Whirlpools mit Talblick und ein entspannter Loungebereich mit Bar tragen zum Reiz bei. Zu den häufigsten Kritikpunkten gehören dünne Wände, kleine Badezimmer und kleinere Mängel, die von einigen Gästen festgestellt wurden. Lovely quiet location. The room was cozy and welcoming. There is a wonderful view of the landscape from the lobby/bar, making it a perfect place to relax with a cocktail in the evening and do some birdwatching in the morning. Great breakfast included.

Enjoyed seeing the amazing view of the Northern Lights every night we were there. First from the hot tub, then above my cabin. The next night from the main lodge! I had an amazing Mojito while I enjoyed the view! The staff were kind, and accommodating, breakfast was very good also. Thank you for a great stay!

This place was such a gem! Loved it! We loved getting drinks and going in the hot tub! The walls in the room are in so just beware, hopefully you don’t have neighbors like us who are up all night talking loudly, but either way it was still a great stay

It was a last minute booking for us. But no regrets at all, excellent cozy place. Amazing staff. Rooms are simple and cozy. The lodge is far from the city lights and helps a lot if you wanna spot the northern lights. Plus, they also have 2 hot tubs were you can enjoy at night seeing the northern lights.

The area is okay, but can tell the property is a little bit rundown with creaking floor sound and thin walls. Certain parts of the floor are also rotten and old. Toilet is very small as well. But the reception area is beautiful and the breakfast is the best we had throughout our trip. The staff are rather nice as well.

This hotel was a great find! The location feels so far away and isolated all by itself - the peaceful nature is great yet town is only 5 minutes away. We had room 14 which faced a wide open field and lucky for us, we could see the Northern Lights from our room - our bed, actually! Great to be nice and warm and pop out onto the deck to take photos instead of being out in some random field. The room was very clean and modern - a nice woodsy feel. The only negative would be that the walls are pretty thin - every movement next door sounded like was in your own room. But we were able to get over that given the amazing view and niceness of the property. The breakfast was good - a mix of hot and cold foods and the staff was friendly. Definitely recommend this spot!

This hotel is in a convenient spot right off the ring road. It is easy to find, and was well stocked with needed ammenities for our stay. The breakfast was excellent (we loved the espresso machine), and we appreciated that it came free with our night’s stay. Be forewarned- the walls are thin and noises carry!

L'hotel si raggiunge con un breve tratto di strada non asfaltata, è circondato da prateria e la vista è spettacolare. La stanza è piccola ma confortevole, con ambia doccia e ottimi prodotti da bagno. La colazione è di buona qualità e ricca. Sono anche disponibili due vasche di acqua calda con vista panoramica. E' stata una magnifica esperienza.

Aurora Lodge Hotel exceeded our expectations. We had a lovely 1 night stay here. The rooms are well decorated with a great view, the hotel receptionist was very friendly and provided great recommendations. The breakfast was one of the best breakfast we had at Iceland! The only regret we had was not staying longer at the Lodge.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! Away from the roads, surrounded by open fields and horses, you get stunning views right outside your room door. The food was phenomenal. We didn’t eat anywhere else because we enjoyed it so much. The staff was kind and so welcoming. I want to go back to Iceland just to stay here again.

When we turned off the road toward the property, we thought our GPS wasn't working. It looked like we were going out into a beautiful, remote area with nothing but views. True, except for the wonderful cabins and main area of this property. Really nice and quiet and remote with beautiful views everywhere. A short drive to local eateries and a great stop on the tour of Iceland

We had room 14 which faced a wide open field and lucky for us, we could see the Northern Lights from our room - our bed, actually! Great to be nice and warm and pop out onto the deck to take photos instead of being out in some random field. The room was very clean and modern - a nice woodsy feel. The only negative would be that the walls are pretty thin - every movement next door sounded like was in your own room. But we were able to get over that given the amazing view and niceness of the property. The breakfast was good - a mix of hot and cold foods and the staff was friendly. Definitely recommend this spot!

My husband and I loved this place. We would definitely go back. Very cozy and cute. Good food, nice area off the beaten path. Hot tub was very nice. For us, it was perfect.

This hotel is in a convenient spot right off the ring road. It is easy to find, and was well stocked with needed ammenities for our stay. The breakfast was excellent (we loved the espresso machine), and we appreciated that it came free with our night’s stay. Be forewarned- the walls are thin and noises carry!

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! Away from the roads, surrounded by open fields and horses, you get stunning views right outside your room door. The food was phenomenal. We didn’t eat anywhere else because we enjoyed it so much. The staff was kind and so welcoming. I want to go back to Iceland just to stay here again.

Esse hotel foi uma boa surpresa. Diferente dos demais em que me hospedei nessa viagem, não fica na beira da estrada principal, mas para dentro com acesso por uma pequena estrada de pedras pretas. A sensação é de estar imerso na natureza, algumas cabanas, com meia dúzia de quartos em cada uma e uma sede agradável, em meio a uma vastidão de campos. Dormimos ao som do vento e não era pouco vento. Sente-se a força da natureza. O quarto era ótimo, limpo, bonito, confortável, boa roupa de cama, boas toalhas. O restaurante também foi diferente. Acolhedor. Bom jantar e bom café da manhã.

I can’t say enough lovely things about Aurora Lodge Hotel. We stayed here for one night as part of a trip down the south coast and we wished we’d booked for longer! The rooms are gorgeous; so pretty and rustic and, while compact, have everything you need. The bar area was a lovely space for a catch up with our travel group after dinner, and an excellent choice of food was provided at the complimentary breakfast. And the view you have while eating is stunning. The whole place is just peace, quiet, and tranquility. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use the hot tubs, as we arrived later than expected due to a storm that delayed our journey, but they looked great. We also didn’t get to experience dinner at the hotel itself, as the kitchen was closed while we were there. But there were enough other options nearby. We will 100% be staying here again if we’re lucky enough to return to Iceland in the future. Just a short note about the road in to the hotel - slow down as soon as you turn off the main road! Lots of pot holes make for a bumpy ride. But you’ll be fine if you take your time.
