It’s a beautiful property with a garden, outdoor sitting area and sauna. Our room has a small balcony and spectacular view of hohenschwangau castle. The breakfast has a good selection of cheese, cold cuts, smoked salmon, yogurt, sausage, eggs, bacon and bread basket. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The paid parking is easy and secure.

The hotel is beautiful. Underground parking is super convenient. The breakfast buffet was unbelievable. Best of all, customer service at this hotel is over the top!

Our two night stay at Villa Ludwig Suite Hotel was excellent! The property exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of sunshine and a balcony. The hotel's amenities were many, including an amazing breakfast, on-site parking, free use of bicycles, and within walking distance of all the area's attractions. The hotel staff are happy to reserve castle tickets, dinner reservations, and offer directions to attractions and transportation. We would highly recommend this property and will stay again when visiting the area.

Leider haben wir extra 14€ pro Nacht für den Parkplatz bezahlen müssen, obwohl in der Beschreibung stand, dass dieser inkl. sei. Zudem ist der Spa-Bereich sehr klein. Ansonsten war alles super & vor allem war das Frühstück TOP.

The place is amazing. Cosy small hotel with nice views to the Neuschwanstein Castle. Walking distance to town center and restaurants and shops. Has a spa area with steam room and relaxation grotto. Comfortable beds and very quiet area. There’s a school next to it but we stayed over a weekend, so not sure how noisy it will be when school is in session. For sure will stay again in the future.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Every staff member we interacted with from check-in to breakfast to check-out was friendly and polite. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were fortunate to have views of Neuschwanstein from our room and balcony which was magical. The hotel had parking available and was in walking distance to the castles. Breakfast had many options too. We'd recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.

Had a Junior Suite "Parsifal" and view was fantastic. Desk made dinner reservations for us. Very beautiful property. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Has onsite parking.

Stayed in the "romantic suite" with view of Neushawstein castle from our private balcony. Room was amazing with soaking tub in bedroom that also had castle view. Castle is illuminated at night. Room had large bathroom with huge shower, double sinks with makeup mirror. WC in separate room. Separate sitting room. Very spacious. Bed was very comfortable and had starlights overhead. Excellent, helpful front desk staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Rxcellent enclosed garage parking. Bus to Neushwanstein castle a short walk from hotel. Hohenschwangau castle was a short walk from hotel. Restaurants nearby. Lake with mountains and walking path near hotel.

I wanted to see a real castle, the most beautiful in the world, and my husband took me to this place! We arrived late, almost 10 pm. And, the minute we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with and mesmerized at the view of the brightly lit-up white Neuschwanstein castle that is nestled up in the mountain! What a welcoming sight! We were greeted at the front desk by Sebine; she was very kind and spoke excellent English! She was informative and helpful with my many questions. She was thoughtful to give us some tips about our stay. She even booked us our last minute castle entrance tickets and took the time to explain everything (we were blessed to even have a last minute ticket- as they were almost fully booked- tickets to the castles are usually booked a month ahead!) - Sebine also mentioned that the castle lights will be turned off at 10 pm- nice touch of information because that was our only night to see the castle lit up. She also showed us 2 rooms, one that I booked and the only room left with a castle view from the room’s porch. We ended up getting the room with a view of the castle from our bed and outside patio (paid 30.00 euro addtl)- which is so worth it! My husband and I often travel the world and this is one of the few room/hotel that we have been to that is one of the best! The room was excellent, lots of nice welcoming touches all over the room! Very clean, roomy & romantic. Staff next day and breakfast were great! 100% recommend!!!!

Villa Ludwig was an amazing place to stay. Clean, spacious, warm and inviting with a VERY helpful staff. A five minute walk away from the other hotels and touristy areas made for a quiet stay with great views of Neuschwanstein but still so close to everything. We will absolutely come back here.

Our recent stay at Villa Ludwig was very enjoyable. The hotel is very clean and our room was spacious. It’s within easy walking distance of the castles, so there was no need to hassle with parking the car. The staff was super friendly and helpful, including with obtaining tickets for entry into the castles. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel in centre of town so really easy to get to the shuttle buses for the castles Staff were really friendly and helpful Breakfast was excellent Room was beautiful and well appointed however it was hot at night and the air conditioning was so loud we had to turn it off and open the windows

Amazing hotel. Room was large and comfortable. Views were amazing. Close proximity to both castles, just a short walk away and a good home base to explore the Bavarian alps. The staff were incredible - front desk concierge was knowledgeable and she went out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable.

The hotel is wonderful and perfect location. My only issue was no air conditioning in our room and was a bit warm. We reserved two rooms for our family and one was air conditioned. Would stay again nonetheless.

We were fortunate to have views of Neuschwanstein from our room and balcony which was magical. The hotel had parking available and was in walking distance to the castles. Breakfast had many options too. We'd recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.

Stayed in the "romantic suite" with view of Neushawstein castle from our private balcony. Room was amazing with soaking tub in bedroom that also had castle view. Castle is illuminated at night. Room had large bathroom with huge shower, double sinks with makeup mirror. WC in separate room. Separate sitting room. Very spacious. Bed was very comfortable and had starlights overhead. Excellent, helpful front desk staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Rxcellent enclosed garage parking. Bus to Neushwanstein castle a short walk from hotel. Hohenschwangau castle was a short walk from hotel. Restaurants nearby. Lake with mountains and walking path near hotel.

Beautiful hotel in centre of town so really easy to get to the shuttle buses for the castles Staff were really friendly and helpful Breakfast was excellent Room was beautiful and well appointed however it was hot at night and the air conditioning was so loud we had to turn it off and open the windows

I wanted to see a real castle, the most beautiful in the world, and my husband took me to this place! We arrived late, almost 10 pm. And, the minute we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with and mesmerized at the view of the brightly lit-up white Neuschwanstein castle that is nestled up in the mountain! What a welcoming sight! We were greeted at the front desk by Sebine; she was very kind and spoke excellent English! She was informative and helpful with my many questions. She was thoughtful to give us some tips about our stay. She even booked us our last minute castle entrance tickets and took the time to explain everything (we were blessed to even have a last minute ticket- as they were almost fully booked- tickets to the castles are usually booked a month ahead!) - Sebine also mentioned that the castle lights will be turned off at 10 pm- nice touch of information because that was our only night to see the castle lit up. She also showed us 2 rooms, one that I booked and the only room left with a castle view from the room’s porch. We ended up getting the room with a view of the castle from our bed and outside patio (paid 30.00 euro addtl)- which is so worth it! My husband and I often travel the world and this is one of the few room/hotel that we have been to that is one of the best! The room was excellent, lots of nice welcoming touches all over the room! Very clean, roomy & romantic. Staff next day and breakfast were great! 100% recommend!!!!

Our two night stay at Villa Ludwig Suite Hotel was excellent! The property exceeded our expectations. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of sunshine and a balcony. The hotel's amenities were many, including an amazing breakfast, on-site parking, free use of bicycles, and within walking distance of all the area's attractions. The hotel staff are happy to reserve castle tickets, dinner reservations, and offer directions to attractions and transportation. We would highly recommend this property and will stay again when visiting the area.

Our recent stay at Villa Ludwig was very enjoyable. The hotel is very clean and our room was spacious. It’s within easy walking distance of the castles, so there was no need to hassle with parking the car. The staff was super friendly and helpful, including with obtaining tickets for entry into the castles. Highly recommend.

The place is amazing. Cosy small hotel with nice views to the Neuschwanstein Castle. Walking distance to town center and restaurants and shops. Has a spa area with steam room and relaxation grotto. Comfortable beds and very quiet area. There’s a school next to it but we stayed over a weekend, so not sure how noisy it will be when school is in session. For sure will stay again in the future.

Villa Ludwig was an amazing place to stay. Clean, spacious, warm and inviting with a VERY helpful staff. A five minute walk away from the other hotels and touristy areas made for a quiet stay with great views of Neuschwanstein but still so close to everything. We will absolutely come back here.

This is THE HOTEL to stay at if you want stunning views of Neuschwanstein Castle. The entire town of Hohenschwangau and both castles are easily walkable. All restaurants etc. just a perfect hotel in a perfect location!

Great location for the castle. Newly renovated rooms, big bathroom and great size room. Also breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this hotel. Also u can see the castle behind the hotel.

Leider haben wir extra 14€ pro Nacht für den Parkplatz bezahlen müssen, obwohl in der Beschreibung stand, dass dieser inkl. sei. Zudem ist der Spa-Bereich sehr klein. Ansonsten war alles super & vor allem war das Frühstück TOP.

The location was perfectly located for walking to & from both castles. I’m 72 and had no issues walking, although it is uphill. I had no trekking poles and rested as needed. Our room was #103 and the room had an acceptable view of the bigger castle (or as we called it, Castle N) The free breakfast was great and also had a view. What was exceptional was the helpful guide to the area in English. The front desk made reservations for dinner. The down side: restaurant’s close around 8 pm so plan accordingly. I paid for the city tax and the snacks eaten the night before we left. I could not get a free bus pass until we turned in the room key and since we had to catch the early train, when I asked for the pass at 7:00 a.m. the people (breakfast helpers) had no idea that I had already paid and no idea where the bus passes were. So, we had to pay for 3 people, about 9 euros. So if this scenario fits you, make sure the receptionist leaves the bus passes for you to get the next morning. We were allowed to breakfast early which was very kindly of them.

Everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect. It is a ten minute walk to the base of the walk up to the castle. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a terrace view overlooking the castle. The service is friendly, efficient and professional. The breakfast is expansive and delicious. We would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to see this region of Germany. We will be back!!!
