Figueira by The Beautique Hotels & Spa

My daughter and myself, had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff, food and atmosphere were amazing. We felt comfortable and cared for. The reception staff were particularly attentive, friendly and accommodating. However, the main reason for choosing this particular hotel, was the fact it advertised, as having a ‘SPA’… which we were absolutely looking forward to, as I suffer from neck and back strain. I had bought a new costume, and my daughter, a bikini, in anticipation. I also suffer from neck & shoulder pain. After the uncomfortable ‘plane sitting’, we were so looking forward to taking a comfortable rest in a sauna etc. We arrived… it was out of order. The person in that area apologised, but could not give a specific day as to when it would be fixed… But was offered a few options of massage, which was more unwanted expense for us. We went back each morning of our stay, but no luck… If it wasn’t for the whole hotel atmosphere and great staff, we would have stayed furious, although we were still very disappointed. We should have been warned beforehand and offered some kind of compensation, but this was amis… I would have given 5 stars, but for this experience, I can only give 4 stars.

Overall very nice! Gym was small. A few bugs in room. Otherwise great stay, good breakfast.

Great location and very helpful staff! We enjoyed a wonderful corner room (#203) on the Figueira Square. The decor was modern and unique and relatively quiet for a busy street. A few things could have made this four star hotel better… the shower was slow to drain and with a shallow shower pan, it could have been disastrous. There was no cream, no stir sticks and no spoons for the in-room coffee bar (delicious coffee, nonetheless). The gym was small, hot, and very dark…problematic for older eyes using machines labelled in Portuguese (no surprise). The wifi that worked flawlessly in the room was so weak that I gave up and used just music and there appeared to be no way to wipe down equipment pre or post- workout. In spite of these minor complaints, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Hotellet ligger perfekt i forhold til at opleve byen. Værelserne er ikke store, men indrettet godt. Personalet er hjælpsomt og taler godt engelsk. God bar og restaurant i indgangsområdet. Der er enkelte små detaljer, der virker lidt slidte (løst toiletbræt, knappen til udtræk sætter sig fast). Dette er dog ikke noget der ødelægger helhedsindtrykket, og vi vil vælge samme hotel igen.

Beautiful hotel. Great view over a beautiful large square. Very comfortable bed. Nice size room. Beautiful bath room. It was so convenient to have bar and restaurant right downstairs. Breakfast was nice and an acceeptable price at 10 Euros each. It was nice to have free minifridge items. Wonderful location. Lisbon is a wonderful place to visit!

Lighting can improve particularly in the gym which is extremely dark. The location is very convenient with only minutes walk to all types of transportation including Metro, tram and train. It takes less than 45 minutes to go to the airport by Metro with one transfer. Cruise terminal is also within walking distance.

Hotel was great, modern, clean, excellent location. Main floor bar and restaurant were excellent. Rooms were well maintained. Older building in historic area done with modern style. Only issues, lighting in bathroom was dark, no fan in washroom. minor issues. Overall great value. They even acknowledged our special occasion with a personal note, very nice people.

Had a wonderful relaxing stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with good shower and toilet facilities. More lighting would help in the rooms as the green colour made it a little bit darker than we wanted but this is a minor comment. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and fresh fruits and everything you want for a nice relaxing breakfast. The hotels location in the centre made everywhere easy to get to on foot. The spa facilities also looked good but we never had the opportunity to use them as Lisbon has so much to offer. Hotel choice of everything being dark green in colour is interesting but that’s down to personal taste. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quality hotel in a wonderful city.

From 3/19/25 to 3/26/25 very uncomfortable stay. We were assigned to a room, #502, with multiple issues. AC wasn’t working resulting in stagnant air. We had 6 restless sleep out of 7 nights stay. Complaining repeatedly to the front desk, but they did nothing to fix the broken AC and no one suggested we could switch room until Monday night, Nuno, came up to our room and confirmed the dysfunctional AC and allowed us to change room the following day, March 25. TV remote control and in room phone broke but were fixed later on. The water sometimes lukewarm, not hot. We had to grip the the narrow shower head when showering because of the 1/3 of the shower door only covered small area of the bathtub, the water would have flooded the entire bathroom if the slim shower head wasn’t held firmly so it’s impossible to wash hair. The guy (did not get his name) who received us upon arrival at the hotel on March 19, was weird asking us for our credit card information, asking him why he said in case we want to have breakfast at the hotel and want to use SPA. We told him, if that happens we would provide credit card information but not beforehand.

Well located property. Unique design and great rooms. Great restaurant for breakfast. Hotel does require more attentive maintenance, repairs and housekeeping.

Excellent location in the heart of the city. Convenient and walking distance to most sights, with food options aplenty. However, the property appears to be a little tired and furniture could use some update. The toilet was also a squeeze and the shower doors do not shut entirely. Overall, it was an okay stay if you prioritise convenience.

Trevlig personal, vänliga och bra bemötande. Läget på hotellet var också bra och överlag smidigt och fint. Men städningen av rummet gjordes lite sent och framåt 16-17 tiden vilket var lite trist då vi varit iväg hela dagen och turistat och ville bara kasta oss i sängen och vila lite.

The rooms were not clean and the hotel overall is very worn. The breakfast staff were completely unhelpful and generally lazy and rude. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. I would suggest finding a different hotel.

An amazing stay here - bed was so comfy and the location was great - it was a bit dark in the shower - lighting bit the best but a great experience overall - and a great view of Rossio square

This property could not have a more perfect location. It is a safe area and close to 2 squares where we saw some markets set up throughout the week. There are also a ton of restaurants and cafes nearby plus tram and metro stations. Regarding our stay, however, there were a few things that reduce my rating. First of all, the room is extremely dark - more lighting is needed. It's nearly impossible to put on makeup and so little light is let in. And ironically, some of the lights are like a laserbeam in your eyes as you lay on the bed. The electronic blinds were glitchy, but eventually worked if we pressed the buttons in enough random ways. The shower has no curtain and a tiny wall - the first day, the shower head (which is only a handheld unit) was positioned directly at the back wall, so we flooded not only the bathroom but part of the bedroom by just turning on the water for a few minutes. Finally, there was construction going on directly behind our head every weekday morning starting at 8am. Constant banging of hammers, power tools and metal scraping made it laughable to try to sleep in or adjust to the time change.

Hotel location was great for a pre cruise visit. Room was small and bed was against a mirror wall on one wide. Had to climb over each other to get into bed. Breakfast was very good. Nice and helpful staff

We had a lovely two night break here, the staff were so friendly and were happy to help at all times! They added special touches for my room as it was a surprise trip for my husband. The hotel has a really modern, unusual style which made it different! The room we had was lovely albeit with the king size bed up against a wall. The room was exceptionally clean, with lovely high ceilings and large windows. We particularly enjoyed the window seat. The shower room was great, with a very powerful shower. The downside to our room was that it was warm, despite travelling in early Feb. The air con although set to its lowest of 16, just didn’t work. I’m sure though that if we had mentioned this the staff wouldve helped, but we weren’t there long. We had to sleep with the windows open which was extremely noisy because of the hotels central buzzy location. The breakfast was very tasty with a fabulous selection of options. However, the hot food was not warm at all, and actually was cold on our first breakfast. Overall I’d recommend this hotel for a super central location, friendly staff, and unusual style/decor! We had a lovely time, thank you!

The hotel was a very cool place, maybe a bit dark for me but in a perfect area-close to most things. There are lots of restaurants & coffee places near by. The first room we had (108) was a very strange room with no room to put things down The bed took up most of the room hence you couldn't walk around the bed- had to climb over the bottom of the bed to get into the other side of bed plus a step to navigate - it was so impractical & difficult! The shower is also not the best as it makes such a mess on the floor. Plus there is quite a bit of noise from places below being on the 1st floor. But thankfully they moved us the next day to another room which was so much better. The breakfast is very good value.

The pro is the location, right in where you want to be, close to all the famous sights in Lisbon, Rossio metro and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. The problems were the rooms. We had to switch a room because the shower curtain didn’t hold the shower in so the water spilled out to the floor. The other room had problem with the shower enclosure too. The furnitures are all made of iron. Why on earth! So watch out don’t hit yourself. And the cell phones and tablets all stick to the table surface because of the magnet. There is also a big old dial phone taking up the precious table space. The toilet flush is weak but the toilet paper is thick, a bad combination. The rooms also need more power outlets. The rooms honestly need a renovation to fit the more modern lifestyle of the travelers.

You can't beat the central location of this hotel, but its decor is depressing and bizarre! The design of the hotel is very dark, and the room, although it had a comfortable bed and was clean, was dark. The design choices were quite confusing, as the hallways leading to the rooms were poorly lit, and so was the bathroom! The breakfast buffet was good. The room was clean, but we were glad we were only staying here for one night before our flight back home.

My booking at the hotel was canceled as they're we're overbooked & put me in another hotel nearby much to my disappointment... I never stayed in the hotel.

Amazing place and location. The staff were second to none! Would highly recommend and I definitely will be staying there again in the future. 10/10.

Excelente localização, atendimento impecável (Bruna e Adilson). Precisamos sair de madrugada, a Bruna providenciou um lanche para cada um de nós (4) pois não desfrutaríamos do pequeno almoço. É a segunda vez que me hospedo nesse hotel.

We were supposed to stay at the Figueira hotel, but they overbooked the hotel and didn't notify us until we got there that they moved us to another hotel entirely. This was their sister property, the Madalena. Overall, the Madalena was nice, but had a number of quirks and oddities that made it somewhat of a letdown. Pros: - Staff was nice and helpful - Hotel aesthetic was quirky and fun - The hotel location was fantastic as it was right downtown near many things to do Cons: - The biggest con by far was the bathroom in the room, or lack thereof. There is no separate bathroom in the room, rather just an individually gated toilet and shower that are in the hallway when entering the room. This made them awkward to use. Using the shower meant leaving water in the main hallway afterwards, making the floor wet and slippery. We also had to put the bathmat IN the shower because of how slippery the floor was. The toilet didn't have a fan or separate room so everything was audible (and smellible) to the main living area, if you catch my drift. The TV had to be turned on to attempt to mute sounds. Overall, the bathroom experience was very strange and awkward. - The breakfast was subpar compared to other 4 star hotels we stayed in in Portugal. Not many hot breakfast items (eg pancakes, waffles, eggs) and certain things weren't labeled. (Meats, Cheeses, which milk was which, etc.) Not awful, but not outstanding.

Very much liked this hotel . Good location , very friendly & helpful staff especially Elvis on arrival but everyone we spoke to was equally good plus a nice breakfast with eggs, fresh fruit , cheese , yoghurt etc

Zentrale Lage, trotzdem ruhig. Zimmer bequem und gut ausgestattet. Frühstück umfangreich und gut.

Super dejligt hotel meget centralt i gå afstand til det meste. Metro lige uden for døren så det er nemt at komme til fra lufthavnen, ca 30 min. God morgenmads buffet til prisen.

Very nice hotel, great decor. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, we asked for a room on the 4th floor, had a little balcony that looked out to the side street but could also see Praça da Figueira. Great location, Rossio Metro is across the street, less than a 10 minute walk to Praça do Comercio. Had such a great stay, would definitely book this hotel again.

Our shower leaked all over the bathroom floor after every use. As we were facing the main street and on the first floor, we heard the trolleys, cars, regular street noise and revellers/vagrants screaming in the wee hours of the morning. The hotel however was central to everything we wanted to see and very close to every kind of transportation. Also the breakfast buffet was quite good and the staff was incredibly nice and polite.

O hotel é bem localizado, com quartos espaçosos e boa amenities. O café da manhã é excelente. Só não é excelente, porque tem decoração muito escura, para meu gosto, e o acesso para o banho é muito alto, o que pode afetar idosos. Café da manhã é amenities são realmente acima do esoerado

Loved the hotel and its location. Restaurant and staff… great! Just need to relocate the coffee machine in the rooms to be more user friendly for shorter people.
