Whilst still in the budget range this hotel offers a homely and tranquil stay with decent quality furnishings (which is a pleasant change) good facilities and an amazing english breakfast. Top of the list for my next stay in Preston. Thank you

It is difficult to find good quality accommodation at a reasonable price in Preston, but St Andrews House provides exactly that. It is clean, with fresh decor and is a friendly, homely hotel. You get comfortable accommodation with good sized TV, tea and coffee facilities and a powerful efficient shower in the bathrooms. Any faults are very minor such as basin and bath plugs not attached to the chains and hand wash in the bathrooms but no shower gel provided. We always bring our own anyway! You get a good breakfast included in the price. Although its a good 30 minute walk from the city centre, there are plenty of shops, bars etc nearby and several bus routes within a 5 minute walk. Taxis are fairly low cost here as well. All in all, this hotel is excellent value for money and we will certainly stay here again next time we're in Preston.

Booked double room very compact, nicely refurbished and looking clean. Would have preferred a room where there was a bit more space and the windows were far more accessible as so high up therefore no view and personally made me feel quite claustrophobic,also because room small and although there was a chair there was no room to move it from the position in which it was 'crammed' . Also I would have preferred fresher looking and smelling bed linen and towels, didn't mind that they were rough towels but they didn't look or smell freshly laundered.

Although the room was clean, there was a blood stain on the duvet cover and the room had such an overwhelming smell of scent that I found it hard to breath and woke up with a bad headache. The cooked breakfast was good.

We was a family of four staying at the hotel the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us ,the room was spacious and very clean the bathroom was enormous we had a a full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection so would definitely recommend this hotel

Booked a room for 55£ too small looks like a prison cell Tv is facing different direction asked to change rooms told to pay 15£ extra.Next room too noisy like being on the motorway no shower gel not worth the money at all will never or wish anyone to pay for that place

Extremely noisy was like being on a race track. Very small room, photo of room I booked showed an unsuite but had to share shower & toilet. Kettle would not fit under tap in bedroom to fill. This said the staff were lovely & so was breakfast . But would not return

We stayed here for one night in a family room.two lovely double beds and a single bed. The bathroom was gorgeous very tidy and clean the whole property and the staff were extremely friendly. Would have no issue staying here again

Easy bus ride from the train station. Ann who was on reception on 31st October, very friendly. Nice cooked breakfast & filter coffee. In room 2, the water pressure kept dropping in the shower. Apologies, forgot to mention on checkout. Would stay there again.

This is a small, family-run hotel in the north of Preston. We stayed here for one night as we came home from holiday. The hotel was perfectly good for these purposes. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant and friendly. If I have one criticism it is that the hotel is next to a busy road and so it can be noisy if you like to sleep with a window open (as I do).

Spent one night only as it was our grandsons graduation at the local uni.We had a five hour journey to get here and the welcome was much appreciated. Had a spacious clean room with tea making facilities.comfortable twin beds. Very friendly and helpful as the kind lady in reception allowed us access into the breakfast room before the official time as we had to leave early.

It was a bit strange to have to phone the hotel on arrival to discover how to actually get into the hotel and check in. When we discovered that there was no soap or shampoo, we thought it was an error on behalf of the cleaning staff. On asking, we were told that soap and shampoo were only given at weekends! Told that we hadn't brought any of our own (on Wednesday) we were given both soap and shampoo. Seems very strange to us! The bed was rather hard for us, but that was a personal view to us. On the positive side, the breakfast was very good.

I've now stayed at St Andrews House Hotel a number of times in the past few weeks. Each stay has given me consistently good and warm service. Very helpful team of people supporting everyone's stay. Breakfast is really nice and because I rush in the mornings, the staff packs the breakfast for me too. Overall, really nice hotel to stay in with very good staff!!

Very friendly and helpful. Adapted our arrangements to accommodate our stay. Surprising very quiet despite being on a main road. Lorriane and her team were really lovely. We completely felt at home and relaxed.

Taxis are fairly low cost here as well. All in all, this hotel is excellent value for money and we will certainly stay here again next time we're in Preston.

This is a small, family-run hotel in the north of Preston. We stayed here for one night as we came home from holiday. The hotel was perfectly good for these purposes. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant and friendly. If I have one criticism it is that the hotel is next to a busy road and so it can be noisy if you like to sleep with a window open (as I do).

Reasonably priced, very good breakfast, warm room. Was able to check in late, which meant i didnt have to waste some of the day. Nothing i didnt like.

I've now stayed at St Andrews House Hotel a number of times in the past few weeks. Each stay has given me consistently good and warm service. Very helpful team of people supporting everyone's stay. Breakfast is really nice and because I rush in the mornings, the staff packs the breakfast for me too. Overall, really nice hotel to stay in with very good staff!!

Lorraine was super friendly and helpful. The room was perfect for just a nights stop. You get what you pay for, it was cheap and cheerful and the breakfast was tasty!

We was a family of four staying at the hotel the staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us ,the room was spacious and very clean the bathroom was enormous we had a a full English breakfast which was cooked to perfection so would definitely recommend this hotel

Nice clean hotel. Very accommodating to our needs had to leave really early one day. Let us have breakfast early. Would stay there again.

We had a most pleasant stay here. Staff were very welcoming and most helpful. The room was clean and spacious, nice to have tea/coffee in the room. Surroundings were very quiet. The breakfast choices were amazing and very delicious.

Sorry to have to say this but this hotel is really not great, even for the price. They advertise as 'no dogs allowed' (fair enough and something I don't disagree with) yet when I went to check in, upon walking through the front door the first thing that struck me was the overwhelming smell of dog, and to be greeted by two loud dogs barking at me behind the small check in desk before any member of staff appeared. Room was basic and not a lot of attention has gone into cleaning it. Thick layers of dust along the windowsills, cobwebs on the windows, bedside lamp absolutely filthy. The bedding was clean though and the bed comfortable enough. Absolutely freezing cold shower first thing in the morning, which at any price is absolutely unacceptable. I was just staying for one night in between work meetings in Lancashire so I dealt with it but really there are far better options. I don't like to say this about an independent business, but you're better off just staying in a Travelodge for the same price range.

Thanks for the email on instructions how to enter property. I could have done with this before I got to the hotel, not the Sunday after. The guy who did meet me said ringo did not work because he was in an internet black spot. Hotel phone number, no one answered. Room 1 was fine but no hot or even warm water from the shower. I was told he had adjusted the shower after complaints it went hot and cold. Well he’s done that all right. Breakfast Ok. Bit disappointed to be honest, good job I had a lovely time in Preston.
