Great stay. Good sized room with everything I could need. clean and warm. Rooms located in building alongside pub so no noise or disturbance. Ate in the pub and found the food to be excellent quality and a very fair price. Very tasty A location I will happily return to

Was a great place to stay for my 1 night business trip. The room had ample coffee, tea and 2 bottles of water, with a handy sized fridge. The room was very warm and quiet. The pub was literally 10 seconds away across the car park. I had a great nights sleep with the comfy bed and pillows. Will stop again

Great little place! Would have loved to spent time in the pub, but our visit was for a wedding so missed out. Lovely room, staff and breakfast!

Third time we have stayed here which ought to say something. Very convenient for the A1 and the rooms are pleasant, clean and comfortable. As well as that the restaurant serve very good food at reasonable prices, as it was our final night of our holiday in Scotland and we were travelling home it was very welcome. Parking is convenient and close - just outside rooms.

The pub was very nice with a reasonable choice of beers and a wide choice of food. Breakfast was very good and served very quickly. The only little niggle was the £10 extra charge for the dog

The room was clean and large. There was a desk to work at and a sofa to relax on whilst watching TV. The room was serviced regularly and there was an abundance of tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I only managed breakfast once during my stay due to the time I started work. The breakfast was very good. I opted for the cooked breakfast but there was also cereal. There was a large variety of cooked options. On the days I didn’t have breakfast, I was given a packed lunch in lieu of not having the breakfast. I will definitely stay again when I’m working in the area.

This is a lovely place! The room was spacious and clean, the food excellent and cooked to order. I asked to stay an extra night but they were booked up. Not the best location if you’re relying on public transportation.

The room was very comfortable with everything we needed. It was clean and well maintained. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and the food on offer was delicious. It’s a very popular pub so advisable to book a table for dinner. Very convenient for exploring North Yorkshire. We would stay again.

We had a lovely one night stay and enjoyed our time there. The staff and host were all very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Dinner and breakfast were great and would highly recommend staying and dining. The room was extremely comfortable and warm and had been freshly renovated. We could have easily stayed here longer.

Very generous sized room for a great price. We had very satisfying cooked breakfast and two excellent evening meals. Eating in the lively bar was very enjoyable but had no welcoming atmosphere for breakfast. A little music perhaps would be appreciated. Lighting in the room was quite dimm making shaving, contact lens care tricky. Also ceiling light hanging down which looked quite dangerous. However, enjoyed the stay and had a good time

We had a lovely one night stay and enjoyed our time there. The staff and host were all very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Dinner and breakfast were great and would highly recommend staying and dining. The room was extremely comfortable and warm and had been freshly renovated. We could have easily stayed here longer.

I found the Old Oak Tree team to be very welcoming. The room size was fantastic as was the breakfast. The pub does evening meals and has a great choice of dishes to suit all palates. Whilst booking a table is definitely recommended as the venue is very popular both locally and further afield for their dishes. I can highly recommend the Old Oak Tree, I will certainly be staying there again. The Old Oak Tree is in the perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire.

Cant fault this place apart from the full breakfast coming without beans, but this was soon rectified. A vegan breakfast with oat milk was provided no problem.

Stayed for one night. Room was very confortable. Also ate at the pub for dinner, absolutely fantastic food which was also as good. Lovely area close to Thirsk, overall couldn’t fault it. Would happily go back.

This is a lovely place! The room was spacious and clean, the food excellent and cooked to order. I asked to stay an extra night but they were booked up. Not the best location if you’re relying on public transportation.

We had a lovely one night stay and enjoyed our time there. The staff and host were all very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Dinner and breakfast were great and would highly recommend staying and dining. The room was extremely comfortable and warm and had been freshly renovated. We could have easily stayed here longer.

I found the Old Oak Tree team to be very welcoming. The room size was fantastic as was the breakfast. The pub does evening meals and has a great choice of dishes to suit all palates. Whilst booking a table is definitely recommended as the venue is very popular both locally and further afield for their dishes. I can highly recommend the Old Oak Tree, I will certainly be staying there again. The Old Oak Tree is in the perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire.

Great value for money. The room was lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the pub has a cracking food menu. The pavlova was the best I've ever had. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay. Good sized room with everything I could need. clean and warm. Rooms located in building alongside pub so no noise or disturbance. Ate in the pub and found the food to be excellent quality and a very fair price. Very tasty A location I will happily return to

Cant fault this place apart from the full breakfast coming without beans, but this was soon rectified. A vegan breakfast with oat milk was provided no problem.

The room was clean and large. There was a desk to work at and a sofa to relax on whilst watching TV. The room was serviced regularly and there was an abundance of tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I only managed breakfast once during my stay due to the time I started work. The breakfast was very good. I opted for the cooked breakfast but there was also cereal. There was a large variety of cooked options. On the days I didn’t have breakfast, I was given a packed lunch in lieu of not having the breakfast. I will definitely stay again when I’m working in the area.

The room was very comfortable with everything we needed. It was clean and well maintained. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and the food on offer was delicious. It’s a very popular pub so advisable to book a table for dinner. Very convenient for exploring North Yorkshire. We would stay again.

This was one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. The decor was lovely and the room conveniently next to the pub. The only issues we had was the fan in the bathroom which was rather loud, especially in the night and the last orders for dinner being at 7.00pm, which seemed rather early. The breakfast was very good and of sufficient choice. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed for a visit to Thirsk races. Plenty of parking available. The room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Restaurant has an extensive menu and the food was excellent. Nice outdoor seating area as well.

Excellent small hotel and traditional pub, Food available in cosy pub with no loud music or fruit machines ringing in your ears allowing a pleasant meal and drinks either inside or outside at the back in a spacious patio area. Rooms are a good size and look newly refurbished with a large walk-in shower and plentiful hot water and large screen TV. I would stay again if in the area as my first choice.

What a fabulous stay at the Old Oak Tree...again! We've stayed here twice now and, whilst we stayed in 2 different rooms, they were both spotless with good quality furnishings. We had breakfast on both our visits...very good and plentiful - you won't leave hungry! The location is great, with a spacious carpark. The staff here are friendly and helpful, and the accommodation is attached to a fantastic pub...what more could you want? We will definitely be back.
