We were on foot, having arrived in a taxi from the train. We are both 75 and were sent to a room outside and apart from the hotel, on the second floor with no elevator. I almost fell with my bag going up the stairs. No one was available to help us. Even though the hotel lobby was warm and lovely, our room was very sparse and mediocre. It was a bit of a disappointment.

Even though this is an older motel the lobby and rooms have been nicely updated. Unfortunately the care and attention has not extended to the exterior. All in all a reasonable place to stay for a night.

Check in was very friendly and the hotel lobby is very nice. When I got to my room at first impression it did seem clean. Bathroom was clean and floors were clean throughout. But I turned down the first bed and noticed the sheets were dirty - lots of hair and food crumbs. Turned down the second bed and it was even worse - found hair and blood on sheets. I was too tired from traveling to request a room change so I slept on top of bedding in my full clothing because the sheets were so gross. I even kept my sweatshirt hoodie on because the pillowcases were also dirty and I didn’t want my head to touch them. Needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep in these conditions and I would not stay here again.

A real pleasant surprise. This is an older hotel but it has been redone and it was an excellent job. Very clean and well appointed. Staff was very helpful.

The smell in the room was overwhelming. The light outside our room door was not functioning. The door lock was duct taped to the door. The peep hole in the door had a tissue stuffed in it. The ceiling tiles were dirty with a hole one tile covered with tape. There was no coffee or pot but there was a coffee machine. The carpet was dirty. There was no TV channel guide or motel directory. The breakfast was horrible-hard inedible French toast sticks, watery eggs.

The smell in the room was overwhelming. The light outside our room door was not functioning. The door lock was duct taped to the door. The peep hole in the door had a tissue stuffed in it. The ceiling tiles were dirty with a hole one tile covered with tape. There was no coffee or pot but there was a coffee machine. The carpet was dirty. There was no TV channel guide or motel directory. The El Rancho is nicely amd tastefully updated. Price was great. Nice breakfast. The channel selection was a bit limited, but that is a minor thing. The only problem was that we could not access the internet. We could log on, but the signal was so slow we could not download podcasts. (I think the thick brick walls probably impede the wifi signal.) In the lobby, the wifi was fine.

The street noise is unpleasant to say the least. Had to sleep with the air conditioning fan running or the traffic noise was unbearable. The building is very old but the inside has been remodeled and done quite nicely.

Chose this hotel for the location, close to restaurants. Decorated nicely,two vanities, one inside bathroom one outside, bathroom. Comfortable seating, newly redecorated,clean bathroom and shower. Would stay here again plus the price was reasonable.

Overall we are so thankful to the staff at this hotel. We were there due to a family emergency and they were very flexible in working with us, especially not knowing from day to day what to expect regarding departure. The more challenging part for them, which did impact guest services, was being short staffed especially on the weekend. However, if we needed clean linen all we needed to do was bring our dirty linen to the front desk and they would give us clean in return. The free breakfast was there every morning with good choices to make. Would we stay there again? Absolutely.

Overall we are so thankful to the staff at this hotel. We were there due to a family emergency and they were very flexible in working with us, especially not knowing from day to day what to expect regarding departure. The more challenging part for them, which did impact guest services, was being short staffed especially on the weekend. However, if we needed clean linen all we needed to do was bring our dirty linen to the front desk and they would give us clean in return. The free breakfast was there every morning with good choices to make. Would we stay there again? Absolutely.

Very dirty property. No pride from hotel owners. Unbelievable for the price they charge. Rooms smell, like mould, carpets are dirty (could be cleaned by a cleaner), hair in the bed, curtains are chewed up, property littered with garbage that didn’t just blow in. This hotel has unreal potential. Unreal. A bit of love and pride would go a very long way.

Location was good, breakfast had nice selection, room was very large. Lots of workers stay at the motel. People have no consideration for other guests. Until late at night, in several rooms, people had loud music and were talking very loud. For that reason we can't give a better rating.

We had a slight issu with the plug ins and our cap for both of us but the girl quickly found extension cord to solve the problem. Stay here. Very comfortable
