No elevator to second floor so if your handicap request a first floor room, overall it was a nice little get away and the gal at the front desk was super sweet! No breakfast options but they had coffee and tea available as well as popcorn. We didn't play but I seen a bunch of board games under the coffee stand which would be nice if traveling with our kids.

Room was nicely clean and have wider space. equipment and amenities are enough. Free popcorn machine is good. Staff is friendly.

Very good, but elevator would have been nice. We had to carry luggage up to second floor. Room was clean and spacious. No complaints

Sink is separate from bathroom. This is helpful when sharing a bathroom. Very nice sleeping arrangements. Liked the popcorn and coffee/tea available around the clock.

Stopped for the night before heading to Rainier the next day. Clean room, comfy beds & blankets, nice hot shower.. all that we needed for a one night stay really. Though there is no elevator, if that’s something you’re needing (we didn’t need, but good to know).

The staff was the absolute best here, so friendly and welcoming and even upon our departure the lady was so kind! There is coffee and free popcorn in the lobby too! Extremy clean and the large televisions were very nice. The hotel is definitely older, but has been modernized. The beds were comfortable and the room heated up nice after a long day snowboarding. We only had one complaint and that was just the noise from the other room, the walls are very thin, so you hear everything, but it didn't bother us enough to warrant a complaint. We definitely will stay again!!

Small little place on the far south side of town, away from other businesses. Our rooms were on the second floor, and they were super busy checking people in the weekend before Labor Day. Everyone was really nice, they had a popcorn machine, and coffee but nothing else for breakfast.

Room was clean. No food, but several options available in nearby Packwood. Sink was outside bathroom, which was good, but no place to hang towel by sink. Staff not very friendly. Plenty of parking available. Room not cleaned second day.

The location of this motel was great. But the property itself needed repairs. For example, the caulking in the bathtub needed to be reapplied professionally.

Checkin was awful we had a 3 1/2 hr drive so we arrived at 10pm maybe the front desk person was tired, she was rude snarky and short not a great welcome crew! Only other complaint was that the bathroom stunk like urine. Best part of our stay was the sweet house keeper in the morning.

The good: we arrived early and the front desk lady allowed us to check-in. The bad: everything else. The entire hotel was dirty and just had a smell and filth about it. My wife & 18-yr old daughter refused to shower. There was quite the dog smell when you entered the lobby and a Chewy.com box next to the front desk. The popcorn was a nice idea, but poorly executed (= untouchable). Outside the hotel was dirty and you could literally see blankets and pillows in the upstairs window storage room when we drove up. It is convenient to the park, but I made a big mistake booking here instead of the main hotel in the park for a mere $90 more.

Bathroom and floor in the room were dirty. The walls are paper thin, we could hear every move of the people above us and outside in the hallway. It was convenient to the National Park. Would not stay there again for the price we paid.

Super nice staff- room is updated and clean .LOVE that there is no carpet anywhere!!! Looks well care for and maintained.There are benches out side to use . The road is Rt 12 Main road to the pass - so road noise you won’t get away from it. Turn the fan on. New and Fresh is the vibe I got . This is March - So that to say off peak - but would stay again if they keep it maintained- as of today amazing!

The floors on the second floor are not quiet so every time someone above us walked across the floor it was loud and woke us up.

Good location for visiting the park. The lodge was nice and clean but extremely noisy. We could hear snoring from the room next to us, every movement from the room above and any hallway noises. Beyond that it is a decent place to stay if you are visiting the park.

The room is very clean, hardwood floor, furniture made in wood. The front desk is very understanding and hospital. If the bath room is also renovated, then the room would be 100% perfect. Anyway, for the charged price, the hotel is the best deal I can get.

There must be no insulation to drown out the noise with the people above you! We were on the 1st floor and had someone above us who liked to stomp and pace all night! Don’t stay here if you want to get a good nights sleep!

She was able to get me checked into my room early. They did have a soda machine I was not sure was out of order but I got refunded my quarters. Great place to stay, very nice.

The front desk staff was unpleasant. The hotel lost power and running water on our first night, and refused to offer a refund or discount for the inconvenience.

Front desk was helpful in answering questions about Mt. Rainier National Park and gave great food recommendations!

Every time I've stayed here (and it's been multiple times), the staff has always been super friendly and incredibly accommodating. Super clean rooms, easy parking, safe area and convenient location. Close enough to Packwood without having to be in the middle of town, which I loved.

An otherwise decent experience sullied by an extremely rude staff member at check in. The hotel had charged my card prior to arrival, which is normal and fine by me. But at check in, staff member “Ag” claimed that there was a state law that required my credit card to have printed numbers on it. I travel often, including in Washington state, and always using this credit card, and this is the first time I’m hearing of such a law. I’m happy for the property to point me to the law, but I suspect it just has antiquated processes. The staff member refused to view the credit card number available on my bank app, which would have matched what she saw in her records. Instead, she insisted that she would refund the card and would need a payment card with the number printed. Throughout this process, I was clarifying with her and asking about how my card would be refunded, and what alternative form of payment would be accepted. She was defensive and stated that we could “take our business elsewhere”. At one point she raised her voice and said loudly “don’t talk back to me” - ironic, given that she was cutting me off at various points and well, talking back to me. I don’t have high expectations of service. But I do expect to be treated with a basic level of respect as a paying customer. I also expect hotels to update their processes, and not give excuses like “it’s the law” when that’s not the case.

To be fair, the property is clean and comfortable. However, the front desk staff was quite unwelcoming during check-in. We arrived an hour early with a car full of luggage, but were bluntly told that early check-in was not possible and that they couldn’t store our bags. As a result, we had to visit the park with all our luggage in the car, which was inconvenient and disappointing. A bit more courtesy and flexibility would have made a big difference.

Functional hotel. Most unwelcoming front desk I have seen in 15 years of travel.

My wife and I stayed at the property for two nights. It was a clean, safe, quiet and comfortable place to rest and sleep after long hiking in the park. We saw some deers walking around the neighborhood. The staff were generally friendly, though I have seen better and warmer welcoming front desk. Morning coffee and popcorn were great. There are not a lot of food choices in the town. But we managed to have a dinner at the only Mexican restaurant and at cruiser’s pizza for both dinner and pizza (we love the foods).

Great location. The description says this is a "no-frills" hotel, but that probably undersells it. It doesn't have swimming pools or serve food, but the room we had was a good size, clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night and would definitely come back.

Had 2 rooms there for two evenings while touring Mtn Rainier. Clean rooms. Comfortable mattress'. Quiet at night. Close to the Stevens Canyon entrance of the park. Had dinner in Packwood at the Blue Spruce bar and grill and breakfast and Santo Milagro both of which were very good. No complaints at all. Would go back for sure.!

It says breakfast provided in Expedia, but actually not. They only provide free coffee, hot water for tea and hot chocolate pouches.

I liked that the hotel was rustic with modern amenities. We thought there was a breakfast but there is not.

Property was clean. Website still shows they have breakfast but they do not. Check out exactly on time or there will be a late fee. I understand check out times but never had a hotel charge for a few minutes. Otherwise nice place to stay for Packwood fkea market.

Caution! Website says breakfast is provided. It is NOT. Was told “we haven’t had breakfast in a long time.” False advertising which was disappointing as this was one of the reasons we chose to stay here.
