place! Check in/out was extremely simple and fast and the room was cozy and had a nice heater. The only thing was the view of the room was blocked by the building itself.

The bed was very comfortable. I felt safe as a single female traveler in ground floor room 1 which was near the office. The front staff was nice. The room was modest but very clean. This is a great hotel to stay inn if you have family or friends in any of the Pinecrest area camps or skiing but you want to be able to walk around town and have shops restaurants and other services right there. Thanks.

Room 10, downstairs on the end is not a good room. The staff is friendly and hard working, but this time my room was not great. Very basic stripped down room. Good location, but get an upstairs room or else you will hear every footstep.

No one was at the hotel for checking in. We waited over an hour in the parking lot and finally got ahold of someone on the phone and they said they left a key under the mat. The curtains and walls were filthy and the floor had weird stains on it. The shower was awful and barely sprayed water and was broken. There was no one in the office for over 24 hours.

Check in time was till 10 pm and because a medical emergency in our aircraft the flight was delayed. We were at 9:45 at the motel and there was no one in the office and door was locked. There was a note on the door that person had leave and to call a certain number. We left by accident our phone in Texas and couldn’t call. There was a doorbell and we finally got a person on the speaker connected to the doorbell. Hard to understand and telling what room we had and where the key was located. No personal contact at all and this morning at 8:45 am we wanted to check out, the office was still closed and the same note was on the door. We dropped our key into the designated box next to the office. We didn’t meet anyone from the hotel at all. I would not recommend this place.

This place felt pretty low budget. Thin walls, noisy, no hot water for a shower either day of our stay. No response from the front desk about the shower. Tangle of hair on shower wall. Beds were comfortable and clean. Room smelled like bleach.

I was hunting for three days in the wilderness. All I wanted to do was sit and relax in a hot tub. Nothing was mentioned that it was in maintenance for months not in operation. I wish I would’ve known this because I was very sore and wanted to just relax in a hot tub.

The entire bed was covered in someone else’s hair. I asked for new sheets and they had hair on them as well. The bathtub had someone else’s hair in the bathtub and on the shower walls. There were stains on the nightstands from somebody’s sticky drinks and the room was very dirty.
