It's important to understand that staying in a Cairo neighborhood is vastly different than staying at a Nile river resort. Giza, near the Pyramids is gritty. It's safe, but it's definitely not fancy. The hotel is wonderful. Breakfast is good. There is no elevator.

I had a room with an amazing view of the pyramids and Sphinx! Plus the rooftop had the same great views. I watched the light show from the roof. Its location right at the gate was also great. Staff was great. Really a wonderful stay. I wished I had more than 2 nights there. I would definitely go back.

Familiäres Hotel. Sehr nettes und extrem hilfsbereites Personal, man hat sich super um unser Wohl gekümmert. Blick aus dem Zimmer auf die Pyramiden perfekt. Die Dachterrasse ist ein Traum, besserer Blick geht nicht, nicht überlaufen, man hat seine Ruhe und keine starke Beleuchtung stört den abendlichen Blick, wie es auf den umliegenden Terrassen der Fall ist. Man kann 24h die Terrasse nutzen. Frühstück war nicht so unser Fall aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Bad klein aber sehr sauber. Wir hatten dank dem Guardian guest house einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt in Kairo.

Lovely hotel with a view of the Pyramids and Sphinx right in front of you from the large window in the room and from the rooftop terrace. Too bad there is no elevator, but the staff helped me carry my luggage. I would stay there again.

朝食はピラミッドが一望できるルーフトップで食べました。ルーフトップは素晴らしい眺めで、とても静かな場所でずっと居たくなりました。部屋からもピラミッドとスフィンクスが見えました。スタッフの皆さんもとても親切で素晴らしいです。シャワーもお湯が出て快適でした。ギザに来たらまた泊まりたいです。本当に素晴らしいホテルでした。

場所は言うまでもなくスフィンクスの視線の先でルーフトップからの眺めが良かったです。Wi-Fiは若干弱めです。ドライヤーはありませんが冬場以外は自然乾燥するかと思います(あくまで男性は)。室内に冷蔵庫があります。朝食は確かにしょぼいかもしれません(笑)スタッフはみなさん親切てした。一人旅の方には自信を持ってオススメできます。

An amazing location where we were able to wake up to views of the Sphinx and Pyramids each morning! The rooftop terrace was perfect to watch the evening light and sound show. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, offering great suggestions for local food and souvenirs. Not knowing what to expect in Egypt, we felt very safe in the area, so would highly recommend this to other travelers!

Großartige Mitarbeiter und hervorragende Location, direkt gegenüber der Sphinx. Vermutlich die beste Location in Giza um den Sonnenuntergang auf der Dachterasse zu verfolgen. Außerdem kann man die Lightshow der Pyramiden kostenlos ansehen.

The room was very small, and the bed sheets had stains. The building had no elevator, and the staircase was extremely narrow and hot, with no one available to help me carry my luggage. The key I was given could not open the main door. At night, the receptionist was asleep, and even ringing the doorbell did not wake anyone. As a result, I was locked outside past midnight for more than half an hour.

ピラミッド目の前（徒歩1分）にあるホテル。地球の歩き方で発見し宿泊。 20時のチェックインだったが問題なく対応してもらえた。英語通じる。一族経営のようで穏やかなスタッフだった。 1番の魅力はなんの障害もなくピラミッドを見渡せること。朝、数種類のパンが用意されているので、食べながら日の出鑑賞（太陽とピラミッドは逆側なので日の出とピラミッドを同時に見られるわけではない）。ピラミッドのライトアップショーは水〜土曜とのことで（2024年1月時点）、そこに合わせれば朝夜ともに楽しめる。 車通りが多いので夜は少し騒がしい。 清潔感ある部屋、シャワーもしっかり出る。 安心して泊まれるホテルだと感じた。

Excellent location immediately across from the Sphinx and pyramids, and seconds away from the pedestrian entrance to the pyramids. Staff were amazing and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Internet was good enough. Roof top offers a great view and chairs/tables to enjoy a drink or meal while staring at the pyramids. The new entrance to the pyramids for vehicles (guides/buses) is on the far side of the great pyramid and about a 10-minute drive away. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel.

Akmed, helped us a lot…cannot eat in the room. Dusty furniture. But they served satisfying breakfast. Best place to see the Pyramids from your room window. Don’t pay for the light and sound show

Location to destination very accessible. Property location perfect. Nice and friendly front desk staff. All good except the hallway / stairway going up to the hotel rooms and front desk stinks. It smells like old dried fish. Walls needs to be washed and scented I guess. The place location is perfect.

A lovely old Egyptian house feel inside this lovely guesthouse, in a well appointed position, right over looking the Sphinx and Giza Pyramids. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The night was a little noisy with the window open with packs of street dogs enjoying themselves and as it happens...building and repair works at the pyramids themselves taking place in the cool of the night - but one could shut curtains and put an air conditioner on. Perfect.

An amazing location where we were able to wake up to views of the Sphinx and Pyramids each morning! The rooftop terrace was perfect to watch the evening light and sound show. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, offering great suggestions for local food and souvenirs. Not knowing what to expect in Egypt, we felt very safe in the area, so would highly recommend this to other travelers!

The hotel staffs are very nice & accommodating. The view from the roof top is excellent & the breakfast is decent. However this area is very noisy. We heard people talking/yelling in the street & lots of dogs barking all night, which made it very hard for us to sleep. Due to its proximity to the pyramids, it’s a good hotel for a 1 or 2 nights stay. Btw, the Pyramid restaurant close to the hotel has excellent foods. Their grilled lamb chop is excellent

I had a room with an amazing view of the pyramids and Sphinx! Plus the rooftop had the same great views. I watched the light show from the roof. Its location right at the gate was also great. Staff was great. Really a wonderful stay. I wished I had more than 2 nights there. I would definitely go back.

Located very conveniently across from the pyramids, so easy access to visit there. The staff even helped me get my tickets without having to wait in the long line. There is a tour company owned by the sane people who own the hotel so it was easy to get day tours added onto my stay for Cairo, Saqqara, and Memphis. The driver and guide I was provided were excellent. The area around the hotel has some shops and dining options, but a lot of loud nightly construction was going on right outside my room, so I did not sleep very well during my stay. The staff, however, were great. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was decent aside from no fresh coffee being available, only instant.

For those who are solo travelers and looking for in-person service and security, I highly recommend Guardian Guest House. Special thanks to Ratiba, Mahmoud and his brother, Mohammed the driver. Mahmoud and his brother were able to book a tour to Luxor for me last minute, and accommodate with other tours. It was a pleasure to travel with Mohammed, was so kind to treat me with felafel and beans egg wrap. We drove to a lady who was giving away free home cooked food, it’s delicious. What a beautiful area to spend 8 nights! A family operated business with a welcoming air, very accommodating, kind and welcoming! Thank You to Ahmed and Mahmoud who were always there to take care of any of my needs! Used Guardian house service for a day excursion to Alexandria and thoroughly enjoyed my day. Folks who run this property are very very nice (Ahmed and Mohammad). They will not look out for money in every request that customers make. They will not take your advantage. This is the unique point we have observed in Egypt because every other person we met on our Egypt trip has taken our advantage of being a foreigner and we had no option. I highly recommend this place.

The room was very small, and the bed sheets had stains. The building had no elevator, and the staircase was extremely narrow and hot, with no one available to help me carry my luggage. The key I was given could not open the main door. At night, the receptionist was asleep, and even ringing the doorbell did not wake anyone. As a result, I was locked outside past midnight for more than half an hour.

絶景です。ピラミッドを開場時間以外も見られるのはとても価値あります。ずっと見てても飽きませんでした。Pyramid Viewの部屋がおすすめですが、City Viewでも2階の食堂か屋上から眺められるので問題ありません。 ビルの上の方に施設名を書いているだけで入り口のドアに記載されていないためわかりにくいです。ロックされているので呼び鈴を鳴らして開錠してもらって2階迄上がってください。

We were there for the view, and oh what a view from our window, pyramids and the Sphinx! At checkin we were welcomed as family and treated as such with every question we had. The included breakfast buffet is large and has varied options. The property is vintage and could use some spiffy-ing and the area is not as appealing as some but we knew that when booking, it’s part of the experience. Location is across the street from the Giza pyramid complex entrance and a close Uber trip to the Grand Egyptian Museum which served us well for a few days in that area.

Excellent location immediately across from the Sphinx and pyramids, and seconds away from the pedestrian entrance to the pyramids. Staff were amazing and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Internet was good enough. Roof top offers a great view and chairs/tables to enjoy a drink or meal while staring at the pyramids. The new entrance to the pyramids for vehicles (guides/buses) is on the far side of the great pyramid and about a 10-minute drive away. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel.

It's important to understand that staying in a Cairo neighborhood is vastly different than staying at a Nile river resort. Giza, near the Pyramids is gritty. It's safe, but it's definitely not fancy. The hotel is wonderful. Breakfast is good. There is no elevator.

Familiäres Hotel. Sehr nettes und extrem hilfsbereites Personal, man hat sich super um unser Wohl gekümmert. Blick aus dem Zimmer auf die Pyramiden perfekt. Die Dachterrasse ist ein Traum, besserer Blick geht nicht, nicht überlaufen, man hat seine Ruhe und keine starke Beleuchtung stört den abendlichen Blick, wie es auf den umliegenden Terrassen der Fall ist. Man kann 24h die Terrasse nutzen. Frühstück war nicht so unser Fall aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Bad klein aber sehr sauber. Wir hatten dank dem Guardian guest house einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt in Kairo.

My stay at the Guardian Guest House was outstanding. Each day's breakfast was delicious, the view of the pyramids (both from my room and the rooftop patio) was unbeatable, and the family who runs this property were super kind and accommodating. I will absolutely come and stay again.

Wow. Todo estuvo increíble. La vista de la habitación es maravillosa, imagina despertar con vista a las pirámides de Giza. El personal es súper amable, se preocupan porque estes cómodo y seguro. Todos los días nos prepararon omelette de desayunar y todo el día hay agua, café y té. Es un hotel que simplemente no le pide nada a los hoteles de 5 estrellas pues no eres un cliente más. Not knowing what to expect in Egypt, we felt very safe in the area, so would highly recommend this to other travelers!
An amazing location where we were able to wake up to views of the Sphinx and Pyramids each morning! The rooftop terrace was perfect to watch the evening light and sound show. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, offering great suggestions for local food and souvenirs. Not knowing what to expect in Egypt, we felt very safe in the area, so would highly recommend this to other travelers!

The hotel staffs are very nice & accommodating. The view from the roof top is excellent & the breakfast is decent. However this area is very noisy. We heard people talking/yelling in the street & lots of dogs barking all night, which made it very hard for us to sleep. Due to its proximity to the pyramids, it’s a good hotel for a 1 or 2 nights stay. Btw, the Pyramid restaurant close to the hotel has excellent foods. Their grilled lamb chop is excellent

The guardian guesthouse was a great spot to stay and see the pyramids. The staff went out of their way to make our stay welcoming and help us with all our questions. We love the rooftop deck and ate breakfast there every morning.

While it is simpler and less fancy than nearby hotels, this property offers a wonderful value for any traveler. The guest house is run by a family that has lived there for generations. They are gracious and kind. They do not hassle you to buy knickknacks or trips you don’t need, though they will help arrange trips if you ask. The front desk is available 24 hours per day. The breakfast is mostly local foods but adequate for any tastes. The best thing about this hotel is the rooftop, which has a direct view of the sphinx and pyramids without obstruction. It is literally right across the street. The rooftop is open 24 hours. Laundry service is available and very affordable but it does not come back folded. However, there is an iron and ironing board available for all guests to use. They do not have a restaurant, but there are many good restaurants just a short walk away ( try Restaurant Pyramids, El Gizawy, or Abo Emad) . The downside is that if you have a physical disability this hotel would not be for you. There are stairs but no elevator. Also there is some loud (sometimes obnoxious) music from an adjacent hotel in the neighborhood that can interrupt the serenity of the rooftop in the evening but that is true for every hotel in the area and not something that the guesthouse can control. We have stayed with this family 4 times in past trips to Egypt, and we will do so again in the future.

Third stay at the best dollar-for-dollar hotel in the world. It's not the Ritz, but the staff are friendly, the rooms, though basic, are clean and comfortable, and the view of the pyramids, from room or roof, is unmatched, particularly at sunrise and sundown. It's also 20m from the secondary entrance to the pyramid complex, so you can be on site first thing in the morning before it gets too hot.
